Wohoo Zenner has moved up due to an injury to the real affletes. Now only 2 more bruthas have to get hurt for the white guy to see the field!
Zenner college stats
1095 rushes for 6548 yards. 61 tds. 6 ypc. 909 yards receiving.

Dwayne Washington
226 rushes for 1311 yards 17 tds. 41 catches for 411 yds receiving.

Theo Riddick
244 for 1169 5 tds rushing, 120 for 1263 receiving.

On what planet does Dwayne Washinton or Theo Riddick look more promising than Zach Zenner to these delusional dolts or to anyone with a brain !?!? It is comete insanity! Zenner leads the league rushing in preaseason and had the best preseason game out of all Lions running backs to top it off!

Great news for Zenner!

The new starting RB in Detriot, Theo Riddick, was given a 3-year contract extension only a few weeks ago. He's always been a scat back who mainly plays on 3rd down and hurry-up situations, so it'll be interesting to see if his usage remains the same, with Washington and Zenner taking 1st and 2nd down duties.

If Washington has any problems (injuries, turnovers, poor play, etc), Zenner could be in line for some major playing time. With Woodhead's ghastly ACL injury, Zenner's success would be a nice consolation...

Zenner had no carries against the Packers. Theo Riddick carried 9 times for 10 yards, while the "great" Dwayne Washington rushed 10 times for 38 yards.

Washington's 3.8 ypc is pedestrian, yet he continues to get hyped while Zenner continues to be edged toward the memory hole.

Is Dwayne Washington playing his way into larger role with Lions?

With Washington injured and likely out this Sunday, Zenner is getting some positive fantasy buzz, likely aimed at people playing FanDuel or DraftKings and hoping to buy low and get a nice result from a RB...

"Zach Zenner, DET – Obviously, this is contingent on Dwayne Washington being out, and in fact, if Washington plays, you can swap him in here. The Lions need someone, anyone, to be the early down and short yard option. Theo Riddick just doesn’t have the ability to be that guy, and it was never more evident than when the Lions tried to run him up the middle at the goal line."

"Zach Zenner: Zenner is the next man up in the Detroit rotation as Dwayne Washington went down with an ankle injury. To this point Theo Riddick has proven he can’t be the lead back as he has averaged 3 yards per carry when given the chance. Zenner’s college career screams bell cow runner as he produced 3 seasons over 2000 yards. Zenner may only be the deepest of plays, but he does offer the upside to get the job done."

"Zach Zenner: Dwayne Washington left Sunday’s loss with a foot and ankle injury, and while it won’t be an extended absence it seems unlikely he’ll play against the Eagles on Sunday. That opens up a role for Zenner, though it’s a miniscule role behind Theo Riddick as the Lions will continue to go pass-happy. As I’ve written in this column a few times and keep repeating aloud as I walk down the street, confusing and terrifying onlookers: The Lions want to go no-huddle as often as possible, and when you go no-huddle you don’t substitute often, even near the goal line. Zenner actually got a single shot on the goal line, just like Washington did in Week 3. And, just like Washington in Week 3, he was stopped behind the line of scrimmage."

With a plethora of injuries, I'd love to see Zenner have his "Peyton Hillis Breakout Moment" against the Eagles, who have had a great defense this season. With Abdullah on IR and Washington injured, fumbling, and underachieving, it could be Zenner's job to lose. I wish him the best.

Caldwell supposedly wants to give Zenner more touches this week:Caldwell

It must pain him to no end. Hopefully Zenner shines and keeps it up. The deck is stacked against him. Just as with all great White NFL players, he'll have to play three times better than his Black counterparts on both sides of the ball. I hope he fills up some highlight reels with great plays because all he needs is enough chances. That is asking the caste system to pull teeth, but Caldwell may have no option. I wish Zenner much success!

It seems as if Zenner will have to get some playing time. Unless Washington makes a miraculous recovery, not unusual in this NFL. Coach Caldwell is under intense fire from the local media and fan base which is agitating for him to be fired. He went through this last year as the team started our horribly until Caldwell fired some coaches and the team got into the soft part of their schedule and started to win. Caldwell cannot afford to leave any card unplayed so I'm hoping in desperation he turns to Zenner and he has some success. The kid is talented but the offensive line is bad so he can't expect much help there. I expect the Lions to get scored on early and often so that means lots of passes. Zenner probably won't get many carries but might have some pass reception opportunities.

News is that Theo Riddick is sidelined with an ankle injury. Even if he plays this week, and no doubt Forsett will get some carries, Zenner might get significant snaps.

They need to give Zenner the whole game. It is impossible to succeed when you don't get a commitment from the coach. I feel like Zenner had a chance to take the job on the goal line against the Eagles and game previous and he just didn't punch it in. There's no roo5for error unfortunately. He had to score in thise situations. Sadly the plays seemed predictable when they put him in. Right up the middle every time.

There's a good reason Forsett was cut from the Ravens. His best days were a product of Kubiak's ZBS. I doubt he'll be productive on the Lions.

From Weenieworld. Much better to play the washed-up Forsett than give Zenner an opportunity. Even the "Hillis Curse" doesn't work in Zach's case:

ESPN Lions reporter Michael Rothstein expects Dwayne Washington (foot/ankle, questionable) and Justin Forsett to split work Week 6 against the Rams. This is assuming Washington is able to play after getting in just one limited practice this week. For what it is worth, Rothstein believes Washington will suit up and expects both the rookie and Forsett to see "in the neighborhood of 10 to 12 carries" each. The Rams' defensive line is banged up and was run over by the Bills last week, but neither back is an exciting play in an uncertain situation.

Zenner referred to as "plodding" by Racist Rotowire...

"With Theo Riddick (ankle) ruled out for Sunday and Ameer Abdullah (foot) already shelved for the year, the Lions may not be able to afford a patient approach with Washington's injury. The team's other backfield options are plodding 2015 UDFA Zach Zenner, 31-year-old Justin Forsett (who was signed Tuesday) and 250-pound fullback Michael Burton. However, it's quite possible Washington still won't be available, as he just returned to practice Friday as a limited participant, after sitting out last week's win over the Eagles. If he does play, Washington would be the favorite to lead Detroit's backfield, as he passed Zenner on the depth chart without any problems before the season."

In the real world, Zenner ran a faster 40 yard dash than both Forsett and Riddick...and was only 0.1 seconds behind Washington.

I think Washington, who has only practiced once in the past two weeks, is only used sparingly tomorrow and Zenner gets more of a chance than the bleak predictions from the Caste media. I'm rooting hard for him to break out against a great Rams defense.

All too typical caste-speak by an anti-white racist. Zenner has never "plodded" once in all his time with the Lions. He has been an exciting runner that is fast, quick, and elusive. This guy would describe Julian Edelman as "plodding" because all he sees is skin color.

I too think Zenner will see plenty of action. Forsett is too new and Washington is injured, or will be again, because that's who he is. The only thing that might happen is Caldwell forcing the ball to Forsett and Washington early and if the Lions get down it will be all passing. But that still favors Zenner as he is an excellant pass catcher and blocker.

I did some reading about the Lions RB situation in the local media. The consensus is that Forsett gets the majority of the touches with Washington getting the rest. One writer made the point that it is obvious the Lions have no faith in Zenner, he was inactive the first two games, activated but did not play in another, so why would they play him now?

What gets me is why does a team even have a white RB on the roster if they aren't going to play him when injuries open a spot? It's not like anyone would care if they had no white guys at the position, so theoretically he is there because he earned it. Zenner has played well in the few spots he's been in. Last year he was doing very well before his injury and he is completely recovered from that. When you consider how a single good play by a black RB is enough to put him in a starting position, it is amazing the "plodding" path that a white RB has to tread to get any playing time at all.

Weenieworld despises Zenner:

Dwayne Washington - RB - Lions
Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com believes Dwayne Washington (ankle) will "get a nice workload" if Theo Riddick (ankle) sits again this week.

Both Riddick and Washington were out last week, but Washington is expected back after getting in a limited practice Wednesday. Riddick was not able to practice. Justin Forsett should start to take on a bigger role as he becomes more comfortable in the offense, and Zach Zenner showed enough last week to retain some snaps as well. This is shaping up as a situation to avoid if possible.

I watched most of that game and Zenner is a complete back - running, receiving and pass protection. He is the best RB on that roster.

Same **** on NFL.com fantasy page. They are hoping Washington returns "because Zenner can't get it done" .

Could you imagine if somebody said that about Dak at this point in the season?Heads would roll and the writer would be ran out of football for being "racist".

Zenner accounted for 3 of the 5 longest plays Detroit had in his only extended opportunity of his young career, yet he somehow "didn't show enough" or some such ... i'm confused as to how this is true. is anyone calling for the Rams' Todd Gurley to head the bench for being "plodding" and "not getting it done?" Zenner ran for the exact same yardage on the same number of carries as Gurley did in their game Sunday, but if anything Zenner showed more explosiveness, as he had a 15-yard run (which tied Gurley's long run of the day), as well as another 19-yard carry and a 15-yard catch-and-run (which was longer than Gurley's top reception), all against what is widely considered to be the best defensive front 7 in the NFL.

"somehow," though, i'm guessing there's a "reason" behind this obvious double standard.

Zenner is stuck in the can't win world of white running backs. No results are good enough to move them up the depth chart, and any bad results are automatic reasons for being caste aside. In Zenners case his main competition Dwayne Washington has been the beneficiary of one good run in the preaseason which caused the media and fanbase to anoint him as the next great black savior at running back. Washington is usually presented as the second coming of Jim Brown, as are all black rookies. He was first given attention because of his "speed" but moved up the depth chart as a "goal line back" because of his size. So really he can do everything! Just because Zenner is also strong and fast only means that he is plodding and nothing special.

It escaped most people's notice but in a play the last game a d-back took a head shot at Zenner while he was being tackled that should have been called for targeting. It was noticeable in that the guy that did it hurt himself and had to go out for a few plays. If you watch Zenner play you can see the extra effort the black defenses put into tackling him.

Zenner is the first back since Jacob Hester, Jim Leonard, and Rex Burkhead, to come into the league as a versatile RB, not a powerback like Peyton Hillis or a scatback like Danny Woodhead. Note that Hillis and Woodhead are among the few white running backs that have any success in the NFL over the last 20 years. Zenner could break that mold, but it will only happen if the other guys are injured or really ineffective and if Zenner can excel in his few opportunities. At any rate it an extremely rare opportunity in which a white guy will be a significant option running the ball.

Flint you meant Brian Leonard as opposed to Jim Leonard.

Hell, Christian McCaffrey probably isn't going to get an opportunity to carry the ball in the Negorid Football League. IF a team drafts him with the stated intent of being their #1 back, we will hear how a 6th round black RB Martavious Jones from D3 South Cacakalackie State who was picked by the same team as Christian has looked "really good in training camp" and may "take some carries away from McCaffrey." Then with Christian's wonderful 80% black teammates and 90% ***** defenders in the league, well you know the rest.

Looking at their injury report it looks like a good chance Washington will be a scratch or very limited again this week so maybe ZZ will get another chance to shine.

The Redskins are the local team around here and they are playing Detroit on Sunday. That would be outstanding if Zenner gets most of the carries again this week and I can watch all of it.
