That’s great news! Hopefully the tides are turning and white men will start appreciating their own.So I was talking to this guy from Ireland who knows nothing about American football and he said the only NFL player he's heard of is Christian McCaffrey. That's something, I guess.
This is great news. Much like Mike Trout in MLB, CMC’s injuries have robbed us of seeing sustained greatness on par with the best to ever do it.By all accounts C-Mac is fully healthy and ready to make up for lost time:
49ers FB Kyle Juszczyk said Christian McCaffrey looks healthy and “so explosive” ahead of training camp. The buzz continues to build around McCaffrey, who battled through bilateral Achilles tendinitis last season and was limited to just four games after suffering a PCL sprain in Week 13. McCaffrey, 29, totaled just 348 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown last season, but totaled 2,023 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2023. Assuming he stays healthy this season, McCaffrey has the chance to be poised for another big season. The veteran running back has averaged 22.1 PPR points per game in 31 games with the 49ers since being traded to them midway through the 2022 season. He’s still a three-down threat who possesses elite pass-catching upside, and could see a workload similar to 2023, when he led the league with 339 touches. As McCaffrey’s ADP continues to creep higher into the first round, it sounds like there is little reason to fade him at this point in time.
Fair. I’m not sure who’s the backup, but they won’t overuse CMC. He’ll get a lot of red zone use, though. I think your numbers are spot on.Ok men, the season is nigh upon us. Predictions for CMC this season:
230 rushes for 1215 yards and 12 TD; 60 receptions for 580 yards and 3 TD.
What do you guys have?
Ugh…Uh-oh, please let it be something precautionary:

This is the same issue that we see in sprinting and the problem is the numbers. There are only a handful of white running backs in the NFL compared to probably well over 100 black ones. The injury rate might be the same but when we are putting our stock into only 5 or 6 guys, it’s just a gamble whether they stay healthy or not. If there were say 50 white running backs in the NFL we would almost certainly see ones that emerge as stars and prove to be very durable. It’s all in the numbers.
Maybe, but as a ratio I would be curious if our guys get hurt more. It sure seems that way. Put it this way: while there may be one hundred black backs, 50 of them are not getting hurt nor are all 100.So true when there are only a few great white hopes. We need more of our men to get onto the active playing rosters of teams. If we ever saw the numbers alot better then we would see so many pro bowl type players!

I was looking at the Clemson injury report and all three players injured in the first game last week are black and unable to play this week. I don't know the answer as to why it seems white players get injured more, but when I see this, I'm not sure that it's race related. We just seem to be having a run of injuries lately and it especially hurts when it's the skill positions as we don't have as many to lose. And yes, I know black players get hurt but Marshall Faulk and LaDainian Tomlinson were the same size and incredibly durable.
