Deadlift
Hall of Famer
Rather than delving into Boyd's strengths/weaknesses, I'll simply give my view of the ACC...
This year, the ACC is even weaker than last year. Wake Forest has improved this year, but the Boston College offense still sucks just like last year. This is holding back the ACC. The MSM will also point to Miami's inconsistency, and, last night, they lost to Virginia.
At QB, I don't see any NFL prospects in the ACC. You have older guys like Jacory and EJ Manuel that would get killed in the NFL. You have other guys like Logan Thomas, of V-Tech, that are going to get Ws simply because of their running game, dinking-and-dunking, and the weak competition they face.
Georgia Tech is out of the Top 25 now, which also hurts the ACCs rep. Florida State will likely be put back into the Top 25 soon (the PTB can't keep the Florida schools out every week). I figure that Clemson will defeat Tevin Washington's GA TECH team this week to remain undefeated. It's this undefeated "storyline" that the media latches onto, especially with black quarterbacks.
--Last year, Stanford played their Bowl Game against V-Tech and won. This year, one of the best things we could hope for is a Stanford/Clemson Bowl matchup. Since the pollsters are showing Clemson favoritism by putting them above Stanford, this would be an intriguing matchup.--
