His PB is just 10.30 from last year.
He seems more than ready to better that time significantly.

I was just about to post about him but see it's been done already.
Yes a 10.10 (+2.9) is a big step up and equates to a very nice conditions sub 10.20. He's only 21 so let's watch him. He won the British University champs 60/100 and 200m this year. But better, he beat Marcus Fuchs who set an Austrian record of 10.08 only 6 weeks ago.
So slowly, slowly, let's watch him get better.
It's in a way unfortunate because his smart brain will eventually choose a degree and decent career path

Like you've said in the past, England/U.K. always has fast white guys. For decades now. Must be all that tea & crumpets. Haha.
Not sure why but I love to see the pipeline of white speed continue. I really want one of them to eventually join the sub 10 club.
Craig Pickering, Richard Kilty and quite a few others. Only Gemeli has broke through so far. To be continued.

I've been following his politics for some time - so yes, I'm not surprised he wants to appease the Russians.
I know you think it's punishing athletes (and it is), but personally I think the more ways we can try to get the general population to loathe and to dislodge old Vladimir the better. One thing's for sure - at least then Ukrainian athletes could resume their careers in safety.
As for Belarusians, their leader Lukashenko kowtows to Putin.

There is no point though in pretending the olympics are apolitical. They are just another political propaganda weapon as are many international sporting events.

Disallowing Russia because our regime is busy blowing up and taking over what’s left of Ukraine is stupid, but expected. Are we also going to disallow China because they openly trade w Russia? India?

Hungary is clearly trying to curry favor with Russia with this statement, and is what it is. Countries choose sides.

no, China is owed too many $$$$ and produces so much of what we want that we wouldn't disallow them ...... as you say, countries choose sides

Why? So Russia can go full on globoHomo anti White like the West?
Makes sense. Let's ban more 18 year old tennis players, that seems appropriate..

Ewa Swoboda and Dominik Kopec both repeat as sprint champions in cold, wet rainy conditions running into headwinds!

Ewa Swoboda confirmed her dominance in the national sprint on a cold and rainy afternoon at the stadium in Gorzów Wielkopolski. Struggling with the opposite rain and wet surface, Swoboda won with a time of 11.08. For Iwona Krupa's ward, this is the seventh title of the national champion in the 100-meter run. Krystsina Tsimanouskaya, who had a successful season, was second at the finish line - 11:26. The bronze medal was won by Magdalena Stefanowicz – 11.42.

The sprinters' plans to achieve record results were thwarted by the weather. Rain and headwinds made it difficult to compete in the final. In the last meters, the leader of the national tables, Dominik Kopeć, secured the victory. He won gold with a time of 10.37 and overtook Mateusz Siuda (10.42) at the finish line. To the delight of local fans, the bronze medal was won by Łukasz Żok, a player of the local club ALKS AJP
(10:50).

I have to admit. I mostly follow women’s sports to see the occasional good looking ones and I always root that way. These girls aren’t as good looking as the German instagram model/ runner but they sure look better than the frightening Jamaicans.

Henrik Larsson ran 10.13 (0.9w) in the semi-finals at the Swedish Championships.
He followed that up with a 10.20 in the final to become Swedish Champion.

Good run by Larsson - at the right time too. Running the final seemed to take a little out of his time but running twice must be helpful for his preparation.
Meanwhile an 18 year old just won the South American champs 100m in legal 9.89 NWR.:rolleyes:
And why did Swoboda get someone to draw all over her? :( That might be where her prize money goes.

I posted the video of the race on the Henrik Larsson Thread. You could see he was happy but when he gave the shhh to the
cameras before he walked off the track you could tell he planned to go faster. Despite him only going 10.20 in the finals I'm
happy with his performance coming off a slight injury where he dien't race for over 3 weeks until today.

Larsson has broken his 60 meters p.b. twice indoors, He broke his 100 p.b. outdoors twice now and his 200 p.b. once all this summer.
After the last 3 or 4 years of nagging injuries I think it's safe to say he is back. I feel he is close to popping something huge. Let's
hope to see it at the World Championships or maybe even sooner!

Interesting, in that South American race, Ronal Longa Mosquera got third in 9.99. He was the sprinter Renan Correa defeated when Renan ran his 10.01. As stated earlier in the Renan Correa thread, Renan is out with an injury. Yeah, I don't like Swoboda's tats either.

Simon Plesse is a 21 year old Swedish Sprinter and he finished 2nd to Henrik Olson today in the national championships
running a nice time of 10.27! Not bad for someone so young and taking the silver medal today has to give the kid confidence
going forward. Time is on his side so here is to hoping he continues to slowly get faster in the coming years!

just too "out there" for my liking. I reckon she'd be a really noisy person to be around. Would do your head in at a dining room table.
What's wrong with being quietly confident - a la Femke. You'd take Femke to meet your mum LOL

100 Percent brother. The thing is though that we grew up in better times with more morals & values. Most of the athletes,
movie stars and music stars look alot like her. I've never liked tatoos my whole life. If a women has to have them it should
be very small, and in a place you can't see all the time. It's so unattractive but the young guys & girls seem to love it.

Call me old fashioned but I would want to date or marry a women with more tats than a biker gang.
