Wilshere didn't help his own cause the way he played when he came on. He was responsible for what must be one of the worst passes in the history of the World Cup. Rooney, in an otherwise decent match, had the worst corner kick ever. His pass on the England goal though - with his left foot - was inch perfect.

I watched the match with someone (a Brit) who doesn't normally watch football. At one point when England seemed to be going backwards he said "c'mon, pass it to the darkies" because to him they seemed to be making things happen when they got the ball. It wouldn't surprise me if Hodgson saw it the same way.

As for Italy, as The Philosopher mentions, it was a beautiful cross that had to be perfect. Besides that header Balotelli was invisible other than his offsides. (Immobile, who replaced him, was unnecessarily offside at least once as well). Of course, Balotelli is a striker so if he only touches it once and scores he's done his job but the media coverage has been completely over the top just like two years ago when he scored against Germany.

Lol, the black Swiss CB (who the announcers were surprised started the game) just gave up a very easy goal to Ecuador.

Very pleasantly surprised by the Swiss team. Only two non-whites (and one is a Turk, not a Negro). I certainly understand the sentiment that the team is comprised of immigrants, but they are white immigrants at least! Given that we have almost all-black teams in Honduras and Ecuador and the racist team from France, Switzerland is the easy choice in this group.

switzerland and france are antiwhite
ecuador and honduras are not white because their countries are not white
so i don't really care about this group
we lose no matter what happens in this group
this world cup is so black
the only thing that matters to me is benzema's world cup: i hope that he won't score, but against honduras it would be a miracle if he managed to remain without a goal

in premier league they love their pacey wingers and fullbacks
let them have fun while the other teams win the competitions

Dear,dear,Albanians are not whites,they're 'shiptars'.
They're as bad as ******z.

They were/are desperate to leave their own nation, they hate their own kind that much.
Imagine how miserable they must be.

Apparently only 8 of the 23 man Swiss squad were born in Switzerland. That is appalling.

Both Switzerland and Ecuador s**k. So does Honduras. France has one of the easiest groups I can ever remember seeing. And the group winner is likely to play Nigeria, Bosnia, or Iran; not exactly world beaters.

It's absolutely horrible. I couldn't believe that when I heard that stat.

Also, on the subject of Albanians, they may be Muslim and not culturally white, but they are racially white. When people watch Switzerland, they see a nearly all "white Swiss" team out there.

When DWFs see Xhaka score, they see a white guy scoring. When they see Sturridge score, they see a black guy scoring. I'd say having 3-4 Albanians on the team is better than 3-4 black guys, even if Albanians aren't preferred.

Every World Cup, you get to appreciate the whites of South America, which aren't even on the team, but in the stands. In countries where they are outnumbered badly, somehow white people are able to be rich enough to travel to another country to watch a sporting event, must be that white privilege I keep hearing about...

It only takes a Serbian to understand the pain, when someone says that 'Albanians are just white muslims'.
White muslims are Bosnians and the ilk and are barely tolerable.

The albanians are shiptars, and are completely different racially.....they destroy everything they touch, just as bad as blacks.

Hell, I even saw some white fans with Ivory Coast banners last night against Japan. I agree, it must be that white privilage...

I've noticed too that a (seemingly) good majority of the children in front of the players during the anthems have been white kids as well.

I was just wondering if all those white people wearing Ecuadorian shirts are actually from Ecuador. Some might be locals. I don't think it would be a big deal for a Brazilian to wear an Ecuador jersey. An Argentinian shirt OTOH...

As for Pogba. I heard some analyst the other day picking Pogba as the "break out player" of the tournament. That is, the player who will jump in stature to world star due to a great World Cup. I've never seen him do anything for Juventus.

lol, ecuador's black goalkeeper didn't try to get the ball on the corner kick switzerland scored from
what was he waiting for?
the ball in a zone in which the goal keeper HAS to take the ball
what a contrast with sirigiu, italy's goalkeeper, that we saw yesterday

white brazilians are usually pretty poor, rural people
brazil has only one traditional white brazilian (from the southern states), henrique buss, and he doesn't even play

Most matches have been rather entertaining and defensively minded teams seem to be having a hard time…the refereeing is not up to the required standard, but it’s no worse than the 2010 World Cup that saw many controversial decisions. At least the new spray that is used by the officials seems to be working its magic. Teams from the Americas have been dominant so far (in accordance with the initial predictions) and the biggest upset from my standpoint is the Netherlands’ rout against Spain (I really thought that they would struggle without Mathijsen, Strootman, Van Bommel and Stekelenburg).

I think that the group that contains France and Switzerland is the most balanced and it’s a toss-up which teams will be able to advance to the 1/8 finals. I have watched a number of friendlies and Ecuador are in my opinion more dangerous (mainly due to their attacking potential) than Honduras.

Btw, one player that has impressed me a lot is white Costa Rican Christian Bolaños – excellent positional awareness and very skillful in providing assist. He may join a top European team after the tournament. I am sure that Uruguay and Spain will bounce back, it’s simply too early to count them out…

Interesting thread about Neymar…I always thought that he looked “Amazonian” (indigenous Brazilian), but it seems as if he is actually triracial and could pass for an atypical black African (I think Malagasy people show such phenotypes) as a kid.

Apoogies for the small font, for some reason
I cannot make use of the "select all/select a single sentence" option.

you thougt that the gypsies were trying very hard to find gypsy origin in players who had none, but had an exotic look, but let me introduce you to the algerian people: the algerian media said in 2010 that algeria's coach tried to convince neymar to play with algeria internationally instead of brazil
they said neymar was born to an algerian father and a brazilian mother :faint2: lol
they tried to get him the algerian nationality
so yes, neymar has a strange look lol

every time he played for france he was either average or bad
yet all around the world the dumb fans talked about how magnificient he was
in the latest friendly match he played the coach publicly said that he was too co*cky and casual, and called him out about the way he played
he's the most arrogant player EVER
