BSPN continues to assault Iowa - black players complaining "they couldn't be themselves". Iowa has standards under Ferentz and they don't fall in line with what the black players who CHOSE to attend Iowa wanted. Iowa remains as one of the very few programs that have been better than average in terms of fairness to white athletes at most positions. Ungrateful black players are whining and trying to get Ferentz out and destroy the Iowa football program.
https://www.espn.com/college-footba...black-players-speak-program-racial-inequities

I guess these black players have never heard of that famous term to describe Iowans "Iowa Nice?" The feeling is Iowans are middle of the road politically ( no Nazis or ANTIFA types). By the way there are probably what a total of what ten to fifteen actual Nazis in the USA. Iowans are known for being neighborly and as a state rank among the best in education. They seem like the most harmless people imaginable. Meanwhile the new black male has moved away from masculinity and mutated into the worst type of nagging bitch wives known to mankind. Whining little babies.

One of the things that gets under a lot of black people's skins are teams that are generally more white than the norm. In fact I would like to see a study to measure the rate and percentage of blacks who root for white players. We know a ton of Whites root hard for black players but I think the results of such a study would be very instructive. This kind of bitching and whining from blacks really gets under my skin. It reminds me of that old war horse MLB brings out every stinking season bitching about what they see as the low level of black players in baseball. Conveniently glossing over the large amount of "black" Latin players who dot rosters. Hell if you take a way White Europeans from the NBA the puny level of White American players would become even more obvious. Of course no one in the media dare bitch about that.

So blacks want to turn Iowans into ass wipes so they can continue to bitch like girly men. When you consider Iowa has the best home field atmosphere in all of college football with the children's hospital overlooking the stadium this black bitching story is a slap in the face of humanity.

It is disgusting to think that immature blacks have a problem with a school whose top priority is to support very sick children ( of all races by the way).

If there is a season this year Notre Dame will be playing in the ACC.

The ACC announced that it will play an 11-game schedule, with Notre Dame included and eligible to play for the conference title.
The ACC is hoping to be able to play 10 conference games, plus one non-conference contest this fall. Opening kickoffs are scheduled for the week of Sept. 7-12. The big news on this one comes less in the surface-level announcement, more in the fact that we'll see Notre Dame folded into the fray. Given that the ACC has been mostly mediocre outside of Clemson in recent years, the addition of an Irish team which set program records on offense last season should provide a fun little extra spark to the proceedings.

The SEC is following in the footsteps of the Pac 12 and Big Ten by having a 10 game conference only schedule which I believe starts in late September.

That leaves the Big 12 who will likely make an announcement next week. It is important to keep in mind all this might be for naught since college football is understandably much tougher to pull off than pro sports. Many more obstacles to overcome.

No one is surprised Independent Notre Dame seamlessly squeezed into the ACC because they are a member of that conference in their other sports. Some are suggesting this could end up a permanent thing.

There are only several other Independents including Army and newcomer UCONN. BYU has the most to lose. They have now lost six games off their schedule. What the hell are they supposed to do now? I thought the Pac 12 would let them in for the year but I guess not.

I have a simple solution for the college football season: just play the damn thing with full stadiums. Don’t test anybody and get on with it. If somebody feels sick, they stay in their dorm or don’t come to the game. Why are we still doing this nonsense after five months of lies and fear-mongering?

The Big 12 could announce as early as Monday their plans. I suspect they will lay out a conference only schedule. I have also heard rumors the ACC may can their one non conference games and go strictly for a conference only schedule. If both of these things happen then all Power 5 conferences will only play in conference games. I am not too hot and bothered by that as long as the experiment proves successful.

BYU is not Notre Dame ( who is?) but they are still a huge football school and if ( and that is a huge if) there is a fall season it is unacceptable that they would have to settle for the six game schedule they are left with after the conference bail outs. Below is an article that lays out their options. At the last minute they tried to join the Big 12 but that was swiftly knocked down. If there is a season I am pretty certain BYU will be accommodated and will ultimately play a ten game schedule. It probably won't look like their usual tough schedule but at this point that is the least of their problems.

https://www.si.com/college/byu/news/the-latest-on-byu-footballs-scheduling-options

BYU is a big boy. At the end of last year they signed an exclusive seven year contract with ESPN that runs through the 2026 season. The contract stipulates that ESPN broadcast all BYU home games.

Army, Liberty and Connecticut are other Independent schools that will be scraping around to fill up their schedule.

I also wonder if more than a few non Power 5 conferences will have the resources and money to get things done in this current environment? I would not be surprised if a few more conferences bail out like the Ivy League did earlier. The Ivy League has not ruled out a spring schedule which is where the whole shebang might be heading anyway?

Personally I am fairly confident the NFL will get in a full season. Money and resources are not a problem for them. Say what you will but the NFL is run like a proper business. MLB is a top down half ass operation run by perhaps the biggest moron commissioner in the history of sports.

Nice rundown Shadowlight

Since BYU did not get in with the PAC 12....Thinking they would be a solid addition in the Mountain West Conf.; San Diego State ; Boise State & Utah State are already on their schedule. They could add Hawaii; Wyoming ; Fresno State; San Jose St or UNLV etc...and an Independent like New Mexico State or even Liberty.

The only Silver lining i can find in the Ivy League playing in the Spring would be more exposure.

Still can't believe Iowa can't play Iowa State; Florida cant play Florida State; No Georgia /Georgia Tech or Clemson vs. So Carolina after 111 straight years. Wisconsin cant play . Notre Dame in Lambeau even though they are in the same Big 10 Footprint? Ohio State vs Oregon would have been interesting! Was looking forward to the LSU/Texas rematch too.

TwentyTwo's thought about BYU joining the Mountain West is as plausible as any other scenario.

Meanwhile the Big 12 has opted for a 9 game in conference schedule with an added non conference game which will likely be played prior to the conference games. They join the ACC in having an added non conference game but in the case of the Big 12 it was probably more out of necessity because there are only 10 conference teams and in order to play ten games it would mean playing one team more than once which of course should be avoided. On a side note it would behoove the Big 12 to add two new teams in the future which would better align them with the other Power 5 conferences. The SEC , ACC and Big Ten all have 14 teams. The Pac 12 has twelve. Anyone care to offer up two nominees?

Meanwhile UCONN became the first Division One team to bail on the season. Talk about bad timing. This was their first year as an Independent and their schedule was ravaged due to the Power 5 conference decisions to limit their schedules. But no surprise. Again the whole season is still up in the air.

Also shockingly Ohio State WR CJ Saunders was denied a 6th year eligibility bid. He would have been a back up WR and perhaps a starting punt returner. A shame. Would have been nice to see Ohio State play a White WR.

[Late edit] The Big Ten are charging right out of the gate with games starting Labor Day weekend. Other conferences are starting at later dates. Below is an article that fleshes out what all the conferences have planned schedule wise and more stuff about BYU etc.

Colorado State cancels their football season due to a dreaded case of racism. This happened despite them being obsessed essed with recruiting out of state affletes.

I felt all along some non Power 5 conferences would succumb. Expect more. The Power 5 teams have more money and more resources to pull it off. Doesn't mean they are immune to defaulting either but they have a better chance of succeeding.

On the FCS front the Big Sky ( which includes Idaho State and WR Tanner Conner) went belly up and are now focusing on spring football. They join the Ivy, Patriot and several other FCS conferences calling off fall ball. There will be no FCS championship this year since so many contending conferences have bailed out.

On a brighter note BYU replaced their opener with Navy. It will be at Navy ( to replace their Notre Dame game) and it will be a prime time game on Labor Day 8:00 EST on ESPN. A nifty match up and Navy said they aren't worried about BYU knowing they have the resources to (hopefully) keep things in check. They are pretty straight and narrow over there at BYU so don't expect big COVID spreading drunken frat parties . Ha.

From what I read it's "suspended" until the review process is over, this might mean they are forfeiting the season, but since the season looks like it will be delayed by a month for most FBS programs this could amount to nothing in terms of scheduling.

I do think CSU will have a few heads roll over this and the program may resemble the San Francisco diversity and inclusive behaviour modification training program after the dust settles though...

Clown World 2020 honk honk.

CSU and CU are already as Liberal (communist) as they come.

MAC canceling is very frustrating. Just cancel all sports unless they're going to allow them to go full force. I'm sick and tired of all this half assed going back and forth.

The MAC delaying/cancelling the season is a strange one as I heard their commissioner on the local Buffalo station last month and they were talking about no delays in the season at that point and the viral outbreak numbers were down in upstate NY and rural Penn., I have no clue about Michigan and their viral outbreak at the moment.

That really stinks to hear the MAC is not going to be playing - I usually enjoy the MAC games. Have to agree with @Shadowlight - the Power 5 conferences are the best bet to survive and have a season in some fashion.

And since the P5 money was taken off the board the White progs were probably salivating at the chance to passively-aggressively cancel out the sports. Conservatives always failing to notice the intra-Left Democratic party infighting, preferring to navel gaze about "muh principles" and other vanities.

I really feel bad for poor BYU the least likely team to spread COVID yet everybody is avoiding them. On the heels of the big news that they will open the season with Navy with the MAC shutting down it erases their scheduled game against Northern Illinois. So instead of seven games in the can they are back to six. One step forward one step back. The mad scramble continues. That said with their big contract with ESPN BYU is definitely a big name in college football. Not that they weren't before but to sign an exclusive ESPN contract really amplifies how big they are these days.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Rutgers transfer QB Noah Vedral starts in their September 5th home opener against his former team Nebraska? Word is Vedral has a chance to win the starting QB spot. I sure hope so. He has two years left in eligibility. Exciting dual threat QB.

Speaking of ex Nebraska quarterbacks athletic Andrew Bunch has one year left as a graduate transfer and he landed at Southeast Missouri State, an FCS school that plays in the Ohio Valley conference. As far as I know they haven't cancelled their season at least not yet anyway.

This link takes you to a Milwaukee Journal story about cancelling the Big Ten season for a spring season, but it's probably a bit early since it is time stamped at just after midnight so it is probably just rumor and the scummy progs just trial ballooning.

I was sitting on an uneasy fence regarding the season. No longer. I sense that all of CF will be called off. Spring ball is a maybe but too early to speculate on that and we don't know if the NFL will oblige them by shifting draft stuff around etc..

A new complication has arisen and I think it will be the straw that broke the camel's back. I hope I am mistaken because it would be disappointing not to have college football this year.

As bad as I would feel I am not going to complain about it since I think some of the concerns are legitimate.

However the NFL has no such excuses. If they set the protocols and precautions in place and the players show military discipline there is no reason on earth why the NFL should not play. They should play on time too. The key will be if players like whiny babies like OJ Beckham can stay on course instead of venturing out to some tranny club or whatever the hell a weirdo like Beckham does in his spare time.

The NBA and the NHL look to be cruising along swimmingly and I don't anticipate problems as they finish off their truncated seasons.

Please don't buy this idea that those two sports are working out because they are in a non travel bubble. Too many people are pointing to the very spotty start of MLB and that the NFL will also travel like them so expect similar problems. Poppycock.

The English Premier League is the template for the NFL. They traveled throughout COVID ravaged England and finished the season with ease. As for baseball seriously did anyone think they would get it right?

First off MLB had no plan other than owners saw this as a golden opportunity to royally screw over the players. By the time they finally decided to proceed late in the day they had a sloppy roll out as players from the Marlins etc. were hitting strip clubs etc.. I think they can muddle towards the end of the season but it makes one wonder when the Cardinals last game was sometime in 2018. Ha.

And of course leave it to baseball to destroy things. Unlike other sports who proceeded without rule changes MLB saw fit to restructure their game. It is beyond ironic that given their itsy bitsy mini golf season that they think it is wise to play only 7 inning games for doubleheaders? Makes absolutely no sense. The season has already been shrunken down like that guy in the original "The Fly" movie so why shrink it down a little more on a safe COVID free field no less. Then of course they put in new stipulations for relief pitchers and have extra inning games decided in little league style. God almighty just when you thought baseball has gone off the rails they manage to up the ante.

Basketball didn't change their rules like turning three point shots into four pointers.

Mike Trout was skittish about playing but once he was reassured his teammates were going to play it straight and narrow he decided to play.

Lesson here is if the mainly black players in the NFL follow the strict protocols the NFL will play. Will they be able to make the necessary sacrifices and stay disciplined enough to follow through? That is the million dollar question? But I find it hard to believe the NFL won't play.

The Mountain West is the next domino to fall. Key teams include Air Force and Wyoming.

Also Old Dominion of Conference USA has packed up their bags. They are the first team in a conference to go rogue.

This is starting to resemble that movie "Night Of The Living Dead" where in the end no one was left standing.

LOL. So all that's left is SEC? Looking like I'll have to boycott CFB as well.

Lol yea SEC is the one conference I almost completely avoid. A few interesting QBs and Mike Leach at Miss St. are the only things that may make me tune in. ACC seems to still want to play as well.
