you will be pleased W/L.
Ewa Swoboda at last ran a full 100m very well. Third place in Poland Diamond League with a 10.94 (0.2). Extremely good result and rounding into top form just before Budapest.

Meanwhile Aussie 1500m junior Cameron Myers became the fastest all-time world under18 in history with a 3.33.26. The all-time list had been an African cakewalk before Myers started up the top 20 rankings a month or two ago. Sensational!

Kaczmarek (49.48) and Lieke Klaver (49.81) placed 1st and 2nd, each with PBs are also rounding into top form. The Netherlands 4 x 400m women's relay could be something else with 2 sub 50 second girls in the team. Let's hope they have enough depth

Norway continues to blow my mind on the track!

At the Euro Under 23 Championships today:
Havard Bentdal Ingvaldsen took Gold in the men's 400.
Henrietta Jaeger barely missed Gold (by 2/100ths) in the women's 400m, grabbing the silver.
Henrik Flatnes took Gold in the Long Jump.
This is a country of just 5.4 million people!!

Contrast that with Germany - population 83 million.
Woefully few participants in these Championships, especially given the size of their country, and equally woeful performances.
What a waste.
Norway continued their astounding medal haul in the Euro Under 23 Championships.

Andrea Rooth won the women's 400m hurdles.
Kitty Friele Faye took 3rd in the women's Pole Vault.
Pal Haugen Lillefosse also took 3rd in the men's Pole Vault
Markus Rooth (rather small for a decathlete) took Gold in the decathlon and his teammate,
Sander Skotheim, took Silver.

Again, contrasting little Norway, with giant Germany . . . Germany only won 1 medal in all the running and jumping events - a gold medal by Olivia Gurth in the women's steeplechase.

So in total, Norway won 8 medals running and jumping, and Germany won 1 medal.
Germany's population is 15 times greater than Norway.
Germany have become almost pathetic in the sport. They need big, big changes to make themselves competitive in the future.
Norway, meanwhile, has become a track powerhouse.

Congrats to Ewa Swoboda. Finally her first sub 11 and she didn't just barely do it but smashed that 11 second barrier!

That 10.94 she ran today was amazing! It shows just what she is capable of but many of us were wondering if she could ever
put that full race together as her 60 meters are almost unbeatable. Wow is that fast. Faster than Steiner & Luckenkemper!
This should giver Swoboda so much confidence. I think that first one is that hardest one. Now she will believe in herself more!

As track fans, we have to endure the career of Sha'carri. Check out her vapid personality in the interview.

Hiroki Yanagita of Japan wins the 100m at the Asian Championships, in a very fine time of 10.02 (1.0w).
He turns 20 yrs old at the end of this month.
Japan seems to always have a crop of good 100m sprinters.
And another young Japanese sprinter, 20 year old Towa Uzawa, won the Men's 200m, in a very good time of 20.23.

What a great day for Poland. It was great to see the stadium packed with people and man was it loud.

Zaczmarek was simply amazing. No one could have expected that big of a personal best. Epic performance!
So happy to for Ewa Swoboda. This breakthrough was a very long time coming. Maybe Dominik Kopec can be
inspired by this performance to help him reach the same level. They have both been the premier mens and womens
face of sprinting over the 100 meters for close to a decade. I would be fitting to see them both be the 2 fastest Polish
Sprinters ever. The race with Swoboda was even better as it was done without hardly a trace of wind and at home!

The Women in Europe are having an outstanding summer so far and we still have alot of track meets left. We also still have both
the World Championships and also the European Championships.

3 of the top 5 fastest women sprinters in all of Europe are these lovely ladies with Ewa Swoboda not being the fastest sprinter in all Europe!

Swoboda kept putting herself out there. She finally hit it right. When you only run once in a blue moon, you don't give yourself the chance.

Ok now let's see the European Men step up their game. We are going into the most exciting times of the season soon. We only have
2 guys sub 10.10 so far. Hoping Ceccarelli and Larson will make it 4 sub 10.10 sprinters soon but more importantly is for at least one
of these guys to go sub 10 wind legal. It's time to add to the European Sub 10 Club. The more guys that do it, the more it will inspire
the youth. Think of the movie "The Field of Dreams". The famous quote from the movie is "if you build it they will come".

So in Athletics think of this quote. "If you run sub 10's, more young sprinters will Run". Insire the youth like Lemaite and Guliyev among
others. Look at how Norway had 2 male superstars inspire the youth. It can happen anywhere. Show them how it's done men!

Just again to show how much better the European Female Sprinters have been than the Men over the last 50 or 60 years this is
the All Time Fastest European Woman 100 Meters LIst. Out of the top 20 fastest ever 16 of the 20 are white women! Amazing!

See if you can edit Christine Arron out of that list. She's a sista.

I know that but it is the fastest 100 meters times ever run by women in Europe of all time. There are only 4 black female sprinters out of
the top 20! That is what makes it so amazing. The white female sprinters in Europe have outperformed the black female sprinters for over
half a century now. You won't hear anyone else say that but on here on this great message board!

On June 19th in Italy we will see Rohan Browning racing again. Hoping he can throw down a really fast time as he needs to
regain his confidence and swagger. No big name italians in this race but Armand Van Der Walt is entered. Hope he does good.

Rohan Browing won in a time of 10.17 -0.2 wind. Needless to say I was hoping for alot more as were you guys. He had
no competition as no one ran really good. At least Browings time was respectable.

not great, but as you say, no-one ran well. The next best sprinter out of 30 ran 10.38 and the list runs down to mid 11s.
If he ran a solid run it's OK - as coach Murphy says, he rarely pushes himself harder than he needs to.

update from the horse's mouth - I heard today from someone who talks to Murph regularly - 10,1s is exactly where they wanted to be in Celle Ligure. Obviously part of his rounding into peak - tricky on the central nervous system getting ready to peak again apparently

That's some good news. I like you mastermulti believe his coach is a level above most coach's. He almost always has Rohan Browning
in peak condition at the perfect time. Just like in the Olympics. I'm really rooting for Browning to get that legal sub 10 before a major
championship because it would do so much to boost his confidence even more. That first sub 10 is the hardest one. He will get it! The
kid is just so driven and focused. Imagine what it can help do for Australian Sprinting. We have been waiting since the days of Shirvo!

Not sure why but Kopec didn't show up and pulled out of the meet. Probably smart with 1 week until Polish Champs with rounds.

In other news Jan Volko of Slovakia ran a seasons best today of 10.21 +1.7. He is having a descent season. Nothing special but he
has been alot more consistant this year than the last several years. Not sure if he will ever break his 10.13 p.b. again though. I've said
it before but I think his coach has done about all she can do. If he has any chance of progressing again he needs a coaching change.

Jan Volko broke his personal best way back in 2018. He is still only 26 but his coach just hasn't progressed the kid. Back in 2018 Volko
also had a windy 10.07 and he won the 60 meter european indoors championship a couple of years after that. Other than that indoor
title though, it's been all downhill since 2018. Yet like Lemaitre and so many others he stays loyal to his coach. What a waste of talent.

So in the 5 years since Volko turned 20 years of age he has regressed? Yet he still won't leave his coach! Our men are too loyal. It's not
your wife and this is your career. If I were him I would have left the coach 2 or 3 years ago. What a waste of the best years of his life
track wise. He still has a small window if he changed coaching staffs after this summer but I doubt he will.

to be honest, my big hope is that our relay team gets the points up to run in Budapest. Our Nat Rec of 38.17 was set way back in 1995 in Gothenburg when it put us number 8 nation all-time in the world.
We should be now at high 37s and could have been when Jack Hale was running well and Trae Williams was around.

Joshua Hartman is going in the 100 in the Monaco Diamond League tomorrow. He has an SB of 10.14, so who knows, maybe he can get dragged to a fast time. Of course, it'll be hard as he is in Lane 1. The woman's 400 will be good. Sydney McLaughlin looks unbeatable right now, but maybe she can pull Klaver and Kaczmarek to good times. I wish Browning was running. I think he needs to do like Swoboda, i.e., keep running with top competition.
