He wants to change the way he is training....

He says the same thing every year whenever he feel like he is not living up to what is expected...he needs not new training! He needs new trainers and to leave that comfort zone in France. He will never live up to his potential which -some of you may disagree here- is to be the European record holder in the 100 and 200.

Thanks, bro. Try giving your opinion without being so disrespectful.

YOU are disrespectful with Pierre Carraz and Christophe, not me.

Try giving your opinion with ARGUMENT and not with stupid Christophe-bashing and Carraz-bashing

Very good race for Christophe with rain, very cool temperature (13°c), headwind (-1.6)

20.15 = around 19.90-19.95 BASIC TIME with normal condition

AMAZING GEMILI !!! 19.98 = around 19.75-19.80 BASIC TIME with normal condition

Yes im OK with RCSMAN.

Although the conditions in weather were not so bad in my opinion.
Lemaitre around 20.00 basic time in normal conditions and Gemili 19.8 basic low in good conditions.

Lemaitre NEVER ran so fast in european championship, he won in 2010 in 20.3 , with very horrible bend.
In european championship you dont have rest days between 100 and 200m, advantage for Gemili, while in WC you have 2 rest days between 100 and 200 (when Lemaitre got 19.80)

Lemaitre is in very good level, he ran against 2 great runners like Dasaolu and Gemili.
I liked the performances for Lemaitre but yes, he should change something in his training soon for to improve, because in these last years his progression is few.

Regards

Christophe ran 8 races in 6 days, and he won 3 medals, (2 silver and 1 bronze)

it's not an AMAZING performance but it's very good !

Excuses Excuses...you prefer mediocracy as long as Lemaitre sticks with his amateur coach and amateur club. You don't care Lemaitre's success. Do you really think Christophe is happy with his 2 silver and 1 bronze? You are pathetic! and very ignorant!

Pathetic ignorant! its called justified criticism!. Lemaitre himself is not happy the last 3 years of his performance, and dont think otherwise. But its Lemaitre's fault for wanting to stay with a Amateur coach and Amateur club in his comfort zone. He needs to grow some balls and show Carraz the door and look for another option. This is basic common sense. But with your ignorant stubborn way of thought, you dont understand what I am saying!

amateur coach, amateur club ? you are an IGNORANT !!

my english is too bad to explain completely my opinion but there are a lot of great coach in France and Pierre Carraz is one of the best.

French team won 23 medals in this european championship and every french athlete has a french coach

Pierre Carraz is a trainer for 40 YEARS !!!
Club of AIX LES BAINS is one of the best in France (classified 3rd)

here is who is Pierre Carraz :

extract :

he is a great person, he deserves respect and not your stupid sarcasm

If Christophe had a bad trainer and bad training, he would not run 10.1 (with bad conditions) or 20.1 (with bad conditions), he would run 10.4 and 20.7.

It's very difficult to reach elite level but it's very easy to decline a lot.

Some people in this forum forget that being a fan means being positive. Caraz is a coach for a reason. He is a professional. No one in this forum gets paid to train athletes and despite what they think, they could not successfully train Christophe nor do they know how. Caraz knows how. You aren't smarter than Caraz when it comes to track and sprinting and don't know how to resolve Christophe's current plateau. No one cares what you think Christophe needs to change. You dont get paid for your opinion about training athletes like Caraz does. You really don't know any of the details of Christophe's training life and you are speculating quite a lot. Youre so-called track knowledge is worth nothing in the real world. Caraz's knowledge is worth money. To think that you know better than him shows your arrogance and just how naive you are. This was never intended to be a Christophe bashing thread. But you have turned it into that and you annoy people with your childish banter.

if you know the sprints then no diet ,training ,coach change will get lemaitre where want him to be.

time to dope properly , or if want code for doping "to change coach " .

he could be a force at rio , and only one way to win at olympics in sprints.
by forementioned means , that is the reality wake up.#

what good is nearly breaking 10 or 20.00 for rest of career.
and seems to be slowly burning out .
only one way back . very simple

You proved my previous post 100%!

Your FEAR is that Lemaitre leaves France, Leaves Carraz, trains in EVIL AMERICA and makes progress! You are so Ignorant, Stubborn and a FOOL!

If Christophe had a GOOD trainer and GOOD training, he would not run 10.1 (with bad conditions) or 20.1 (with bad conditions), he would run 9.95 and 19.90.

PS: I Never questioned Carraz as a person. He is a good man but he just a Amateur Coach and thats it!
*Aix le beins would get smoked by the average American High School track team
*23 Medals in European Championships is nothing compared to World Championships

PLUS, I NEVER MADE THIS A USA VS FRANCE POST! YOU DID!

what a disgusting video ,
get as many non europeans into clip as possible.........

although an okay european champs , still far from european origin
not much to ask and far from the odd athlete here and there ,that could tolerate.
and very disappointed to see athletes even though many mediocre and female
coming through german ,italian and spanish systems now.
even poland are at it .but forgive them as if not for countries like them
european champs would be unwatchable
uber sellouts .

lemaitre relay medal does not count ,did you look at rest of team by any chance.

Sprinting at the end of day comes down to physiology .......

( after diet ,training ,geography ,technique etc with all top athletes maximising )

AND you want him to train like other athletes when it is obvious that it could
really destroy him , he lacks obvious strength and recovery which is simply
how he is built naturally ,his hormones ,physiology etc .

but you expect him to train like others when it is obvious , he needs a very specific trainingregime
that accomodates more recovery and less focus on strength

why he will stay where he is ....................
unless he gets on board and finds that strength by other means .

AND why not bring america to him ...............................................

as in the only way is if get in the obvious few guys in america
that could sourse him the PEDS nessary to get the job done .
doesnt have to leave anywhere
and leaving as already said will only make him worse .
not suddenly going to find this strength somewhere else.

want lemaitre the number 1 , not mediocraty and this the only way
only one other sprinter with longer stride and if he could find the strength
would be sub 9.80 and 19.50 .
BUT YOU WANT mediocraty , play the came and dope if can get away with it .

that beautiful top end speed that saw in morroco seems to be not quite there either .
was pure poetry in motion !

Caraz who was a hero 3 years ago is now the worst trainer on earth :)

Christophe does not need to go to the Usa, he won't improve there, none of the french athlets that went there did better performance than when they were trained by a french coach. Not the same mentality at all....

He reached a plateau and is not as good as 2011, it's obvious, doesn't mean he is over.

For the Zeldagiss guy that talk about mediocrity, what are your accomplishments in track and field ? We all want to know your level and your skills...

the answer is so simple

It’s not a nationalistic, France vs America issue.

It’s a training issue. He could get the training in France.Vicaut has. Lemaitre has lost 3 of his prime years by not doing enough power training. He looks weak compared to his competitors, he has a poor start and his timeshave regressed.

I don’t care if he does it in France, America or Timbuktu,he needs plyometrics and weights. HE NEEDS MORE POWER!!

This power is attainable though training. He either does it,or his regression continues, and the excuses continue.

It’s not a nationalistic, France vs America issue.

French mentality and American mentality are very very different

American mentality = body-bulding with highly intensive training
French mentality = body-bulding with moderate intensity

Like Pierre Carraz, Jacques Piacenta french trainer of Marie José Perec and Christine Arron didn't like body-bulding intensive training

Perec = 10.96(100M), 21.99 (200M), 48.25 (400M), 53.21(400MS)
Arron = 10.73(100M), 22.26(200M)

If body-bulding = speed, then aikinnes would be world record holder but he's not !

From now on, Christophe is more developed the muscle than 2011, and he's not faster

Christophe's problem is not about body-bulding, it's a problem of feelings with his new body
