Great breakdown Don! We'll see if the genius mixed things up this off-season. Get back to basics. Pat's Free Agent haul was bad and we all know their Draft record is below average, year in and out.

So despite a mid-season hot streak the Patriots finished just 10-8 after being blown out by Buffalo yesterday. Checking Weenieworld just now, here's how some of the players they threw a lot of money at this past off-season fared:

Jonnu Smith -- 4 years $50 million, with $31.25 million of it guaranteed: a pitiful 28/294/1. On top of that he's a terrible blocker. By contrast, Hunter Henry was signed for 3 years and $37.5 million and far outproduced Smith with 50/603/9, plus he's an excellent blocker.

Nelson Agholor -- the long-time first round disappointment was signed to a 2 year $22 million deal after finally having a pretty good season with the Raiders in 2020. He finished just 37/473/3.

Kendrick Bourne -- had a decent year with 55/800/5, which is his best season so far but he's still at best a third receiver type, not someone to build a receiving corps around.

And oh yes, first round bust N'Keal Harry remained with the Patriots despite demanding a trade in spite of his awful play, finishing 12/184/0. He has 598 career yards in three seasons now.

The Genius still has a lousy eye for talent, except for those of a certain pigmentation who he used to rescue from the NFL trash heap but no longer does.
Once again, we were pretty much the only ones predicting the Pats huge off-season free agency spending bonanza would be a bust. Pretty much all of the media types loved the moves. Yet our views are considered crazy and fringe.

Personally, I predicted the Pats would be a game over or under .500, so I sold them a little short. However, after getting blown out of the playoffs and finishing only 2 over, I feel pretty vindicated with what I said.

More importantly the defensive moves they made blew up in their faces last night. I think the play of the game was Josh Allen blowing by Judon in the first quarter for a long run. We can always hope that the Patriots decide to make some better FA and draft decisions. Addressing the o-line and WR positions to help out Mac Jones.

Weenieworld's take on Mac Jones. Such a joke.

Mac Jones completed 24-of-38 passes for 232 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Patriots' 47-17, Wild Card loss to the Bills, adding two carries for 18 additional yards.
Just the 13th rookie quarterback to start a playoff game since 2011, Jones never really had a chance to earn a #QBWin as the Bills marched up and down the field on offense, going 7-for-7 on touchdown drives. Jones was already behind 14-0 at the end of the first quarter, a deficit that ballooned to 27-3 by halftime. Jones' play, of course, didn't help, but neither interception was an egregious mistake. He was also hurt by drops. INT No. 2 was a potential deep ball score that arguably should have been caught or broken up by Nelson Agholor in the end zone. Instead, Micah Hyde played center field and made a sensational grab. The second was a second half tip job that formally ended any chance the Pats had of making a comeback. Although largely solid as a rookie, Jones rarely threatened down the field, something that continued tonight. He completed only 22 passes of 20-plus yards, good for 15th in the league. Pro Football Focus charted his deep ball YPA at 11.9, tying him for 21st with Jimmy Garoppolo. Headed into his age-24 campaign, Jones may already be close to a finished product, though there is plenty of room for improvement in his skill corps. That will help while Jones will only further refine what is looking like an efficient, professional skill-set. He did a decent job of protecting the ball as a rookie. Jones doesn't have the looks of a future superstar, but at the very least, he seems likely to finish out his rookie deal as a starter.

Was channel surfing and came across the Patriots-Chiefs conference championship game following the 2018 season and watched the fourth quarter and OT, part of an ongoing Tom Brady retrospective on the NFL Network. One clutch play after another by Brady, Edelman, Gronk, Hogan and Burkhead. Burkhead scored the final TD in regulation for the Patriots and then the game winner in overtime. Still an exciting game to watch even knowing the outcome!

That was the last New England team to go to the Super Bowl, and the last team that was the Patriots as we remember them, as Gronk retired after the Super Bowl and Hogan ended up in Carolina the next season. Edelman still had one big season left, while Burkhead still put up decent stats in between injuries.

That Patriots team beat the Rams in the Super Bowl, and now the Rams are the closest reminder we have of those memorable New England teams, but I have a feeling that unless things change in this country nothing will top the run we got to witness for about a decade of those great New England teams with their mostly White offenses.

Great memories of that team! Your probably right Don, it’s unlikely we will see a squad like that again. It’s my opinion that Brady had a huge influence on the makeup of the starting offensive roster inspite of Belichick. What do you guys think?

Belichick put the roster together and signed "retreads" like Woodhead, Welker, Burkhead, Amendola and others. We've agreed to stay away from the "White quarterbacks do, or should, act as assistant GMs" line of discussion unless strong evidence is offered as it's created unneeded friction at times over the years by a few posters who took it to extremes. Aaron Rodgers advocated for Jake Kumerow to no avail, and that's par for the course.

Matt Sokol tight end from the lions claimed off waivers by the Patriots. Could be a kick up the arse for Asiasi and even Jonmu Smith with Hunter Henry secure as number 1 tight end.

I am hoping Dalton Keene has a healthy preseason and is able to get playing time.

Also Stidham has been traded to the Raiders

It's entertaining to see them double down on stupid.

Agreed. Stupid me made this post before Packers horrific Draft and UDFA Class! lol.

Patriots, Packers, and possibly Vikings all seem to be on the decline in CF rooting interest.

The Bills, too. Big decline for them.

They shouldn't even use the word gay. Call them what they really are which is Sodomites. It's an abomonation to the Lord and to normal people with morals and values. This world is beyond the twilight zone. When our military branch's
are celebriding Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transexual and every other thing you can think of you know our country like Rome is a fallen superpower. The world is laughing at us. Even Putin talks about how America hates marraige and family.

Ok enough of that crap. Hoping the Patriots can put down the skittles and concentrate on building a team that could compete for the super bowl again on a yearly basis. They have the right quarterback. Put the pieces around him.

Amen to this. This "nation" deserves to be laughed at by any and every non-pro-sodomite country or people group on Earth. I'd love to see the NFL implode but there's too many "Oh well, whatcha gonna do?" DWFs out there waiting in line for their funeral to be official (since they're brain dead already) still going to games or paying $$ that fund this Commie demon organization called the NFL. All I can do anymore is cheer on White athletes to do so well they make their peers of the darker shade look like school boys. It's really come down to that in my case.

Resist Groomer Month gents.
That's exactly what this agenda has been for 20+ years. Beyond insane that people don't see it.

Another dud receiver trying to save his "upside" by possibly switching to TE, in this case a former first round draft pick by The Genius. Arcega-Whiteside, a second round bust pick by Philly, is trying to do the same:

ESPN's Mike Reiss notes that Pats WR N'Keal Harry is a long shot to make the roster and his "best chance" might be to ask about a switch to tight end.
The Patriots reportedly looked to deal Harry all offseason and found no takers. Harry missed the team's voluntary OTAs. Harry would be competing with 2020 draft non-factors Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene at tight end if such a switch would happen, but the fact that it has to be discussed at all likely means that Harry's release is assured in August.

Lol all these fat WRs trying to save themselves by being TEs..

Imagine if Greg Olsen was allowed to be a big WR at 230 rather than bulked up to his racially appropriate position.

A lot of White tight ends could be stars at WR if allowed to lose some weight and make the switch, similar to the way so many White "fullbacks" could be successful power backs. At least there's so many good White TEs now that many are used some of the time as receivers, something that almost never happened before.

Agreed. In the Golden Age of TEs most of our guy's could definitely double as WRs. Most already are defacto wide outs.

Gee, I don't recall seeing Weenieworld blurbs like this when the Patriots had an all-White o-line, Gronk, and a number of White receivers and running backs they "rescued" from the NFL trash heap. But don't worry, Mac Jones will take the blame if the Pats bomb this year, or maybe it will be attributed to the loss of Josh McDaniels. Even now they could have Andy Isabella for peanuts:

The Athletic's Chad Graff writes "the point of concern is nearing" for the Patriots offense after it has struggled badly throughout training camp.
"The running game struggled," Graff writes. "The receivers didn’t get open. The incompletions mounted." And the quarterbacks have been under constant pressure. With longtime OC Josh McDaniels gone, coach Bill Belichick has handed offensive coaching duties to ex-DC Matt Patricia and former special teams coach Joe Judge. Patricia is coaching the offensive line and calling the plays while Judge is handling Mac Jones and the quarterbacks. Just an utter nightmare. It's a big concern for Jones' development. This offense is completely devoid of playmakers, and the coaching sounds even worse.
