I wouldn't go that far, I think you're once again radiating too much negativity and pessimism. There are plenty of White athletes to root for, Americans included, in many sports over the next 2 weeks. Let's try to be a little positive here instead of always looking for the worst in everything. Admittedly, I'm sometimes guilty of that, too.

They took Jim Thorpe's medals away because he played some pro baseball. Why haven't they reinstated them and apologized to his descendents? Don King's America is no country to cheer for.

My experiences with swimming and gymastics must be different from some others, in that I never saw any black kids in either sport. I refuse to believe that, with all the incredible numbers of dedicated and talented white youngsters in both sports, blacks just happened to beat them out for Olympic spots. To me, it's just more predictable Affirmative Action.

How does "affirmative action" work in timed events? Cullen Jones is the fastest 50 meter freestyle swimmer in US history. He holds the current record, won the 50 meter gold at the Olympic Trials, and won the silver in the 100. If you win and place at the trials, how exactly is it AA to put him on the relay? I don't follow.

Same with the chick on the female side. She came in 4th in the trials. 1 thru 4 were in the relay final. Why would/should they put slower women in the relay final. Again, I don't follow your logic.

Look at the women's 400m individual medley. The 16-year old Ye Shiwen broke the world record for the event by over a second. Now, take the time to digest the following. The previous record had been held by Australia's Stephanie Rice, who had achieved it with the aid of the then-ubiquitous full-length "high tech" polyurethane bodysuit of the type that were deemed to be performance enhancing and are now consequently banned. Yet this 16-year old manages to slash the mark by 1.02 seconds without a "non textile" swimsuit!

But things just get better. Not only did this drug-packed Chinese creature destroy the world record, she swam the final 50 metres of the freestyle leg faster than the men's 400m IM gold medallist Ryan Lochte! That's right - Ye did the final 50 metres in 28.93 seconds, while Lochte went 29.10.

Sure, Lochte wasn't under real pressure in that final 50 metres and didn't have to really crank it up but if we compare their final 100 metres, we are talking about a difference of only 0.03 seconds (Lochte: 58.65 / Ye: 58.68)!

Incidentally, another horrifically ugly bowl-cut coiffed Chinese "female" finished third. Ye Shiwen has already qualified fastest for the semi-finals of the 200m IM, so that shall be another gold medal for the chinks. :censored:

Then we had the Chinese Sun Yang winning the men's 400m freestyle - in an Olympic record of 3:40.14, just 0.07 short of the (bodysuit assisted) world record.

Oh, how remiss of me! I forgot that the Chinese are honest, honourable, and - above all - "extremely dedicated and hardworking"...

Those that follow T&F will remember that 20 years ago the Chinese women smashed all of the running records from 3000m to 10,000m. A couple still stand today including the 3000m which is still 15 seconds faster than the best non-Chinese. These athletes came and then disappeared amid some skepticism - but they are now virtually forgotten. The problem is there is no such doubt about Bolt. Although I doubt it will happen I hope Blake wins because at least he has been caught once.

After watching that video I feeling I was watching a combination of a muscle fetish "Schmo" video and a soft core gay porn ....... Guys you have to remember that these athletes are very young and haven't lived at all. Many swimmers retire at around the median age of your average 4 year college graduate. Tonight, she won the gold in the 100m backstroke, having just competed in the 200m free semifinals 10 minutes prior. It was an incredible accomplishment when you think about it. Just before that, they showed a short segment featuring her parents, who seem like decent, normal people, a White middle class family from Colorado. It was also reported that Franklin is an honor student and member of many clubs in her high school, including the Anglo club.

And finally, they showed a group of her friends/classmates back in Colorado cheering her on during her win. It was just about a 100% White audience (I see one darkish girl in the front there), as you can see from the picture:

Sure, Lochte may have been exposed as a wigger and race-traitor, but I feel like in this thread we're focusing way too much on tearing down every White American athlete. I'd like to urge everyone to focus on some positives here, lots of Whites who have sacrificed and worked hard for years to realize a dream, and perhaps we should give them our support. What Missy Franklin managed to do was really amazing. That was a very quick turnaround, she had a terrible start in the 100 back, and still nearly broke a 2009 (tech suit aided) world record. That was an epic finish. She just kicked everybody's ass in the final 15 meters. She seems to me like the kind of champion we hope for. Somebody has to compete with the roided up Chinese girls.

I have been critical of Lochte for being a wigger, but Franklin is a 17 year old child, while he's a 27 year old man who should know better. The second Lochte beat Phelps, the media was all over it, and I think it was because of his wigger ways. It was like they didn't have a real one to flip out over in swimming, so they fell for the next best thing. Now that he's been taken down a notch (twice by another white swimmer), I hope he gets back to winning medals. After all, this IS swimming. Like Lochte’s diamond “grill,†Phelps’ inner-city pool programs, Franklin’s love of rap music, Misty May-Treanor and Kerry Walsh-Jennings hyphenating the last names of their husbands, the white parents of black gymnast, John Orozco, the “diversity†of black/Chinese swimmer, Lia Neal, an opening ceremony featuring an endless cast of non-whites, mudsharks, interracial couples, etc. NBC’s chosen talking points aren’t the fault of the athletes.
