With Jordy Nelson exceeding the 1,000-yard mark several weeks ago, we have 3 other pass-catchers with a chance to achieve the mark in Week #15…

Rob Gronkowski, who currently has 997 yards, is one reception away from his 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] 1,000-yard season. Look for Gronk to explode, at home, against the Dolphins.

Julian Edelman currently has 884 yards, so a 116-yard performance could earn him his 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] 1,000-yard campaign. The last time he played against the Dolphins in Week #1, Edelman tallied 95 yards.

Greg Olsen has 850 yards, so a 150-yard day could allow him to accomplish the feat for the first time in his career. Derek Anderson will take over for Cam Newton. The last time Anderson played in place of the fading QuotaBlack was Week #1 and Week #2 (where he was 2-0) and he targeted Olsen early and often. Let’s hope for a big day for Olsen, who is a mere 150 yards away from being only the 7[SUP]th[/SUP] white TE (Ditka, Chistensen, Baravo, Witten, Clark, Gronkowski) to achieve a 1,000-yard season since the 1960’s.

The only other white pass-catchers with any conceivable chance for a 1,000-yard season in 2014 are TE’s Travis Kelce and Coby Fleener, both of whom will need to average around 110 yards in the remaining 3 contests. It’s possible, but unlikely.

As for games, it would be great to see the following developments…

Chargers defeat the Broncos, helping New England’s #1 seed in case of a late-season loss to the Dolphins, Jets, or Bills.

A Manziel-lead Cleveland rout Cincinnati, hurting “Marxist” Lewis’ team’s playoff chances. Preferably, Johnny Football leads the Browns to 3 straight wins, finishing 10-6 and somehow making the playoffs ahead of the Steelers or Bengals.

Houston beats Indy, putting them one game behind the Colts. If the Texans can win-out (against the Colts, Ravens, and Jaguars), and Indy loses 2 of their remaining 3 games (against the Texans, Cowboys, and Titans), JJ Watt's club will win the AFC South.

San Francisco defeats Seattle, Chris Borland injures Russell Wilson (just kidding). It would be great to see Wigger Pete's squad somehow manage to miss the playoffs. Our best hope is their tough remaining schedule (49ers, Cardinals, and Rams) leave them with a record of 9-7. Unlikely, especially given that “The Plantation”
has been playing their best football of late.

Philadelphia edges out Dallas, Cooper/Ertz/Celek have big games. Cole Beasely, who’s being used more than ever in his career, continues to shine.

Carolina defeats Tampa Bay, wins their remaining 3 games under Anderson, a secures a playoff spot ahead of the Saints and Falcons. With Anderson at the helm, Carolina isn't so bad.

Derek Anderson has played in 4 games this year including 1 start. He played well in every one of his appearances.

He won his only start with a 71% completion rate and 2 TDs with 0 interceptions.

Anderson has an opportunity to show that he is a better quarterback than Cam Newton.

Good luck to him.

I'm so paranoid I can half believe behind the scenes rigmarole to keep Anderson from being "too good" while "filling in". I know that won't be the case, but that's how much I despise and distrust the people running the NFL.

Philly Media

Local Philly sports guy Mike Missinelli - who thinks Foles isn't good enough to be the Eagles starter actually said a few weeks ago he would give up first round draft picks for a Cam Newton deal. Now just this past week his new plan is for the Eagles to acquire RG3. It is completely amazing! A guy who has shown you he can be an elite QB and win in this league is not the answer because he threw a few picks playing behind a 3rd string o-line and his running back was MIA early in the season. But two completely inept LOSERS are the answer for the Eagles because of their "potential". I just cannot stand it. And of course now the idiotic Eagle fans are starting to parrot his line. Completely dumbfounding. I hope Chip Kelly doesn't listen to these fools and goes with Foles. The worst thing that could happen to this franchise is we somehow get one of these losers on the team.

I just can't believe my ears sometimes.

After listening to Merril Hoge bash Johnny Manziel all morning he later uttered the words that "Khalil Mack is the best Linebacker in the NFL against the Run." Mack has started every game this year and has a grand total of 62 combined tackles ranking him 94th in the league in tackles. I must not be smart enough to figure out how the basic skill of tackling means so little to stopping a running back. Mr. Structure then continued to rave about his highlight reel tackles. Good grief the bar is low.

Hoge is mentally and emotionally damaged, a victim of the propaganda war. I don't watch very much sports media since it is such crap, but I watched one episode of his unhinged act once and I conclude it is a cry for help. Olbermann acts much the same way, but his drug and alcohol addictions made him a liability to the narrative makers. There is no debating intellectually with damaged people like this, they're done for up in the brain department. If I could I would love to catch Hoge in a wound up moment and then switch the topic to Jordy Nelson I would bet good money he would lose it to the point he would be announcing HS games in Texas (maybe). The Caste System is a division of evil that forces us to tell lies, its easy enough for jews to do this and remain sane since they view themselves as having a higher purpose for their people, ditto for blacks if they can figure it out, but it must kill non-psycho whites, evidence Hoge.

Geez these writers are such morons, as are the idiotic DWFs that agree with them. Foles numbers this season are actually better than Sanchez's as well. This black quarterback fetish is totally irrational and based solely on the myth that blacks are better. Newton would never put up a 27-2 TD/INT ration. The black quarterbacks have been exposed yet again yet no one sees it or wants to admit to it.

Today is Johnny Football time!! Good luck and go get em son!!

Let's Go Johnny Manziel. We have been waiting all year to see him become a starter. It's a very tough test against a stellar defense. I just hope people realise that he will make mistakes but you have to give him time. This is going to be fun to watch.

Rumors on the internet about the AZ Cardinals possibly being interested in Tim Tebow. Both their starting and backup quarterbacks are hurt. I think it would be a good signing but i doubt it will happen.

Dolphins try a run on 3rd on 6 against the Pats and only pick up 3 and end up getting a blocked FG returned for a TD.

I hope that is Tebow gets another shot. Also, why didn't the Cardinals drafter Mettenberger or McCarron over freakin Logan Thomas

Edelman with 40 yards already. About 70 yards from 1,000.

Gronk 3 yards from 1,000.

Gerhart with 20 yards on 4 carries. Would be nice to see a 100+ yard day for Toby.

Greg Olsen with 40 yards already. About 110 yards from 1,000.

Manziel executing the highly conservative playbook appropriately.
His teammates, on the other hand, are playing like they've already checked out of this season.

Are they trying to do to him what the Broncos did to Tebow?

Jags better give the ball to Gerhart. They are getting sacked every play and nothing else is working. It's clear they don't even want him to have the ball unless it's the only alternative. Bortles is not doing much good today and just needs to hand off.

I just stopped watching.
Seems like a coach who's trying to get fired. Manziel getting no opportunity to make any plays. The couple of times that he has, his players have dropped the ball.

Add: And the FOX broadcasting crew doing their part by blaming Manziel every time one of his receivers air-fumbles the ball.

Yea its amazing how they try to rip apart young white QBs yet the criticism of black QBs is nothing more than excuses and blaming everyone around the QB.

JJ Watt with 3 tackles and a sack of Luck.

Greg Olsen with 76 yards in the first half, only 70 yards from 1,000.

Everyone piling on Manziel as expected. I hope he has a strong second half.

He's had multiple balls go right into the hands of WRs and they drop it, the Fox crew bashes him.

Then he has 2 interceptions where the WR lets a player that is behind them jump in front of them and somehow that's his fault too.

Football has to be the only sport where someone jumping from behind you and in front of you, is another persons fault as long as that other persons fault is white.
