Patriots release CB Darius Butler
"The Patriots filled Butler's spot later Tuesday, claiming former Dolphin A.J. Edds from waivers, a league source confirmed. Edds, who is considered a versatile linebacker, led the Dolphins with 18 tackles this preseason, while adding a sack. He also has experience as a snapper, an area the Patriots have had instability this preseason."

So the Rams thought he was good enough to be an understudy to three tailbacks on the roster but not good enough to play on Sundays. It's also not like they signed any name street free agent either.....:thumbdown:

The 53rd man on the roster used to be the perpetual bubble boy. But I think this guy is the new bubble boy as the 61st player on the roster(8th practice squad member).
