Ive been saying this since he came out of college. Put him at halfback. His has a great blend of speed and power. Great initial burst and his change of direction ability is off the charts, espescially for a big back. I don't know how he would do as a receiver out of the backfield but I imagine he can catch . He is built like a runningback and plays like one. He can develop into a great dual threat qb over time, but why not put him there at halfback for the time being? Have a few wildcat plays where he has the option to throw and its not much different from what he was doing in Denver. Besides its not like we have a ton of White backs out there so another one getting carries would be great. Shonne Greene is solid but not a game changing back with only 2 100 yard games last year, LT is over the hill and Joe McKnight has shown no ability as a runningback. Of course putting him at halfback would make too much sense for any team to actually do, even though he has ran well in the NFL so far, with 660 yards last year and 6 tds, 5.4 ypc. Most of these were designed run plays. If there were a way to get him at halfback, I think his success would open up more doors for future White backs, more than a guy like Peyton Hillis and if he, Hillis, Woodhead and Gerhart are all doing well when carrrying the ball it proves our point even more. That these guys aren't the exception to the rule, that there are many more like them. They want to win the division they have to beat the Patriots, if they want to beat the Patriots try beating Bellicheck using his own methods, use some White players at the skill positions and getting a little more creative on offense. Sadly, this probably won't happen and one of the biggest reasons he probably got Tebow was to keep him away from the Patriots, remember it was McDaniels who drafted him, and they were probably team interested in picking him up.

I was really hoping to see him in Jacksonville, where, culturally, he'd fit in like a glove and have an enthusiatic and friendly fanbase and a community which shares his religious orientation. Instead, he's going to a team that is one of the worst thug-ridden franchises in the NFL, where the head coach has no control over his players and where the collective "community" is the antithesis of his own personal persuasion.

I'm sure the homies in Harlem, Queens, and the Bronx, the homos in SoHo and Greenwich Village and the kosher-crowd in Brooklyn can't wait to watch him play.

Exhibit A: Antonio Cromartie:

"We don't need Tebow"
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/new-york-jets-antonio-cromartie-tim-tebow-trade-032112

I can just imagine the abuse that Tim is going to take in that godforsaken hell-hole of a locker room.

The candy-ass 8th Grade level Offense employed by Denver for him never really gave him a chance...and only one year in any system is not nearly enough time anyway, for anyone. The NFL teams that interviewed him before he was drafted were in awe at how he was able to break down an Offense. I'm thinking things would've been very different for him in Denver if Urban Meyer was their OC...or even if Josh "McWigger" had stayed.

That being said, from a strictly football-wise standpoint, it may be a good situation for him. The Jets have Sanchez, Drew Stanton, Greg McElroy, and Tim. In my mind McElroy would already be a better starting QB than Sanchez, if given the chance, but with his recent comments about the Jets having a "corrupt mindset" and filled with "extremely selfish individuals", his days are probably numbered, as Ryan said when asked if the Jets would seek a quarterback who would push Sanchez, "Well, with McElroy's comments, absolutely." McElroy will probably learn the hard way that sometimes it's better to just keep quiet than speak the truth. With McElroy now probably gone or in the doghouse and Stanton probably not the answer, that probably leaves Tim the next in line behind Sanchez.

New Jets OC Tony Sparano has emphasized repeatedly that he wants the Jets offense to be "physical" and Tebow certainly provides that. Also with Sparano spearheading the "Wildcat" formation in the NFL in 2008, he now has someone that can run it very effectively, giving them a different dimension than what Sanchez gives them. Apparently, Ryan, likes that idea as well:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...o-get-their-wildcat-quarterback-in-tim-tebow/

And the fact that Tim beat both Sparano and Ryan last year probably helped a lot in their decision to take him. I'm going to try to be optimistic about it. Maybe it will be a win-win situation for us, especially if Manning can get Clark and/or Stokely to sign with Denver as well.

Of course, he lands in one of the worst teams he could have landed in the most anti-Christian place in the world. It would have made too much sense for him to go to Jacksonville. What would the franchise do with a sold out stadium? Too many headaches for the yid owners to figure out I guess. Reminds me of nearly every other important caste signing where our guys go to the worst possible team and sign for pennies. This can't possible be a free market.

Tebow is going to hate NY. He'll be around the most racist arrogant players in the entire league. Knowing what a scumbag Sanchez is he'll be Tim Tebow hater # 1. I'm willing to bet there isn't a single black player on the Jets that is happy he is there. I've heard Tebow was hated in Denver because he was constantly trying to get teammates to attend Bible study with him. If he'd asked teammates to "make it rain" in the strip clubs it would be a different story. Hopefully Sanchez falters, and he most likely will, and then they are forced to start Tim.

I'm shocked that anyone on this forum is surprised at owners making decisions based on things other than winning. The Jags traded up in the first round last year to take Gabbert. The financially wise thing to do would be to give him a fair opportunity to succeed. However, the jock sniffers have already deemed him to be a "bust," so the Jags front office is ready to write off the money they invested already.

As we all know, the Rams drafting Brian Leonard, and then never letting him play his position, was an idiotic waste of money. So was the Chargers wasting a high pick on Jacob Hester and turning him into a blocking fullback. The Vikings traded up to get Toby Gerhart, for the express purpose of NOT letting him play. These predatory capitalists watch every pen and rubber band that disappears from their offices. Are we to believe they are willing to throw milions away on investments they KNOW will never give them a fair return? As the hot dog commercial used to say, they answer to an even higher authority.

The fact that a functional imbecile like Cromartie can impregnate nine different women, and face no consequences from it, all because he is a mediocre performer at a child's game, exemplifies what it means to live in Don King's America. Meanwhile, a virtuous, genuinely nice young man like Tim Tebow is ostracized, lampooned and despised like no other athlete I have ever seen. I can only conclude that our corrupt, moronic idiocracy is simply rejecting him instinctively, like a bacteria would naturally avoid an anti-biotic. Cromartie's immature, hateful tweet directed at Tebow reflects how low we have sunk- the sad fact is that most Americans probably agree with him.

Tebow is in a disastrous situation, but he was set up to fail last season, too, and somehow defied all the odds. I wouldn't bet against him. He seems to have an exceptionally strong, indefatigible character.

Great post as usual bigunreal. I enjoyed reading it.

Here's my New York perspective on the Tebow to the Jets stuff. Tri-state area Jets fans, some of the drunk white variety and others minorities, are some of the most anti-White in the country. From hearing them on sports radio call-in shows, reading their comments in forums and talking to them they always fawn over black players and are critical and derogatory to white ones. Decades of extremely liberal media has warped their way of thinking. Many of the White Jets fans behave, dress and talk like wiggers and openly praise the thug culture in the clubhouse. They see it as "toughness". They love Rex Ryan, they love trash talking and they love their criminal players.

All that being said they are crazed for a winning team and have zero patience. As much as they loved Sanchez 2 and 3 years ago, many fans have turned on him just as quick after last season. If Tebow can help the Jets win in any capacity, even the most thick-skulled fans will love and embrace him. If Tebow struggles or the team is losing, NYC will become a living hell for him.

Well said, my friend. But alas, Tebow is now Jew York bound…prepared to supplant the black-eyed “Great Mestizo Hope” within the heartland of America’s most infamous bleeding concrete hemorrhoid (NYC).

Yesterday, ESPN’s ugly little gremlin, Mark Schlereth, was discussing the reasons why Denver was so eager to “rid themselves” of the curse of “Tebow Mania.” He said something like: “During training camp, when Tebow would take a few snaps, the fans would cheer like zealots, the noise was unbelievable! Then, when Orton would get back under center, they would boo ferociously. Mark Sanchez is now facing what the Broncos organization was so tired of hearing. He’ll be under the microscope like never before.”

And yes, Schlereth did use the word “Zealots” in describing Tebow’s fan base. He then went on to discuss how Tebow has proved that he is entirely incapable of running a pro-style offense, how he cannot make professional NFL throws, and how Mark Sanchez is a far better quarterback by every conceivable measure. We’ll see about that, “Stink.”

CAPTION: Lips Pursed to Accommodate Black Ass

A few minutes later, Merrill “Cuckhold” Hoge bequeathed a nauseating sermon on why, if he were the Colts management, selecting Robert Griffin III over Andrew Luck would be a wise decision.

When Skip Bayless is your only media defender, you know you're in trouble. Not a single person will point out that ALL of Tebow's stats compare favorably to any QB past or present at this stage of his career, except for completion percentage. As has been pointed out here, this is largely because of the predictable, low percentage passes they let him throw in Denver. When your starting RB has ZERO passing targets the entire season, you simply aren't trying to win ball games.

Elway set Tebow up for failure, telling Fox to institute the most moronic, self- defeating offensive game plan the league has ever seen. To their utter horror, Tebow somehow overcame that and won games on sheer force of will. Never have I seen what we had in Denver- a coach and general manager openly rooting against their starting QB.

One of the few white Jets players, DeVito, did come out publicly and welcome Tebow. Maybe there a few others who will, too, but for the most part, Tebow will have to be more magical than ever to win over that odious, criminal clubhouse, led by Buddy Ryan's obese boy.

I also wanted to see Tim in Jacksonville. I don't like him landing in NY w/ the Jets & their egomaniac coach & verminous fan base. I'll be pulling for him at QB, but wouldn't mind if he got solid reps at RB or TE, etc.

I've been crazy busy lately and haven't read through all the recent posts on this story, but I'm glad Tim is somewhere besides Denver. His new situation isn't ideal, but it sure could be a lot worse!

It's official. Tim Tebow is the most hated man in NY and he hasn't even arrived yet. Joe Namath blasted Tebow yesterday and stated the Jets only traded for him to boost revenue and not for his talents.

Tebow knows he can be a TE or RB and will do it on occasion to help his team but he's made it clear that he's a QB and will not switch positions full time. White RB's need to be as determined as Tebow is about not switching positions.

The Jets guaranteed Tebow the backup QB job and letting him run the wildcat and some red zone and goal line situations. The Jags were going to make him a bench player (unless the owner forced the coach and GM's to play him) which is why Tim went to NY.

Reading articles in my area make me sick. Supposedly, quite a few players on the Jets don't want Tebow. That would mean Cromartie and just about every other bruvah on the team. I'm sure even some of the white players don't want him.

whiteathlete33,

I wouldn't worry about anything cromartie says, that poor slob's got more problems than you can shake a stick at. He's about 1-3 years, maybe less, from landing the gutter/slammer.

This is just absurd. What black player would ever get this type or disrespect? Even the though of this makes me sick.

[h=1]Tim Tebow, the special teamer?[/h]By MJD | Shutdown Corner – 1 hour 40 minutes ago

Getty ImagesWhatever the Jets end up doing with Tim Tebow in 2012, it's going to carry a heavy element of surprise. That's the upside of an acquisition that makes many people ask, "What the heck are they going to do with him?"
Peter King mentioned on Monday morning something we haven't heard much of before ‒ Tim Tebow, the special teamer. Here's the King:
I thought Tebow was going to be used five to eight snaps a game, but listening to coach Rex Ryan in Florida, he sounds like he's open to more -- up to 20 -- with the field spread, near the goal line, on two-point conversions, and maybe even using Tebow as the personal protector on the punt team. Having a defense in alert mode for Tebow will be a benefit no matter how accurate he is. Or isn't.
One can see how having Tebow on the punt team would be of help the Jets. By just having him out there, the receiving team has one more thing to which to pay attention. If the Jets end up doing this, it would be interesting to monitor their success on special teams plays with Tebow vs. special teams plays without Tebow.
Maybe he'll hold field goals, too, and make teams keep an eye on the possibility of a fake there, too. Maybe he'll try to block punts. Maybe he'll be on the kickoff coverage team. Maybe they'll let him run out onto the field and grab the tee after a kickoff.
I don't know. That's the point. Any crazy thing the Jets have up their sleeve with Tebow, they're going to keep under wraps until the games count. They could scheme up something new for him every single week.
Also, you know if Tebow makes three special teams tackles or scores one touchdown, he's getting the Pro Bowl nod as the AFC's special teamer. I'm sure no one in the league offices would mind selling some Tim Tebow Pro Bowl jerseys.

The Jets did this with Ray Lucas his first and maybe second year on the team. But he was at best the 4th qb and only made the team because of his running ability. Tebow is clearly number 2 and will step in if Sanchez looks like he did late in the season when the Jets needed to run the table. I wonder if Tebow will get banged up doing this glorified grunt work.

I doubt he will get banged up. If he is on special teams it will probably be some sort of fake, or as a decoy into making the other team think its a fake. This all started with Peter King saying he "might" see snaps on the punt team. I don't think these guys can grasp the idea of Tebow getting 20 snaps (which is what Rex Ryan said), so in their minds they are probably hoping that half of these snaps come on special teams even though Rex Ryan said there would be offensive packages for Tebow. He will run some version of the "wildcat". The beauty of this is that the Jets are already a power running team. Most of these plays, the line does not have to block any different than plays they already run out of regular formations. The thing that will make it more successful is that Tebow is actually a threat to throw it. He doesn't have to be like a Tom Brady to make it work, just has to be good enough for defenses to fear, which the Dolphins did not have with someone like Ronnie Brown. The Dolphins drafted Pat White but he was too thin to be any threat to run on the inside. Of course they will have to make tweaks to the Wildcat and be more creative. The Broncos admitted that they "ran out of steam" when it came to calling plays for him, which is why we saw the same basic zone read time after time. They still had a good running game and Tebow was able to have 13.7 yards per completion, which was 3rd in the league, tied with Eli Manning.

I wonder if this means that the Jets are heading in the right (White) direction. Ryan must realize that he needs more Whites on his team to have any chance of beating the Patriots (he kind of admitted this when he said there was no leadership in the lockerroom) They also picked up the White rugby star Hayden Smith. The key with White players is versatility. Who knows what position Hayden will play, but what position does Julian Edelman play? receiver? defensive back? Edelman could line up at qb if they wanted him to.

"Despite mixed reviews, New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan is very excited about the acquisition of former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. The Jets plan to give Tebow a steady diet of snaps in their Wildcat offense under new offensive coordinator Tony Sparano.

Here is a sample of comments Ryan made about Tebow and the Wildcat at this week’s owners meetings:
  • "Trust me, I don't think DBs want to tackle [Tebow]. It's really a unique skill set ... That system, the Wildcat, he's the perfect guy, not to mention I think he's a guy that's ascending as a passer."
  • "Tim is a better inside runner than Brad [Smith]. His inside run game is like a fullback. He can run option, can run on perimeter and can throw."
  • "He"s not just a backup player. He’s a backup quarterback, but there’s things he’s going to do. Is he going to be our starting quarterback in the Wildcat? Absolutely."
  • "I think the Wildcat is alive and well."

I just hate that he can't seem to think of Tebow running as a halfback, instead it has to be fullback. I don't know of any real fullback that can get to the outside as quickly as Tebow, he can get to the outside faster than the halfback they already have, Shonn Greene. I just wonder who will they use on sweeps? McKnight? That was one of the few things he was successful at in high school, not good at traditional run plays.

If Ryan is truly commited to giving Tebow 20 plays per game, I think he will wind up with at least 500 yards rushing, not sure how many passing yards. Maybe we should do some sort of poll of what we predict Tebow's stats will look like next year.

I know Tebow could be effective in a power backfield set with John Connor or even in a double tight end set similar to the calls that Brandon Jacobs has gotten the last couple of seasons since Ahmad Bradshaw has become the main back for the Giants.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Tim in New York over the next few months. The start of the 2012 NFL regular season is less than 5 months away.

I think he could do much better than Jacobs, he could be more in a feature back role. Jacobs doesn't have the quickness that Tebow has and is limited to a few plays where he excels. Tebow could excel on any playcall, he has the quickness, shifty, can get to the edge very quick, if you have ever seen any close up angles on those short yardage/goal line carries its amazing to see how well he moves in tight spaces unlike Jacobs who kind of bulldozes his way through. Tebow can do that to but I think his style is the reason why he hasn't taken too much of a beating. The only thing about the pros is that he has been coached to avoid contact so he has been going out of bounds more, less big runs, in college the 4 receiver sets didn't help for big runs because they couldn't hold their blocks for long, plus his coaches in college wanted him to limit contact once he got the first down, unless it was a goal line carry (but they didn't emphasize it that much), all of Jacob's big runs come when the line has huge gaping holes and teammates hold their blocks downfield. He has some shiftiness but its barely adequate, which is probably why Ahmad Bradshaw is the main runner now and Jacobs is seeing the ball less, plus the wear and tear. Bradshaw is running harder than Jacobs the last few games I saw.

In the video, 1:02, thats the wrong read, the defender is waiting for him but he shows some moves to make him miss, Jacobs just doesn't have that in him.
2:03 on the inverted zone read, its the right read but where he wound up after the read/exchange the defense had someone there to tackle him as well as one for the back he manages to cut back in explode through the crease. Jacobs struggles to do stuff like that, he kind of lumbers when it comes to changing direction.

At 2:57, the way he squeezed through that hole and still managed to maintain explosiveness, that is amazing right there, the way he makes himself smaller by going sideways and kind of jumping through the hole, I don't think Jacobs can do that which is why he takes some more punishment. At 3:13, I love this one, supposed to keep going to the right because its speed option, wide receiver doesn't make his block so there is a defender to account for the pitchman and a defender to account for Tebow so changes direction. 3:24, Jacobs can't make that lateral move as quick.

6:19 was supposed to keep going right but he saw a lane and hit it, in a split second he could tell that there would be two unblocked defenders, one for him and one for the pitchman. His quickness is just great, his vision as well. I know it wasn't running from the traditional halfback spot but some of those plays were blocked like you would a normal running play and some of the cuts were similar to what he would do from the halfback spot like at 1:14, don't know why he turns his head back, he could have had a much longer run.

Kind of the reason I have always pushed for him to be a halfback, he has elite skills as a runner. He would be much better than Blount, who is great at running, just not pass blocking or catching. I am sure Tebow can catch and learn to pass block. Hopefully he goes back to more of his college style of running with the Jets, they have managed to get big holes for Greene and an aging LT. Get everyone sucked up close to the line of scrimmage, break through a hole then there is only one or two smaller defensive backs to push over on the way to the endzone. But since he is stuck as a "wildcat qb" he would have a hard time breaking 1k with only 20 snaps. Hopefully about half will be keepers, around 5 will be handoffs to another back and maybe 5 pass attempts. So he has the chance to run anywhere from 500 to 800 yards. If he got to carry at least 10 times a game and averaged the same as the past two seasons he would have over 850 yards rushing but it depends on the play calls, the reads etc. Personally I think he has more potential as a runner than Hillis. I know the Tebow haters claim he can only run because defenders are worried he will pass, but he is getting a good deal of his yards on the option and qb draws, qb power etc, not scrambling on broken down pass plays. After a split second the defense knows its going to be a run, its not any different from a qb dropping back under center to hand off to a back, it could be play action fake, or it could be a handoff. The defense still can be frozen for a split second. Its also funny when they say the defenses are worried about him passing, and then go on to talk about how he isn't a threat to pass!

Tim drew in a slew of Easter Day parishioners during his message at the Texas church. Mega-church or not, he hopefully drew in heathens and was able to share the Gospel of Christ with the lost.

I read comments under some articles about the Sunday Service. A few were positive but I've never seen so much negativity directed at a decent fellow like Tebow in my life. Most posters were asking when Tebow will "come out of the closet" about his homosexuality.

Typical heathenistic banter. Whenever someone is tremendously successful (blessed) & vehemently proclaims Christ, there's always jealous naysayers looking for flaws. Just because Tim's not out there behaving like a vile wh0re, these wisenheimer heathens have to make their weak attempt at being "witty" (kosher style).:dodgy:
