    Matthew Boling 9.98, 19.92, 44.84 and 8.25 LJ

Boling runs the 200m in an hour. I hope he performs a lot better there than he did in the 100m.

    2023 World Outdoor Season

Louie Hinchcliffe - an Asian, perhaps Filipino - from Great Britain, who competes for Washington State, ran 10.22 (1.6w) at Mt Sac Relays. Yuki Koike of Japan also ran 10.22 (0.6w).

    Matthew Boling 9.98, 19.92, 44.84 and 8.25 LJ

Boling runs 10.20 with 3.0 wind. A bit disappointing.

Augustus Remlinger of Clovis, CA is another very fast sprinter this season. He took 2nd at the Mt Sac Boys HS 100m. His best legal time is 10.38 from earlier this year.

Aria Pearce - who is in 8th grade - won the 200m, and came 2nd in the 100m at the Kansas Relays today. That's in the women's division. She was running against collegiate women.

    2023 World Outdoor Season

Austin Kresley of Iowa, 10.10 with 1.0w, today at the Tom Jones Invitational. That puts Kresley equal to Cole Beck all-time. At the same meet, but in a different race, Xie Zhenye, also 10.10 with 1.0 wind.

    2023 World Outdoor Season

True. Hunt and Dobson are both very injury prone, but they have world class potential - in my eyes. That's why they are on my list. I want to see what they can do. Anyway, let's get the season started already!!

    Matthew Boling 9.98, 19.92, 44.84 and 8.25 LJ

Boling will be running the 100m at the Mt Sac Relays this weekend. He will have some very serious competition with Michael Norman, Christian Coleman, Kyree King, Micah Williams, and others in the race. This is a good (and important) test for Boling. He'll need way better than the 10.25 he...

    2023 World Outdoor Season

For me, the short sprinters that I am most curious about this season are Boling, Steiner, Coby Hilton, Samuele Ceccarelli, Rohan Browning, Charles Dobson, and Amy Hunt. These are the sprinters that I think are most capable of achieving big results. And on the high school level, Mia...

    2023 World Outdoor Season

Henrik and Wagner have been around for awhile. They are very good sprinters, and might even get better. But I am most excited about Ceccarelli, because he is new and seemingly has the most potential to break through to the top-tier of sprinting. He's someone who maybe could go sub 10, and also...

    2023 World Outdoor Season

And I'm anxious to see what Samuele Ceccarelli does outdoors. He ran sub 6.50 twice at the world indoor championships. That should put him close to 10 flat or lower.

    2023 World Outdoor Season

Coby Hilton opened his outdoor season with a 10.11 at altitude in Colorado. Hoping for big things from him this season.

Good opening time for the season. Better than Boling's opener in fact.

    High Schoolers

Mia Brahe-Pedersen, now a junior, ran 11.17 with a legal 2.0 wind at the Arcadia Invitational today. That's a world class time. She also won the 200m in 23.01.

Another high schooler who ran 10.31 this season is Nathan Salz of Texas. So with Gaitlin Bair, Brody Buffington, and Nathan Salz, we have some serious speedsters this season.

Thanks for the update. I checked the meet results and there is no wind reading. Still that makes him one of the fastest HSers ever. Devin Quinn also ran a 10.31 in high school, with no wind indicated. So Brody is in good company.

    High Schoolers

Brennan McHenry is a name worth noting this season. He has the best long jump in the country - 24ft & 4½ inches. He also has a PB of 7ft in the high jump. So this kid can jump...

Iowa might have won that with a better hand-off between the 3rd runner and the anchor. It looks like the anchor started running too soon.

Is Boling a senior or junior? It would be great to see he and Buffington running on relays together.

He is listed. He is the 46th Fastest Performer so far this year.

    Matthew Boling 9.98, 19.92, 44.84 and 8.25 LJ

Boling ran on Georgia's 4x400m relay team at the Texas Relays. Georgia won with the 2nd fastest collegiate all-time! I heard that Boling's split was 44.6.

Oh, I see! Hmm, yes strange he didn't run the 100m at their U20 Championships. But pretty cool that he is already the senior 200m Champion!

According to my very unoffical record keeping, Bair's legal 10.25, is the 2nd fastest 100m ever by a white American high schooler. Boling is #1 with his 10.13 in 2019.

    2023 World Outdoor Season

He probably liked his chances better in the 200m, and wanted to focus on that. The winner of the 100m ran 10.14 and 9.92 in the semis. Van Der Walt has a pb of 10.19, so he might have medalled. Anyway, he's young and has time to go after the SA 100m crown!
