I wanted to start a thread about a young 21 year old swedish sprinter by the name of Henrik Larsson. The kid in my honest opinion has what it takes to become an elite level sprinter at the adult level. He already has run personal best of 10.20 and 20.81 which were both set two years ago as a teenager. Larsson has a p.b. of 6.60 in the 60 meters! Like everyone he missed a year with the pandemic but I expect him to have a big year. I believe he will go sub 10.15 this year and also bring his 200 meter time alot lower. Time is on his side so we just need to sit back and be patient as he will be known as "The Blonde Bullet" as I like to call him. :)

He looks like a great runner. Along with Marvin Schulte, Oliver Bromby, Kevin Kranz, and Joris Van Gool. Have the amount of white sprinters really start to pick up recently?

Yes a slight uptick. I would say it's the Christophe Lemaitre, Ramil Guliyev and Filippo Tortu showing how it's done and leading by example. Especially with Lemaitre & Guliyev winning Olympic and World Championships Medals at the highest
levels of sprinting. It is slowly inspiring more kids? Imagine what Matthew Boling can do for American Kids. Henrik Larsson has amazing talent as do many of the other guys you mentioned. Let's hope this wave turns into a tidal wave! We know
that we can compete despite the lies that we are told.

another impressive thing here is the number of others virtually with him there at the finish. To the average person those guys are all about as fast as one another.
Yes, like you W/L I credit Lemaitre and Guliyev with giving white sprinting a lease of life, both being medalists in Olympics and Worlds - they gave white sprinting some exposure and fast white kids a dare to dream.
Tortu himself credits Lemaitre in this way

Henrik Larsson is poised for a huge year. He just ran a new p.b. of 6.56 in the 60 meters and is hoping to go sub 10 this summer.
I say let's be patient as Larsson suffered nagging injuries in 2020-2022. Let's hope this is they year his body stays healthy. He is
now 23 years old and looks to be in the best shape of his life!

This is a video of his race a few weeks ago. Can't find the latest one but his power and acceleration reminds me of Julian Reus in
his prime. Only Henrik Larsson is alot taller and even more powerful. Hope he can finally break his 10.20 personal best in the
100 meters from way back in 2019 before he had 3 years of nagging injuries. He is finally healthy and it shows on the track!

2023 has been a great year so far for Henrik Larsson. Why do I say that?

Indoors: Henrik Larsson set a new personal best of 6.53 over the 60 meters.

Outdoors: In the first month of the season Larsson has ran a new 100 meters p.b. of 10.17 and also a 10.09 windy.
Over the 200 meters which isn't his event he also set a new personal best time of 20.44! So I do believe we will see
a few more personal bests as the summer continues on. He is not even in peak condition yet.

I'm going to predict he goes in the 10.05 range in the next month or two! Let's see how it goes. Good luck to Henrik Larsson!

I thought his start looked great in Turku, his body strong - I hope he proves to be consistent in this area.
Many aren't (ie Browning) and it leaves them straining to play catchup - they can never run their own race when under pressure.

Larsson has broken his 60 meters p.b. twice indoors. He broke his 100 p.b. outdoors twice now and his 200 p.b. once all this year!
After the last 3 or 4 years of nagging injuries I think it's safe to say he is back. I feel he is close to popping something huge. Let's
hope to see it at the 2023 World Championships or maybe even sooner!

The kid is really built!

Yes he is and he would have made a very good football player with his height, muscle, speed and coordination but for once we are keeping
an athlete in track and not losing them to other sports. We lose so many of our best guys to other sports.

Larsson will be in the 200 meters tommorow attempting to break his p.b. of 20.44 he set about 2 months ago. Hoping he can get another
personal best time but also stay healthy while doing it. He is a very big tall guy and this is not his event but I'm glad he is doing it as it's
helping his 100 meters times. His speed endurance has increased and hopefully that will continue.

I thought that Larsson would go around 10.10 at the Swedish Champs. The injury he had where he missed almost a month before hand was
a factor but he still ran good. I would be shocked if he doesn't break his 100 meters p.b. at least 1 or 2 more times this year. He is very
close to throwing down the gauntlet with an amazing time. In that 10.13 race last week he really didn't get his typical good start. A little
better start and getting into his absolute peak form he should run a time of 10.05 to 10.09 at minimum in my opinion.

Yeah man, this guy is a specimen. In pre-WWII Germany, his image would have been on propaganda posters. And I mean that as a compliment.

Larsson to World Championship 100 Meters Semi Finals: "Aiming high"
Published: 1 hour ago

Henrik Larsson is the first Swedish men's sprinter in a WC semi-final since 1936. Once there, he hopes for more. You aim high and then you get to see how far you can go.

Henrik Larsson starting 2024 off with a bang. He wins in Germany today in a very fast time of 6.55! His personal best in the 60 meters
came last year at 6.53 but it wouldn't suprise me if he breaks that this year. The man is amazing and hopefully his explosive starts will
continue to pay off outdoors this summer. The guy is destined for go sub 10 in my honest opinion!

Henrik Larsson opened up his 2024 Outdoors Season with a new personal best today in his very first race outdoors. Why did he do you ask? Since you asked I will tell you guys. He shattered his lifetime p.b. in the 100 running a 10.08 +0.3 wind! So he ran this time all on his own with no competition. 2024 just may finally be Henrik Larsons Time to Shine!

One last thing. This is the 2nd fastest time in all of Europe so far in his very first race! :number_one:
