Gaitin Bair won the final of the Boys 100m Division II at the Texas Relays with a time of 10.25, and legal wind of 2.0.

Great race by Browning!! But it seems they never get any cooperation from the wind in those races Down Under. Can't wait for him to go sub 10.

19 year old Armand Van Der Walt won the 200m at the South African Championships with a time of 20.50.

In addition to Austin Kresley of Iowa running a windy 10.10 (3.1w) at the Texas Relays; teammate Kalen Walker ran 10.11 (3.2w). Both move on to the finals tomorrow.

A lot of races at the Texas Relays this weekend. Here are 19 heats of the 100m, featuring college athletes. These are not top level college sprinters, but still very good. A fair amount of white sprinters in these heats. Louie Hinchliffe, a freshman at Washington State ran 10.23.

Apparently this will be Gaitlin's first and last season as a trackster. He's a highly recruited wide receiver who doesn't plan to run track in college. Maybe that will change if he does really well this season. He's certainly off to a great start...

Aiden Lippert, a sophomore at Cal, opened his season with a very good PB of 46.38. We've been short of 400m runners since Jeremy Wariner.

I found both his times - 10.19 and 20.43 - on World Athletics 2023 outdoor lists, earlier today. Now they're gone. I guess the meet wasn't officially sanctioned, or didn't meet WA requirements. They've gotten very strict/weird about this recently.

What helped Boling here (and I thought it would), was that he was put in the slow heat. Because he was the fastest qualifier in the slowest heat, he got the best lane. I think this must be the same Brandon Miller that we talked about when he was a high schooler in Michigan. Then he ran for Grand Valley State. I guess he transferred to Kentucky. Not sure what to think about Boling. He is still running tight and his form is rough. Let's see how he does...
