In France we speak french so english is not our mother tongue so maybe you should calm down and understand that Rcsman used a wrong word to describe the same thing as you....
We all agree Lemaitre did not improve, and I admit he has regressed, but elitespeeder that talks about mediocrity, it's a shame. 10'13 and 20'08 is far from mediocrity, and we should have respect for all athlets whatever their levels, especially when we haven't acomplished anything.
I'm pretty sure none of us is able to run a 100m under 11sec btw
For Christophe, what can we say ? He and his coach know perfectly that he is not as fast as before, they tried but he did not work.
Will he change coach ? Will it be better considering Christophe seems to be very atatched to Carraz? I don't know.
I understand we are all sad to not see him doing like before but it's probably way harder to accept for him
Let s cross fingers that next year will his.
Wow! the stubbornness of some of you is mind boggling...what is so difficult to understand? He has regressed 3+years! In the 60, in the 100 and his supposed strength, the 200....common sense states when something is not working you must change in order to make some progress or at least try a new approach 360...my god what ignorance!
We all agree Lemaitre did not improve, and I admit he has regressed
You even quoted me...anyway, don't want to start a fight with you....
Carraz has assistants to help him, he does'nt train Lemaitre alone.
What if,
What if the true, the sad true, but what if the prime of Christophe was 3 years ago, and that he just regressed naturally, whatever training, powerlifting he does...
We have a lot of examples that illustrate this phenomenom, that strange thing that made some guys peak at a very early age and then they struggle to be as good as when they were young.
The best example is obviously Shirvo, that was 10'03 at 19 and then...
I obviously hope am wrong and next year Christophe will be a sub-10 guy again
I hope Im wrong too!
Don't compare Shirvo to Lemiatre, Shirvo was a straight power short distance guy, he did not have that natural top end speed like Lemaitre. Shirvo was also very strong, doing Squats with over 400 pounds at a bodyweight of 175. Also, Lemaitre ran sub 10 more than once and sub 20 more than once...he should not have regressed this quickly
"he should not have regressed this quickly" :faint2:
you are a clown
