So nfl.com has a mock first round draft listed and they have the Jets taking DeShone Kizer at number 6. So out of curiosity I looked at some other mock drafts and they also had the Jets taking Kizer.
Let me just say that I find it quite admirable that the NFL.com and SBNation are equal opportunity when it comes to employing mentally disabled whites. It's nice to see that the NFL in particular doesn't just limit itself to employing mentally disabled blacks.
This is a case of caste group think. One group of experts rather than challenge the status quo on an afflete just gets on the bandwagon. The disagreements between all these so called "experts" are minimal. All of their rankings are fairly similar, no one wants to be wrong so if they all put the same rankings/projections out there and they are all wrong it is ignored because all the "experts" missed on a prospect - that is how it is viewed and the cycle continues. No one dare ask why they were wrong.
Kizer has bust written all over him. Anyone with any sense can see this from a mile away. None of Brian Kelly's quarterbacks have done anything in the NFL. Kizer was a part time starter and benched during the season - put up numbers against bad teams and completion % dropped in his second year starting. He is Josh Freeman 2.0 from his ugly mug to his playing style. Trubisky by comparison was all world in his one year as a starter - the draft media keeps hammering the fact that he only started for one year but they do not mention he played in his two previous seasons as well so it's not like he only saw the field this past season. If Shanahan takes the San Fran job I would love to see them take Trubisky - I actually like Shanahan - remember he along with his father in Washington wanted Kirk Cousins as insurance to the gremlin.
