Yes, the military to most is a stepping stone to better opportunities once your contract is up. You learn weapons systems, how to correctly lock in and shoot. You learn discipline and a skill. It is not a bad thing. I was in for 8 years. Glad I did it. I was in Desert Storm. I as well as my fellow Marines did not think we were fighting for the star of david. We just wanted the combat and adventure. Sure, we were kind of brain washed by the war movies, but so what. None of us have ever felt or seen a man's legs blown off. We all just wanted to be Audie Murphy. Luckily I can back without any injuries or PTSD issues.

Back on topic: It appears that all of the tweeters, blogs and comments to Riley Cooper articles in support of him may have influenced the NFL to give him "another" chance.

Albert Breer just reported on the NFL Network that Cooper looked "fantastic" (Breer's word) during practice today, catching two long TD passes and another long reception down the sideline. He said that Cooper is regarded as a much better fit for Chip Kelly's offense than he was for Andy Reid's. He also reported that the official line from Kelly and the players is that this is now behind them, although it will still need constant monitoring.

And Aurelius Benn, a bust who was one of those mentioned as possibly taking Maclin's spot should the team demote or cut Riley, apparently has a serious knee injury and is out indefinitely.

The NFL Network also said there would be an upcoming report from Mike Mayock, who was also at the Eagles practice today. Will be interesting to hear what he has to say as I lost a lot of respect for him after his disservice to Ryan Swope.

ESPN has also reported that Cooper had a kickass practice today. They also have a story there as well. Most of the comments are pro Cooper. Yes, you have the few eternal negroes who look for a incident to trash Whites or blame their miserable existence on some mythic fault of the White man who with aid of other groups and his own(negro) out of the bushes and being chased by lions in Africa. Whites will never get credit for giving blacks buco opportunities here.

What a difference one week makes.......this time last week I would have bet the farm that Riley's career was over.......now he's catching two TDs against the Pats......Vick is hugging him..... Avant is calling out the press and saying the players are ready to put this behind them. I know that each and every member of this forum has been posting on the various other mainstream forums in support of Riley........and I think that helped build the groundswell of support that the NFL and the MSM couldn't ignore. Every once in a while we should give ourselves a pat on the back and enjoy some good news. The whole Eagles/Riley Cooper story is going to be an interesting drama to watch play out this year.

As for Cooper, indeed, things appear to have taken a very positive turn. It's unexpected, but most welcome. To make things even better, another WR tore his ACL today, which means Cooper's role will be even more solidified on the field.

Long-time no see...A few days ago after the Cooper thing was first going, I saw in a section of the Dallas Cowboys Fan Forums called "The Rest of the NFL", where the Cooper story was one of the topics. The first 10 or 12 posts made me sick with cowardice-like media-duped fools who essentially said in one voice, "Wow, he better watch out, the whole league of opposing DB and LBs will take him out, his head, or his knee", etc etc. Not one person had yet to say the other side of this situation being totally hypocritical of how blacks use the word about as often as breathing. I said so, and in no uncertain terms said those who don't want to admit that and miss the point are blind and equated them to having the insight and forethought of dead fish floating downstream.
I don't know what happened the next 36 hrs because I was working and not near a computer, but when I got to one, the whole forum topic had been taken down. I did find in my user alerts that 2 people had hit "like" on my post, but the story was gone into thin air by the mods there. Its a one way street to the PC crowd in this whole thing...sigh:lipsrsealed:

The team seems to have moved on from this matter. Once the 53-man rosters are set and Cooper is the starting #2 receiver on the depth chart, then we can truly call it closed.

But some elements in the media cannot seem to let go. In particular, Dan Patrick and certain people on ESPN are not too happy that Cooper is still on the team. This one c*** reporter by the name of Ashley Fox who has written two articles is really pushing the issue to fit the typical CM narrative. I think its a matter of the puppet masters realizing that an awakening could happen if he was not allowed to stay with the team. They put their polls out there, and saw that people aint as stupid as they would like them to be.

I've noticed in the last few days (during all this hoopla over Cooper saying a hurtful word when drunk directed toward pissing off ONE black security guard who wouldn't let him backstage without a pass) some media analyst was harping on how Russell Shepard (the former LSU QB turned WR) was lighting it up in camp. This again illustrates how the media will hype up an undrafted black guy over a white guy they don't like, but never would do it for a guy like Rex Burkhead (6th round) who looked dominant in the session I watched of Bengals camp over a black guy like Cedric Peerman or Daniel Herron.

I'm fairly confident that if Maclin and Benn weren't out for the year Cooper may have been cut for merely saying an epithet while drunk, particularly if Reid was still coach (meanwhile PacMan Jones the attempted murderer, woman beater etc. who left a man paralyzed with a gun shot according to several anonymous witnesses, was still in the league recently). I'm fine with him being fined, but this sensitivity training is pussified culture BS. And just to think only a white man could be kicked out of the league for saying a word while drunk is ludicrous. Hillis mentioned several times he was called a "white boy" or "cra##er" in his 1,000 yard season.

To clarify what I mean over me being fine with Cooper being fined and nothing more, it's b/c players are constantly fined in this league for conduct detrimental to the teams success/ getting along etc. (fines in the NFL are given out as much as drinks at a bar it seems). There's no doubt him using that word could cause problems getting along with some people, but this is totally overblown as I aforementioned in the previous post and it should be 100% handled within the organization. Cooper is WAY too talented to not be in the league over a word, when evil people like "PacMan" are in the league. Sensitivity training for Cooper is PC BS.

We've remarked here a number of times about the undeniable change in the tone of comments after articles the past few years, with more aware people posting, not just on sports and the Caste System but all the other issues of the day. Perhaps Caste Football has been an important part of laying the groundwork for all the support Cooper is getting on talk shows and internet sites.

That is good news Don, I've definitely noticed. However, Yahooligans/ WhiteRivals has a history of taking down comments on articles months later... once the media has engineered a tide turning. Take a look at these articles which had 90% pro-Hillis comments now completely blank of comments.

It will take a group of people, with a whole lot of money to battle with- led by a brave leader (Rand Paul?, an author?, Hollywood Producer? NFL owner who buys without them knowing his political leanings?) and they'd have to reach more of the mainstream. I fear it may get even worse before it gets better.
