Christian McCaffrey

We can't complain too much guys. When is the last time a white running back won the NFL Rushing Title? Epic Accomplishment
and it was never really close since the 2nd half of the season. What an honor to win the title by alot and miss the last game so he
can be healthy for the playoff run. This is history guys for this message board and the sports world. Now we do all know that the
main reason it hasn't happened in many decades is because 99 percent of white running backs never get to play in the nfl due to
anti white racism and stereotypes all built on the lies of the Caste System!
Do you know of any good posts or articles that explain how running backs are looked over?

I read a post (and now can’t find it) that explained the specifics of how Whites are overlooked in recruiting and the Draft. Are you familiar with what thread that was? I’m new and have looked through many, but would like to share that one or something similar.

I’ll be rooting for CM.

Well it is time for projected statistics for McCaffrey for the 2024 season.

I am going to say: 255 for 1230 and 10 TD; 65 rec for 610 and 4 TD. Down a bit from last year but still elite numbers. I think the other running backs on the roster will get more rushes and hopefully this also mean Juice.

For what it’s worth, draftkings.com has him with some great projected stats.

HMMMM is losing $200,000 worth getting a renegotiated contract that will pay him on level or higher than Samuel or Kittle?

He is well paid for a running back, but it’s a travesty that Deebo makes so much more than him.

So much for WHITE privilege! I don't keep up with a great deal of NFL RB contracts, but I wonder how he stacks up with the rest of the leagues RB's? Anyone?

This was last year. He is on top, but he is clearly the most valuable.

NFL's highest paid running backs in 2023 (average salary per year):

  • 1. 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey: $16 million
  • 2. Saints RB Alvin Kamara: $15 million
  • 3. Titans RB Derrick Henry: $12.5 million
  • 4. Browns RB Nick Chubb: $12.2 million
  • 5. Packers RB Aaron Jones: $11.5 million
  • 6. Giants RB Saquon Barkley $10.1 million
  • 6. Cowboys RB Tony Pollard: $10.1 million
  • 6. Raiders RB Josh Jacobs: $10.1 million
  • 9. Cardinals RB James: $7 million
  • 10. Panthers RB Miles Sanders: $6.4 million

RBs in general are paid less than equivalent WRs, but who in their right mind would pay Tyler Lockett, Diontae Johnson, and Christian Kirk more than Christian McCaffrey?

He is the highest paid running back in the league. Has been for a few years.

Not a wise move missing OTA’s.

Great news for him!

I’m a tad disappointed they have done nothing to fix their offensive line. They lost the Super Bowl due to it. Plenty of really good white linemen in free agency and the draft they could have used.

McCaffrey once again leads the way in Maurice Jones Drew’s annual running back rankings on NFL.com. Drew has always been very complementary to CMC.

Something to watch: CMC officially listed with an Achilles injury (what has kept him out of practice the past month).

This is a foreboding sign.

There are rumors now that CMC's injury is worse than reported, and it may be several games before he is ready to play again.

49ers considering IR which means he will miss, at minimum, 6 games this season.

I’m not one for curses, but being the Madden cover athlete does him no favors.

Further info on McCaffrey's status ....

If he does go on IR tomorrow, he will miss five total games and play 12. He could, potentially still hit 1,000 yards rushing.

Him reaching 1000 yards three more times in his career are crucial to his chances of being elected to the Hall of Fame.

This is about the worst news any of us could conceive of this year.

If you watch the video, they say that his injury regressed, and is more painful now, than it has been in the past 2 weeks.

CMC officially put on IR. This is a nightmare for his HOF candidacy as he will not reach 1000 yards rushing this season.

Oh this is the worst case scenario... He won't likely start strong either with Mason eating away at his carries. And Schrader is elsewhere and not taking advantage of this, either

It stinks that they did not keep Schrader around in San Fran especially if they were aware of McCaffery's issues.

If this is a real picture, CMAC injury could be more serious than the 49ers are letting on.
