Interesting that 9/11 of the sprinters on the men’s side ran their times within the past 3 years. Definitely a promising trend and it really shows what we’ve been saying for a long time. If whites just participate in the sprints more, there will be a lot more at the elite level. It’s just a numbers game.

Two stalwarts of this list are now off the list as Marty Krulee and Kevin Little were at or near the top of this list for years. Teeters and Quinn are two what ifs to me as both never had a serious run as pro runners. Both Little and Krulee ran for years on the pro circuit and Little made both indoor and outdoor world teams and won a world indoor title and multiple minor medals.

Kevin Little's 10.14 from 1998 has to be worth about 10.05 these days.
And Larry Questad's 10.18 from 1968 has to be even better.
I wish there was some formula to update times from years ago, to their 'value' today.

It doesn’t mean much but I decided to ask ChatGPT to estimate what Larry Quelstad’s time would be today and it estimated it to be a 9.98-10.04. Kind of interesting.

Here is a photo of Larry Questad and others, at the 1968 Olympic Trials in the 200m.
He came in 3rd. Jerry Bright was 4th, and Bill Bruckel was 6th. Half the finalists were white.
