I don't know what Elway's problem is. The fact remains that if Tebow were black he would have never said that. He would have said something like," He's a very good player who has unlimited upside." Elway is a prick.

April, played only sparingly in goal-line or short-yardage situations
prior to McDaniels' firing Dec. 6.
Interim head coach Eric Studesville installed Tebow as his starter after Kyle Orton</span> sustained bruised ribs and endured two poor performances in a row.
Tebow went 1-2, rallying Denver from a 17-point halftime deficit to a
24-23 win over Houston and nearly pulling off a fourth-quarter comeback
against San Diego a week later in the season finale.
Elway said he was impressed with Tebow's play, especially considering
he had such a paltry number of practice snaps during the season and
threw just one pass until he supplanted Orton.
Tebow is the first NFL rookie quarterback since Minnesota's Fran
Tarkenton in 1961 to post four games with both a TD run and a TD pass.
"Tim Tebow is a darn good football player," Elway said at his
introductory news conference Wednesday. "What we have to make him is a
darn good quarterback and that is what we have to figure out.
"If there is anybody that is going to give himself a chance to be a

I'm not understanding why he says that Tebow isn't yet a "darn good QB," he's just a rookie, of course he's not going to put up Manning or Brady numbers. Still Tebow in the few games he started played outstanding by any standard not just for a rookie, even posted a 300 yard game.

I just don't understand why Elway doesn't shut the phuck up or at least drop the discussion altogether as this has been blown out of proportion. I want to see Tebow succeed and will follow him for sure next year. Sounds to me there may be some jealousy there to. Tebow is a nice looking Bronco stud that has all the females producing panty wads...and probably a few males too.
Off the Elway topic but there was an article in the paper about how Tebow was taking tons of cheap shots and his teammates had to pull guys off of him long after a tackle. It just said the extra cheap shots were "because of who he is" . It also mentioned how Chris Kuper has spent a ton of time talking to refs between plays about this stuff but still no flags thrown. Then it goes on about players yelling vile things to him and he would just respond with "god bless" and then a good play. Something about "there has always been trash talking and cheap shots in football, but defenders seem to take it up a notch against Tebow". Yeah no hatred towards strong white alpha males at all.....

They've found every way imaginable to attack despite his success in college and now early success in the pros. He is the most scrutinized and reviled player in NFL history already by the caste media and that is saying a lot considering how White Quarterbacks are increasingly put through the ringer in their formative years in the NFL. Now they even have his own boss joining in the fray. What a league. The contrast to how Whites are treated in comparison to the love fest that Black players who show even a minute amount of ability is really striking to anyone who is willing to pay attention. It begins the minute their stocks start to mature in college football. White players have to fight and grind their whole collegiate career for their status, while a Black player, particularly a black quarterback can be fallen in love with because of a few good games late in his career. Even if he is a project, he is rarely spoken of in negative terms. His glowing upside is the most important feature to drive home. The same White guy is openly said to be a project and they will drive home his negative qualities ad nauseum so you it can be plainly understood that he just isn't that good yet so you don't get any funny ideas BY GOD! Then when they do get a shot LOL! We all know how that goes. For White players it is take your damn lumps, don't dare open your mouth and basically get berated in the media until they have run you out of the league or you defy their odds and become so good they have to stop calling out your deficiencies. For Blacks, especially black quarterbacks, we know what the score is. Develop, develop and develop some more under a media induced blackout of your failures, combined with a program of actively accentuating your positives until the time you do succeed and become a superstar or you suck so bad that they can no longer hide your failure and are forced to admit your faults.

I watched "Everything in Between" today. Never really followed Tebow, but after watching that, I wish I had. With his college resume, what was the problem. The "concern" about his throwing style was bull. Tebow will be a pro qb not only that, the guys a winner. Screw Elway.

Tebow has been hated on by the MSM because he's an extremely athletic QB. Tebow was told he'd never succeed in the SEC and he'd have to change positions. 2 National Championships a Heisman trophy (should have been two, but they gave it to Bradford) and numerous collegiate and SEC records later the same BS was being said about Tebow as a pro. There's an awesome article about why the MSM wants Tebow to fail or never get a chance to succeed on this site but I can't find it right now, hopefully someone else will link to it.

Legit 4.4 speed, the size, elusive in the pocket like Rothlessberger, passes similar to Aaron Rodgers, incredible arm strength, the total package. If a team sits him for a season or two ala Aaron Rodgers and sharpens his ability into a precise package? There will be no stopping him.
When Tebow succeeds(Broncos new coach John Fox is said to be high on Tebow so he'll get a fair shot i'd say) then Locker succeeds? It won't bode well for the dual threat black quarterbacks. More and more young white males will be inspired into being that style of quarterback.

I hope Elway doesn't ruin Tebow's progression into a great QB. Orton is a solid QB but he will never (IMHO) be a franchise QB like Tebow has shown the potential to be. If TPTB thought the fans in Denver were mad when they turned on the old

see how much they will turn on the new regime if their most popular
player (Tebow) doesn't get a chance after showing so much potential last
year. Tebow can't play in the NFL even after leading the greatest come
from behind victory in Denver's history. Yet that black WR/QB on the

Turns out we can add golfing to the list of things that he excels at. And this is getting annoying.
Tebow teamed with former Jets' LB Jason Taylor, Kenny G and Jack Nicklaus at the Honda Classic Pro-Am on Wednesday and apparently put on quite a show. Though he plays sparingly â€" a phrase that must thrill the average duffer who misses one week at the range only to watch his handicap triple â€" Tebow flexed his pipes and outdrove the 339-yard par-4 first hole. There are some ridiculous articles being written about Tebow right now. John Elway hasn't said anything official except that "they will not trade Tebow" and the other statement is "he will compete for the starting job", but people are speculating that he will be traded and that they will draft a new qb
"Even if you, me and John Elway think the answer is no, can the Broncos keep Tebow out of the lineup?
In sports, where we cling to the naive belief that the best man should win, the competition for Denver's starting quarterback has turned into a political game, with everybody from the Broncos' website to Jockey advertising executives backing Tebow in a marketing campaign.
Sorry, Kyle Orton. The 20 touchdown passes you tossed last season don't count for much. In the hearts of Broncomaniacs, you're losing to Tebow by a landslide.

How do they know Tebow won't win games? he was a freaking first round pick last year and played in 3 games his rookie season and shown flashes of being great. Orton didn't win, is it fair to toss him aside? no but if this is supposed to be about winning....He had a good stretch for the beginning for the Broncos and it went downhill. I think he would do better for another team but Tebow has more upside
