i sometimes wonder if the sports "reporters" who are getting paid to "report" are fully literate. they certainly aren't professional ... as it appears to be beyond their ability to check their stories for accuracy and mistakes. such as the error this link shows, where Notre Dame running back James Aldridge literally touches the sky with hisleaping ability.
<BR itxt="1">also, it's apparent that Notre Dame safety Kyle McCarthy looked good today, improving his 40 time from the Combine. most reporterslist him as running the 40 in 4.55 and 4.56 secondswhile otherwise performing only position-specific drills. you can see that info here and here. but apparently McCarthy is sooooo talented he also ran the 40 in 4.58 and 4.54 AND ran the 3-cone drill in 6.50 seconds ... despite not even participating in that drill!
you can see those "official" numbers from Gil Brandt here. how many times did he have to run the 40?!?!?
you'd think "professional"sports journalists [sic] would be able to get their stories straight ...
ND's 6-3, 205-poundwideout Robby Parris performed, as well.it looks like the tall receiver can really get off the ground. here are his numbers:
also, if you click on any of those links, you'll quickly note how many incredibly un-athletic affletes Notre Dame has on its roster. and a lot of 'em couldn't even run the 40 without "pulling a hamstring." ha!
wow. blacks really can jump!James Aldridge, RB Vertical: 31.5 feet
