Hopefully, there will be some hard evidence linked to him, like DNA. Since she was "underage", he should be charged (at least) with Statutory Rape, since it wouldn't matter whether she consented or not.

Sir Lawrence must have got hammered on a case of beer and welded poor judgement by getting "dirty" with a 15 year old negress. Oh the shame. I hope he is convicted. It is not out of the realm of possiblity look at the Juice, spending his golden years in the pokey.

A black football player accused of causing a death gets off with probation and a small fine, as do his cousin and his friend. One assumes Charles Grant will seamlessly report toan NFL teamand continue his over-rated career with nary a peep from anyone. Will the "hardline" commissioner suspend him or is he too busy helping to destroy the reputation of a prominent White player not even charged with a crime?


This received almost no publicity; most DWFs won't even know that Grant was charged with manslaughter; others will know but will still cheer him on as if nothing happened.

BLAKELY, Ga. â€" Former New Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grant, who was charged with involuntary manslaughter in a Georgia nightclub fight that killed a pregnant woman has pleaded no contest to a lesser charge and was sentenced to probation.


Assistant District Attorney Ron Smith says Grant was fined $1,000 and ordered to pay $20,000 restitution to the Early County Sheriff's Office last week for his role in the February, 2008 fight. He pleaded no contest to affray, which means fighting.


The 31-year-old Grant, who is from Colquitt, Ga., was stabbed in the neck during the fight in nearby Blakely that resulted in the death of 23-year-old Korynda Reed.


Smith says Grant's longtime friend, Laquient Macklin, and Grant's cousin, Marshae Stromer, pleaded guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter and affray and paid $1,000 fine and were put on two years probation.

Police seek lovers of circus acrobat alleged to have knowingly spread HIV

A CIRCUS acrobat who is alleged to have knowingly spread HIV has forced a national appeal for information from people who may have come into contact.


The 31-year-old Zimbabwean-born Australian citizen appeared in a Sydney court today for an extradition hearing and is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow,


Queensland Police Acting Deputy Commissioner Col McCallum said the man, who has been HIV positive since 1997, would face two charges relating to transmitting a serious disease.


Queensland Health chief health officer Jeannette Young has asked other women who had sex with the man to come forward for testing.

The manhas been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm or transmit a serious disease .


Mr Zaburoni has worked as an acrobat in a circus and arrived in Australia from Zimbabwe in 1997.


Ms Young said the man allegedly had had unprotected sex with at least 12 women across the country.


It is believed he had sex with seven women in Queensland and others in NSW and Victoria, but it is possible there were others in other states.


Anyone within Queensland with information which could assist police in this matter is urged to contact the Queensland Health contact line. Outside Queensland, people with information can call CrimeStoppers on 1300 333 000.

DAVIE The Dolphins not only haven't banished Phillip Merling following Thursday's arrest for aggravated battery on his pregnant girlfriend, they haven't taken away the right defensive end's starting job.

Merling is out on $15,000 bail.

And his fellow defensive linemen showed their support at the end of Friday's practice, running interference for him by gathering in a circle to collectively take off their jerseys, then quickly scattering, which allowed Merling to disappear like Houdini.

While he escaped questions about the incident that led to his arrest, Merling can expect a sit-down with coach Tony Sparano.

Judge says Walker has made no progress in repaying gambling debts, penalties

A judge Monday ordered former NBA all-star Antoine Walker to face trial on felony bad check charges that allege he failed to repay almost $1 million in gambling debts and penalties to three Las Vegas casinos.


The 33-year-old Walker said nothing as he appeared Monday with his lawyer, Jonathan Powell, before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melanie Andress-Tobiasson. Walker remains free without bail until his June 30 arraignment in state court.



The judge said that Walker had not made any progress repaying some $770,000 he owes on a promise last November to pay $905,050 in restitution, court fees and penalties.


At the time, Walker forfeited toward that amount the $135,000 cash bail he posted after his arrest at a celebrity golf tournament in July in Lake Tahoe.


Andress-Tobiasson bound Walker over for trial in Clark County District Court on three criminal bad check charges that, combined, could get him probation or send him to prison for up to 12 years if he is convicted.


Walker and his lawyer did not comment .


Bernie Zadrowski, chief of the Clark County district attorney's bad check unit, said outside court that Walker's Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing last month in Florida complicated the Las Vegas criminal case.


The charges stem from $1 million in casino markers that Walker used between July 2008 and January 2009 at Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and the Red Rock Resort. Nevada law treats unpaid markers as bad checks, and they can be turned over to the district attorney for prosecution.


Walker's bankruptcy filing claims $12.7 million in liabilities and $4.3 million in assets, including the 2006 NBA championship ring he won with the Miami Heat.


Walker, a Chicago native, was a three-time all-star with the Boston Celtics before going to Miami. He has not played in the NBA since 2008 but played briefly in Puerto Rico during the 2009-10 season.
