I've put together a list of all time American women. I'm pretty sure about the top 5 - and that's an impressive list! But not nearly as sure about places 6 through 10. If there's someone you think I've missed let me know. Thanks. Abby Steiner 10.90 2022 1.0w Jenna Prandini 10.92 2015 1.4w...

His PB is just 10.30 from last year. He seems more than ready to better that time significantly.

Interesting that Tortu was moved from the anchor to the 2nd position, and Ceccarelli is now running the anchor leg.

Renan Correa - fastest 100m time by a U20 white athlete in history.

Well, I think I know why we haven't heard from Renan Correa since his 10.01 victory at the South American U20 Championships . . . At those same Championships, after the 100m, he competed in the 200m. I see that he finished last in his heat, in a time of 88.37. Obviously he got injured and...

Renan Correa - fastest 100m time by a U20 white athlete in history.

This young man is a real find. I've been waiting to see more from him since his 10.01 in May. But as far as I can tell, he hasn't raced since then. Also, I hesitate to put his time above Lemaitre's, because he achieved that result in Bogota, Columbia, which is at significant altitude - 2640...

    2023 World Outdoor Season

Either way, this is a very poor result for Ceccarelli as far as I'm concerned. The time is terrible. And regardless that the others didn't run good times either (10.26, 10.26, and 10.32), none of them have a season's best time under 10.10. So they are not sub-10 sprinters beating Ceccarelli...

****! Samuele Ceccarelli came 4th in the race, with a very disappointing time of 10.38. What the hell happened with him?!

Here's a budding star that we haven't mentioned . . . Neil Laros of The Netherlands. Today in Monaco, he won the B race of the 800m in 1:44.78. He has also run 3:32.89 for the 1500m and 13:23.01 for the 5000m. Incredible range! And, oh, btw, he just turned 18 yrs old in April. Wow!

Hiroki Yanagita of Japan wins the 100m at the Asian Championships, in a very fine time of 10.02 (1.0w). He turns 20 yrs old at the end of this month. Japan seems to always have a crop of good 100m sprinters.

    2023 World Outdoor Season

Norway continues to blow my mind on the track! At the Euro Under 23 Championships today: Havard Bentdal Ingvaldsen took Gold in the men's 400. Henrietta Jaeger barely missed Gold (by 2/100ths) in the women's 400m, grabbing the silver. Henrik Flatnes took Gold in the Long Jump. This is a country...

    Forgotten White Athletes?

I don't know if she - Della Jones Pascoe - is a forgotten athlete, since I never heard of her . . . but it seems she was a very, very good sprinter in her day. Also she was married to a great 400m hurdler, Alan Pascoe...
