Actually I think Cunningham has been conducting himself more like a civilized white man than has the Irish Traveler Fury.

Fury is behaving as childishly as his countryman David Haye lately. He has no class. I don't like the way he's been bashing Wladimir Klitschko, after turning down K-2's offer of a world title shot.

Steve Cunningham seems like a good man. I hate to say it, but this is one time I wouldn't mind seeing the black guy win, because he seems like a man of better character than Fury.

Fury seemed to lose it when Cunningham started taliking about his tough ghetto background,he did this in his introduction too.So twice Cunningham spoke of how he comes from the streets.This is common amongst black fighters like Toney,Hopkins,Chisora,Mayweather and Tyson amongst others and its obviously designed to intimidate.I watched the press conference from a different angled video and there seemed to be an undercurrent of agression from the the majority black team.Curtis Stevens a trash talking black middleweight seemed to be eye balling Fury.Fury picked up on this passive aggresion,something not uncommon with groups of black males and lost it.

Fury is probably threatened by Cunningham which is a good thing.He acted the same way before the Chisora fight.Chisora was the pond life that assaulted Vitali at the weigh in.He seems to thrive off the addreneline and Cunningham is a very tough fight.Many had him as the winner over Adamek,he's also stopped Marco Huck amongst other solid fighters.

I don't think Cunningham will be a tough fight for Fury. Tyson is too big for Cunningham and that's why. Cunningham has no power and I had Adamek winning that fight by a round or two. The tough ghetto background nonsense is just plain stupid.

A couple points;

- Steve looks very ripped and in comparison Tyson does not looked ripped at all. But you know what? That doesn't matter. Being ripped like Steve really doesn't mean anything and doesn't give him any advantage. Vitali Klitschko, Kelly Pavlik, Joe Calzaghe, Floyd Mayweather, Nonito Donaire, are some of the best boxers of recent times and none of them were particularly ripped or muscular like Steve is. Actually, the ideal physique for boxing is a physique like Vitali Klitschko, which is lean and fit.

- From watching the weigh-in, the press conferences, and observing the network buildup to this fight, I strongly get the feeling that Main Events and NBC network is backing Cunningham to win and then try and push him as some sort of "American star". Cunningham is very much the hometown and home-country fighter here and to an extent that's understandable. Tyson Fury and his team should know, and probably do know, that anytime you fight on the road you're taking a risk. I also want to point out that Cunningham's team, Main Events, seem to have a friendly relationship with the NYSAC, the athletic commission in charge of putting on this event. In fairness, Steve has also had several fights in Europe throughout his career.

- Tyson Fury's trainer, Peter Fury, and members of his team have been denied entry into the US and will not be in his corner for the fight. I'm not sure why this has happened, it could be anything from not having proper documentation to a criminal record of some sort. I know that Tyson was training in Ottawa, Canada for this fight and apparently, at the Canadian-US border, his team members weren't permitted to cross it.

- All that said, I'm a huge Tyson Fury supporter, he's one of my favourite fighters and I'll be rooting for him this afternoon! It's gonna be tough, because Steve is solid boxer, is a lot more experienced than Tyson, and has a home-country advantage, but I think Tyson can pull it out if he's trained properly and fights with a good gameplan. I don't think the judges will do Tyson any favours, being the visiting fighter, so he needs to win rounds cleanly and possibly drop or stop Steve. Steve has been dropped in past fights so Tyson needs to try and connect and possibly drop Steve. Steve is good, but he does have 5 losses, and as such, he is certainly beatable. It's gonna be tough but I think Tyson can pull it out!

I was really impressed with Tyson in his last fight VS Kevin Johnson and I feel that experience will serve him very well in this fight. Its a perfect fight to have before this one. Tyson needs to be active, throw a lot of punches, hopefully connect to drop or stop Steve. Steve has 5 losses for a reason and he is absolutely beatable.

Let's go Tyson Fury!!!

I THINK it's on NBC free tv starting at 4PMET/1PM PT, which means one of 3 things probably - it's going to be on some obscure thing called NBC tv #11 or something - I don't know about all that crap because I don't watch tv - or if I turn on the tv where I'll be - I don't own a tv - I hate tv - at 5 minutes after it will already be over - or if I'm early and turn it on at 5 minutes before - then they'll make me watch 3 hours of 120 pound negroes dancing around with excited announcers screaming, as if I cared which one wins.

I guess that is because their fights have been going well and drawing big crowds on the sports channel. They figured to give this one more exposure! It is a top level heavyweight bout after all!

Here in Canada, unfortunately I am unable to watch the fight on TV so I will be using the stream that Carcharias provided! That's weird because the past few fights on NBC I was able to watch on TV at work or home, but this one isn't appearing on my cable.

Brutal knockout by Fury.He beat Cunningham up in them last 3 rounds and got the finish.In the first couple of rounds he fought as if he didnt have a single brain cell and got caught as a result but he showed genuine heart in front of a hostile USA chanting away crowd.

This is my problem with Fury, when he sticks to the boxing and stops with the showboating, he has great fundamentals. Good defence, great combinations, can dig in the trenches, great heart.


I loved his singing show after, a great show of white irish culture with confidence and charisma!

Tremendous performance from Tyson Fury, and that was a spectacular knockout win. Tyson is now the first person to ever knock out Steve Cunningham. Tyson went down hard in round 2 and for a few moments I was worried, but this Irish guy has unbelievable confidence, fighting spirit, and heart, he got up, stood his ground and won by amazing knockout in the 7th.

That knockout was superb. One of the more exciting, dramatic, and flamboyant heavyweight fights Ive seen in recent years. I absolutely loved Tyson's showboating in between rounds. Tyson's confidence is unbelievable. Tyson said at the press conference he would knock Steve "spark out" and that's exactly what he did. Steve is too small for heavyweight and should return to cruiserweight if he's gonna keep fighting. This was a bad knockout and he doesn't want to take too many like this.

I'm a huge Tyson Fury fan and tonight was just spectacular. Tyson talked the talk, but he also walked the walk! Nothing wrong with a man being confident and backing up his words. That's exactly what Tyson Fury did. What a champ.

Hughie Fury was impressive also with a first round tko, hughie has a good strong left jab and a big right hand. Hughie is only 18 and 6'7 and about 240

A clean-your-clock knockout. No TKO butterscotch stuff. I like what I see in this big talkative character. I'd prefer to see him win from a distance but this up close knockout will do enough to draw attention to him.

His skills are better than the naysayers would like to admit. He's no Wladimir but he's likely the next champ. Second only to his skills, his second-best asset is his ability to stay relaxed out there. Those types are really tough to beat. Only the very best will beat him right now (Wlad. and Vitali).

But either Klitschko would hanlde Fury at this point.

Fury has the size, stamina, jab and uses that size advantage well. However, he's a little too stiff at times and not fluid like the Klitschko brothers. I don't think Fury's ready for them just yet.

Good to great win by Fury. He needs to continue to refine his jab which is becoming excellent. And he needs to fight long and tall. In this fight he believed Cunningham could not hurt him. Then got dropped like sack of potatoes. Lesson learned. Any 200 lbs man can deliver a crushing shot. Great KO by Fury at the end tho.

A bit disappointed in Fury. He was fighting a cruiserweight and was knocked down. He will never be able to even win a round against either Klitschko and I think Pulev beats him as well. Two judges had Fury losing at the time of the stoppage. Not exactly great stuff for a cruiserweight to give a huge heavyweight problems when you talk all the nonsense about being the best heavyweight out there.

It wasn't a matter of popups blocking the vids, but I just couldn't get any of the fight vids at all, except as I said for a few seconds at the very end of the fight. I just kept getting sites that kept demanding that I download a phony malware they were calling Quicktime HD and other plug ins and add ons, and opening up new windows. Frustrating. I did get to see the Alvarez fight later later on yesterday and that stream was fairly good except for constant brief freezing up, but that was on another computer with a faster connection, in case that mattered.
