Cinci released Chase Coffman..

I've seen several practice squad announcements and I want to know... is there a rule of "only 2 Whites per practice squad?"

Chase Reynolds was signed to the Rams practice squad. I was mildly surprised he made it down to the final cut as his stats didn't stand out. Once he did make it to the final cut his practice squad eligibility helped him out. Being the 4th tailback who can do a lot of things should help him make the active roster at some point in the season.

For what it's worth I counted 23-24 white, polynesian, and hispanic recivers on NFL rosters. I don't know if that's an increase or not howecer I know a few years ago their was Ed McCafferey, and that was about it. So for waht it's worth their has been an increase. Also their were no white running back fullbacks on rosters last year that were cut either. Don't know if that's an improvement either just throwing it out their. The biggest surprise to me is Armendola , and Salas making the Rams roster over 2 brothas. I expected both of them to get axed because of the melon deficiency. so I guess could we call that a very small win in the cast battle you guys tell me?

Amendola get axed? He was easily the best receiver on the Rams last season catching 85 balls.

My estimate of 18 white WRs was based strictly on looking at all the teams, and counting them in my head. I did miss Walters on San Diego, but didn't think I missed any others. I didn't count Salas, because I thought he was mixed.

Another heartwarming story is that Kerry Colbert made the Chiefs roster. An abysmal failure for several years, he returned to the NFL from a job as an assistant coach in college. It's almost as inspiring as Donte Stallworth making the Redskins roster. Way to bounce back from killing that guy while driving drunk, Donte! Yes, they are much more deserving of a spot in the league than Jeff Maehl or Kevin Jurovich.

I agree that this is still an improvement over the days of Ed McCaffrey and Ricky Proehl, but when there is so much awareness of college stars like Maehl, and they still don't even crack a roster, it feels disappointing. And then there is the fact that the competition is so bad- this league is full of horrendous WRs who have proven conclusively that they can't play the position (see Kerry Colbert and too many others).

Sometime tomorrow I'll post my list of teams and how many white starters everyone has. I'm guessing we will actually see a small gain, from last year due to a resurgence of white o-linemen. The white purge is of course disgusting, but I haven't seen anything too surprising. So far it looks like Camarillo, Payne, Sanzenbacker and Whalen all made their teams, with Maehl going to practice squad.

How many times big unreal is a more talented white player cut in ravor of keeping a less worthy black. So many thay I lost count. all it takes is for one brotha loving coach to clearly have an agenda then you have no chance of making that temas roster no matter how talented you are. This is why a site like this was started, and has many followers. One other point Mike Tomlin is the biggest CASTE WHORE in the history of the league, and i hope the Bleelers lose every damn game by 50 points or more. Their white fans are maybe the dumbest, and most ill informed about the caster system. It is really beyond belief how a white human could root for the Bleelers and their whitey hating coach and owner.

In a surprise move, the Patriots cut white linebackers Ricky Brown and Niko Koudouvides and kept linebacker Jeff Tarpinian (who played several seasons alongside Pat Angerer at Iowa). This move left them with four white defensive players on the roster, an alarming total for Belichick…

Hopefully he won't be cut or placed on the PS in the coming week...

Considine was cut from the Panthers and Nading was cut from Houston. At least Houston has Bulman, Barwin, Cushing, Braman and Reed on defense.

(TE) Collin Franklin was practice squaded by Tampa.
(DE) Mason Brodine was practice squaded by Oakland which was a surprise to me.

Arizona released (ILB) Quan Sturdivant from UNC, their 6th round pick (Drafted: 2011: 6th Rnd, 171st by ARI)

By my count there are 28 wr's on Nfl teams right now. Thats if you include Evan Moore, Greg Salas and Greg Camarillo into the mix.

A rundown of the WR white purge:

I did a very careful count of the 32 NFL teams and there are 25 white WRs on final rosters. This is if you count Max Komar and Kevin Curtis as injured reserve players who look to be in their team's plans and count Greg Salas as white (he is mostly white with some Amero-Indian blood). This is an increase of the original 18 white WRs at the onset of last season.

Jim Harbaugh realized it would cause a stir if he maintained any resemblance of Stanford "white friendliness". Harbaugh didn't want to cut "heart and souls" of the 49ers locker room (reminds me of Adrian Peterson of the Bears- and some Jets' players getting mad when Woodhead was originally kept instead of 38 year old FB Tony Richardson during last year's white purge). He did the status quo, as to not shake things up. He was afraid of his players, the media and DWFs labeling him as even close to that "Stanford white friendly guy". There goes the hope of him being another less white hating Belicheck, Spagnuolo, Caldwell or McCarthy. He is an AA company prostitute and coward who looks to be a caste extremist.

The most disappointing WR cuts to me were: Tyler Beiler (He didn't even get a real chance in pre-season), Beiler was signed to some teams practice squad though, speedy Lance Long (also in San Fran) Jeff Maehl (on the Texans' practice squad) Chad Hall (Eagle's practice squad) and Dan DePalma of the Jets who showed some signs of being another Julian Edelman/Marc Mariani as a return man. Brett Swain being cut was another disappointment, but not as much as the aforementioned.

Last year the most nauseating cuts were Matt Jones and the lack of opportunity for Jake Sharp.

Thanks for the head count, TJR. I had thought there were more than bigunreal's estimate of 18, so it's some more incremental progress at WR.

no, he's saying that him and Salas made the roster. (is he white btw?)

PS also, Giordano is back on the Raiders.

I know what he meant, Backrow. The reason I posted "Amendola get axed" is because I was surprised he thought Danny might get cut. His position was among the safest of all white receivers.

I was actually A LITTLE worried that Amendola might get cut. The Rams drafted 2 WRs ie. Pettis, Salas. Danario Alexander showed some downfield ability last year and I believe- despite being undrafted- he was the FBS' leading receiver. Mike Sims-Walker was also signed this year, and was a virtual lock to make the roster. Brandon Gibson had a big role last season (almost as big as Amendola). The Rams ended up cutting last year's 4th round pick Mardy Gilyard and they cut fairly recent 2nd round? pick Donnie Avery because they just had so many WRs with good resumes. Amendola was not above and beyond being cut in today's caste NFL.

Nice to see Avery cut. He was the first wide receiver taken in the draft in 2008. Would it now be safe to call him a huge bust? Nah, let's reserve that for the few Whites picked in the top rounds that underperformed.

Seriously, it is truly a great feeling to see Danny Amendola succeed and rise to the top after being ignored, cut and bounced around various practice squads. His ascension, coupled with the release of an over-hyped loser like Avery, is a rare moment in the caste NFL. I am certainly going to enjoy it.

Thanks for posting that list, Tough. I'm glad to see that the numbers are up a bit this season! :) We just need about 15-20 more overachievers to survive the cuts and we'll have at least one permanent Wes Welker type over-the-middle shot jockey on every team.

I did read that Greg Camarillo agreed to take a big pay cut to stay on the Vikings. While its certainly great news to see a few more extra white WR's, I'd like to see more in significant roles, getting serious playing time. I'm really glad that Logan Payne made the Jets. I still remember that awful play where he was injured against SF two years ago, when he had just become the starting slot receiver.

they must really like Payne to keep him, he's out for at least 6 weeks so PUP might be where he's headed. i'm happy, but it's very uncharacteristic for any NFL team to give a white player such a luxury, especially a fringe player (which i am hoping he won't be for long, given the chance)...
