British heavyweight Tyson Fury is back on the attack, letting his anger out on promoter Frank Maloney and his heavyweight, BBBofC heavyweight champion John McDermott. Fury has only had seven pro fights, winning all seven by kncokout but McDermott is a veteran with a record of 25-5, 16KOs. The fight takes place on September 11 in Brentwood, Essex.

Fury told The Mirror that it's nothing personal with his opponent. He wants to put on an excellent performance to shut the mouth of Maloney.

"It's not personal between me and McDonut, but his promoter, Frank Maloney, certainly has a lot to answer for. Maloney has called me a rent-a-quote, which is amazing coming from him. Maloney was just a mouth in a Union Jack suit for all those years he was with Lennox Lewis. My pet dog could have done for Lewis what Maloney did, and he's blind with only one leg," Fury said.

"He does make me laugh but I can't take him seriously. He said Lennox would never be remembered as a great fighter and now he claims he was a great fighter."

Maloney says Fury is all bark and no bite.

"This kid is a good talker, but he is heading for a painful fall and when that happens he will realise the trouble that his big mouth has got him in. We still don't know if he can fight. Hopefully, when Big Bad John hits him on the chin we will find out. The best heavyweight I ever worked with was also the quietest - Lennox would never say the type of things that he is saying," Maloney said.

I have noticed that all of fury's opponents have been white? when will he fight a non-white?

Up and coming white fighters must first bash the brains out of other white fighers before they are allowed to fight a negro. The powers that be want whites to beat the sh*te out of each other (" pay their dues") so that by the time they do get a shot at a title or in the ring with a negro, they are half shot.

Ever notice that a negro contender gets a title shot early on in their carreer, whilst a white contender must fight for years before his chance.

Apparently, this was a very controversial win as most had McDermott (a white English fighter) winning. But Fury is now 8-0, is the English heavyweight champion and has a victory over a guy who beat Danny Williams twice recently (but got screwed on decisions).

So is the glass half empty or half full? I say half full but Tyson Fury is still a work in progress. Let's see how much he improves in a rematch with McDermott.

Well he was fighting a good but not great fighter in only his 8th professional fight. He is being moved quickly. We won't know anything until he fights a top level heavyweight.

Tyson Fury didn't do as badly as some are saying in that fight. I watched it yesterday, and thought he deserved a close decision win, something like 96-94. The 98-92 score by O'Connor was too wide.

The commentator Watt was favoring his fellow Scotsman McDermott, much the same way as Jewish-American boxing analysts like Bernstein and Atlas always favor the black fighter. I think he "sold" some people on the idea that McDermott should have won, but I saw he landed far fewer good punches and didn't do enough. McDermott was hurt twice by Fury in the last round and turned his back as if to quit both times.

Fury's lack of experience showed in the fight, but at age 21 he has tremendous potential.

You can download it here, and watch a good quality video in Windows Media Player:

I had the fight about a draw or Mcdermott shading the win. Fury needs a trainer who will train him to fight tall. He let Mcdermott crowd him and have a home on the inside. The problem is he needs to step back and fight lesser opponents to learn a Klitschko style but will now be fighting better class of fighter now that he is English Champion. I am still not sold on this Fury guy. Why does he enter the ring so out of shape. He is a white version of the burrito king Arreleroa, the guy Vitali is going to smack around in two weeks. Come on in shape and stop eating like a pig.

We've already got the Klitschko brothers, Povetkin, Chagaev and plenty of others, why should we even worry about this guy? Im just saying we've got alot of talent already out there...

It never hurts to have a very deep heavyweight division of white fighters. I will be happy when the top 20 heavyweights are all white.

I was hoping this guy would be the next Mike Tyson. I consider this last fight a setback even though he "won". Perhaps he is moving up too fast. He is very young so he can still be fighting long after the K brothers retire.Edited by: Amren.com

McDermott was robbed - and I don't think he is Scottish. He is from Essex - no trace of a Scottish accent when he speaks anyway. I'm not too upset as Fury is the better prospect longer term but there is going to be a British Boxing board inquiry into the fight scoring. There is talk of a rematch and fury had better be ready and get his tactics right next time.

Tyson has been added to the Dunne fight card tomorrow in Ireland. He fights Tomas Mrazek 4-22-5(3).

Lets hope at least some of it is muscle. He is slim for a heavyweight and could easily carry another 20 pounds.

Fury has good potential, but he won't go very far unless he keeps his weight down and stays in shape.

Fury was unimpressive today, and I didn't like the way he hit his opponent after he pushed him down.

The guy he fought had a record of 4-22-5 and been KOed 10 times, including several times in round 1 at cruiserweight.

Fury is definitely no Klitschko!

I am starting to lose faith in Fury. He may just be another Tye Fields. He won't be able to compete with the top heavyweights.

Tyson said he injured his right hand in the second round. That may be part of the reason he didn't score a stoppage.

Unless Fury totally commits to his profession ie. LOSE the baby fat and increase his stamina he will end up like Ty, getting blasted out by a second tier black fighter.
