Optimistically thinking, the move to Miami worked for Ward. He was considered a similar prospect as Beck last year. Like 4th or 5th QB pick off the board. If Beck can put up big numbers and lead Miami to a playoff spot, perhaps he can be QB1 in the 2026 draft.

Right, and or Cade Klubnik. Klubnik made huge strides this season. Looking forward to the Clemson/Miami matchup!

I'm surprised Beck picked a place so quickly. Hope it works out for him.
He's been banging one of the hot twins that plays women's basketball at Miami. I'm assuming/inferring that they have the same NIL agency and that he had a contract drawn up before putting his name in the transfer portal.

Because Beck had declared for the draft, it apparently isn't considered "tampering" by the letter of the law (whatever that's worth) because he was no longer a member of Georgia's team. He actually submitted his name to the official NCAA transfer portal with a "do not contact" designation. I'd never heard of that before; I suppose it was meant for players to use during exams (which they theoretically still take sometimes).

I saw an article that had Beck ranked as the Xth quarterback prospect this year, and last year, the Xth quarterback (Joe Milton) was drafted in the 5th round and signed for 4 yrs, $5.7 million. Beck's set to get $4 million for his one year at Miami.

As an aside: I have no idea what's included in these contracts. If Beck wants to spend his Sunday afternoon at the baseball card shop signing autographs for ten bucks a pop, is he then making $4 million plus ten? Is he just bound by his contract to do a set amount of appearances/ads/posts per year, and can rest assured that the bank will have $4 million in it at the end of the season? Can the NIL collective that's paying him sell his appearance fee to a company for $5 million if the offer is there and make a cool mill on the arrangement? I've never heard it discussed, so I don't think anybody knows.
