Tigirl’s 14[SUP]th[/SUP] (and hopefully final) Major Championship was won at the U.S. Open in June 2008. If he indeed returns from his back surgery for the U.S. Open in June 2014, it’ll have been 6 full years since his last Major victory. It should also be noted that Wood’s hasn’t won at the Master’s since 2005. “Golf Digest†seems to think that Woods could actually miss all four Major Championships…

Woods said in a statement he had surgery in Utah on Monday for a pinched nerve that had been bothering him for several months. The No. 1 player in the world and four-time Masters winner had to withdraw during the final round of the Honda Classic early last month before skipping the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Such an injury, according to Hecht, is often the cause of pain in the leg and buttock, as well as in the lower back. It can get better with rest, but many athletes opt to have this procedure because of its high success rate. Hecht said approximately 90 percent of elite athletes return to their former level of competition.

Of course, that will take time. Hecht said there is a gradual phase of rehabilitation followed by a more intense phase and finally the return of an athlete to activities for his/her specific sport.

"The golf swing is a very powerful, twisting motion," Hecht said. "Just because you're not getting tackled, doesn't mean you can't hurt your back."

Hecht said on average the rehab process takes three to four months. Woods could recover more quickly, but a three-month layoff wouldn't have Woods returning until the end of June, meaning he'd miss the U.S. Open in addition to the Masters. A four-month recovery would mean he'd miss the British Open as well, and anything more could result in him missing all four major championships.

In other words, Woods picked the worst time to miss a three-to-four month chunk of the season.

No two injuries are the same, of course, but Graham DeLaet is a recent example of a golfer to undergo the same surgery as Woods. He spoke about his microdiscectomy at the 2012 Sony Open:

"I had a herniated disk over to the right, so they go in and shave off a piece of that to alleviate the pinch on the nerve," DeLaet said. "I had terrible pain in my right leg. Yeah, it was not fun. I'm glad it's all over and I'm feeling great now."

DeLaet made a full recovery and was one of 2013's breakout stars when he was the best player for the International squad at the Presidents Cup. That's the good news for the 38-year-old Woods. The bad news? DeLaet had the surgery when he was 10 years younger than Woods and it essentially wiped out his entire 2011 season.

Odds are, Woods won't miss as much time as DeLaet. But due to the timing of the procedure, he could wipe out his entire major championship season. For a man so focused on golf's four biggest events, that might hurt just as much.

Honestly, as much as I detest “Captain Corntooth,†I’d much prefer to see him play and continue to titillate/torture the media by faltering.

After Tiger’s latest alleged back injury and subsequent withdrawal at the WGC Bridgestone (which conveniently came when he was 18 shots back of the leader) ESPN and other Tiger-centrics in the golf world seem to be frustrated with their fading idol. Yesterday on ESPN, I heard a nut-hugger (Pablo Torre) on the show “Around the Horn” utter: “At this point, it’s almost as if we in the media are trying to ‘will’ Tiger to break Jack’s record, but it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen.”

On the ESPN show “PTI,” Bob Ryan (filling in for Tony Kornheiser), the elderly buffoon who is normally as anti-white as humanly possible, emphatically said: “Tiger has the body of an old man. It’s over. He is finished. At this point, we shouldn’t discuss if he’ll break Jack’s record, we should wonder if he’s ready to move on from golf and do something else with his life.”

Tiger will almost certainly miss the final major tournament of the year, the PGA Championship. When the 2015 Masters tees off next April, it’ll have been 7 years since Tiger’s final victory at a Major Championship.

Despite the fact that His Royal Majesty is almost surely not playing, check out this screen shot from the PGA Championship website...

Like so many "black" athletes, Woods is aging rapidly and ungracefully. Last week I watched part of Golf Channel's (aka Tiger Channel's) replay of the final round of the 2000 PGA at Valhalla, when Woods and Bob May had their memorable final round duel. Woods looks to have aged more than 20 years since then, and his body was lithe and supple then, before what was likely many years of a juicing regimen that turned him into the hulk so adored by his media enablers and protectors.

And man he was admittedly terrific that day; the contrast to his level of play now was startling to realize. 2000 was Woods at his peak; yet the media still continues to worship him in the same mode they did then to this very day, although it does seem that the reality of his embarrassing decline while still in his 30s is finally beginning to set in.

Woods was just 32 when he won his last major, the age when most golfers are hitting their best years, Justin Rose, Adam Scott, Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson and Sergio Garcia being good examples. Few top golfers decline so early and swiftly. Will the media ever show any interest in whether Woods "cheated" or will they always stick to the convenient myth that he outworked everyone else on the practice range and in the gym? As with Serena Williams, bet on the latter; black heroes just aren't given the "Lance Armstrong treatment" unless they have an epic fail on an O.J. Simpson like level.

The PGA Championship begins tomorrow and still, Tiger “titillates” the Caste Media, who are gnawing away at their fingernails wondering if their always-discourteous brown savior will enter the tournament, or miss his 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] major of the season due to injury. If only to further the acute humiliation that has been Woods’ 2014 campaign, I hope that he does play, aggravate his alleged back injury, “quit” again after playing poorly (he’d never quit if he had a chance to win, remember the 2008 U.S. Open?), and run home to Lindsey Vonn Afrika with his dingleberry-encrusted tail between his legs.

“His Divine Golfing Holiness,” hallowed be thy name, has been granted a special extention to enter the tournament up until the moment he's scheduled to tee off...

Tiger Woods was supposed to declare by 5 p.m. ET on Tuesday whether he would take part in the final major of the year. Instead, not only was Woods not at Valhalla, site of the 96th PGA Championship, but he still has yet to declare if he is physically able to play beginning Thursday. Instead, according to the PGA of America, Woods contacted officials to ask for an extension on registration, which was granted. He can register up until his 8:35 a.m. ET tee time alongside Phil Mickelson and Padraig Harrington on Thursday morning.

72 hours ago, Tiger couldn’t even stand up straight, walk, or get into his car in the parking lot. Magically, a mere four days later, he suddenly “might” be able to play in a major tournament? I think he’s a melodramatic fraud and attention-whore...

Apparently, without “Der Schwarzen Scheißkerl” in contention, the DWF’s are no longer watching golf, particularly major championships. Some grim news from USA Today concerning the ratings for this PGA season…

The Masters. Won by 35-year-old Bubba Watson. No Tiger. TV ratings abysmal -- the worst two-day average rating since 1957, which was when Nielsen began measuring these things.

The U.S. Open. Won by 29-year-old Martin Kaymer. No Tiger. Lowest final-round U.S. Open TV audience on record.

The British Open. Won by 25-year-old Rory McIlroy. Tiger finished 69[SUP]th[/SUP], so there might as well have been no Tiger. Worst rating for a British Open since ESPN took over the rights in 2009.

I'm thinking we are seeing a trend here. With Tiger on the rocks, a charismatic American wins his second green jacket, one of the world's finest young players rolls to a big victory at Pinehurst No. 2 and Tiger's heir apparent wins the third leg of the career Grand Slam in his Open championship – and a vast majority of American sports fans couldn't have cared less.

Young Jordan Spieth in the mix at the Masters? Rickie Fowler surging to the top of the leaderboard in all three majors? Sergio Garcia, having already lived a lifetime at 34, challenging Rory down the stretch at the British?

It's all met by one big yawn.

If Phil Mickelson had been a significant presence in any of these tournaments, that would have helped considerably. Phil doesn't move the needle quite as Tiger does, but he's close. When they're both gone or not playing well, the TV ratings don't stand a chance. Since Phil is 44 and Tiger is nearly 39, I'd say this is becoming a significant problem for the PGA Tour.

All these years, we thought Tiger was bringing new fans to golf. Turns out he actually was bringing new fans to Tiger. And when he's gone, isn't it logical to think that they will be gone too? There once was the thought that they'd just transfer their allegiance to Rory. How wrong that appears now. Most fans gravitate to the newest new thing. Not in this sport, at least not now. They only want the old guy.

It was good old star-gazing, that's what it was. (And will be again, if Woods gets healthy and returns to his old self, or some semblance thereof.) The masses weren't actually interested in golf. They simply were following a superstar.

It's tempting to ask what's wrong with these fans. While they cheer on Tiger, he acts as if they barely exist, but neither he nor his fans seem to be bothered in the least by this. All they ask is that he give them a few glimpses of 1997, or 2000, or maybe even 2008 at Torrey Pines. They love him for what he once was, and they want to see that again.

Or, perhaps they watch now because, since 2009, Tiger's life has turned into a remarkable soap opera, and it's simply impossible to turn away. Even if the golf isn't any good, there's always the never-bleeped-out swearing, the dramatic dropping of clubs and the angst-ridden parking lot scenes.

With TV ratings at rock bottom, you have to hand it to Tiger. He's certainly doing his part to try to make the PGA Championship as interesting as possible. As of Tuesday afternoon, there was still no word on whether he would show up and play, or miss his third major championship of the year. Back spasms got the best of him last weekend, he said, and he appears to be pushing his decision on whether to play or not to the very last minute.

I vote that he shows up minutes before his 8:35 a.m. tee time Thursday as a latter-day, golf version of Willis Reed. People will certainly tune in to see that.

Even at his worst, Tiger has talent and will always be a threat to win big tournaments if he’s playing and gets hot. For that reason, I’m not sure whether I’d prefer that he retires from golf altogether, or continue on his current path of creating an orgasmic media spectacle whenever he plays, only to end in another wretched performance, missing the cut, or “quitting” due to his infinite collection of injuries. The latter is much more fun!

I find it interesting how the Golf Channel is seemingly diagnosing his problem with Woods' back. They're saying how impossible it is that he's even thinking about playing or playing well, based on what happened last Sunday. All we know is Woods says he had back spasms.

He has supposedly recovered enough to play in 3 tournaments and showed no signs of trouble until he started playing poorly at Firestone! No one REALLY knows how bad his back is.

It's a win, win for Woods and the adoring media.

If he somehow plays well and wins or finishes in the top 10, they'll say how much courage he has and how great he is for playing through back problems even though we really don't know all the details. If he plays poorly and then starts blaming the back, he's off the hook and how courageous he was for trying.

Only Woods knows the truth and I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him!

BTW, I caution ya'll don't watch the Golf Channel for too long. You may become violently sick on your stomach!

As Carolina Speed noted, this pity-seeking charlatan will use this “injury,” which conveniently seems to rear its ugly head exclusively when he’s playing poorly, to his advantage.

The recuperative powers of Super Heroes are different from mere mortals like you and me. Look how quickly Captain America or Wolverine heal from their devastating injuries.

From a practical sense I get what Wood is doing. The way the media has set up the tournaments it's all about Woods. If he is doing poorly what's the point? Can it be more embarrassing to have the largest media contingent and gallery for a guy 20 shots off the lead?

He's so rich the few thousand he makes from his low finish won't even cover the bill for his whores for the week, so why keep on playing? But even Tiger can't just walk away like a bitch. So he has to feign injury to get out. If the media would stop centering a circus around him then maybe he could be like other golfers, stick some great rounds in with a few clunkers. But the bar is so high that it's a big let down for a lot of people whenever he sucks. Maybe in a perverse way he is doing everyone a favor by leaving early?

I still think he can put up some good numbers but you have to wonder how his mind has been effected. At one time it was his supreme confidence and will to win that really gave him the edge. That has to have been seriously eroded. It wasn't so long ago he was putting up No. 1 golfer numbers. It's still possible, he ain't that old.

I read an article (see link below) about Woods’ pain-free practice round at the PGA…

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/more-sports/tiger-woods-play-pga-championship-article-1.1893934

Some extremely interesting comments below the article, presumably from casual golf fans and not racially-cognizant types like us here…

C’mon, this is all fake. We’ve seen this movie before. Woods is performing terribly, he winces and withdraws. CBS and Jim Nantz were openly lying in Wood’s favor saying he fell after his shot from a bunker on No. 2 all while showing the clip. Woods hit the ball, turned, jumped down into the sand area and trotted out, turned and looked for his shot. No wince, no grabbing the back, no sign of pain only the pundits shilling for Woods. He went on playing, had some more poor scoring and then withdrew. The film clip and narrative didn’t match, weren’t even close. And when CBS took over at 2 pm EST they started with “Breaking News” looking grim as though the Ebola virus just hit Akron.
They preceded to highlight Woods ad nausea while the tournament was on, then showed the big limp off the golf cart. I told my wife, if he plays in the PGA Championship after that display it confirms his injury is just like Tiger and his GC/NBC/CBS shills – frauds. He should have flown to Hollywood. I rest my case!

I couldn't agree more. Must be nice to have a built in excuse once things turns south too. He knows at ANY time during the PGA Championship if he is playing poorly enough he can claim the "my back started to spasm" and withdraw with all the adoring approval of his sheeple fans. Whoever is buying this act is pretty stupid. Guy is not a man anymore. He is a baby. Can't wait for the Oscar moment when he realizes he is out of it and starts to feign pain. So weak.

this is getting old. I like to see if in fact he had an operation at all on his back. when he does not do well it is the back. like Serena Williams, when she loses it is because she is not completely well. I hope he shoots a 76 today

Yeah and? He won't win so what's the big deal? Not that the fools that cover golf won't treat him like the favorite since that's the built in easy story rather than reporting on Rory who actually has a chance to win.

I've been reading the comments below Tiger articles for years, and I've never seen comments like that before.

After winning 5 times last year and being named PGA POY with swing coach Sean Foley, Woods has decided to fire him!

I guess he's looking for an excuse as to why he's playing poorly other than the mirror.

John Daly: PGA drug testing a "big joke"

http://espn.go.com/golf/story/_/id/12458833/john-daly-calls-pga-tour-drug-testing-big-joke

Interesting excerpts:

Daly's chief complaint was the predictability of the drug testing.
"I know when I'm getting drug tested," he said. "That's sad. They all know when we're getting drug tested. And for you dopers and all that s--- on the PGA Tour, you know you're getting drug tested, you got it made! You got it made! And I'm tired of it."

A PGA Tour veteran and multiple tournament winner not only verified John Daly's statements but went a step further.
"You would be surprised how many guys are tested more often [than others]. I refer to this group as the 'safe' guys. We get tested often because we are clean, and it makes testing look frequent and thorough. Total facade. They don't test 'big iffy' guys often at all. Never out of competition either. Testing Daly may seem thorough, but nobody has ever thought he's done anything illegal. Only alcohol, and that's not illegal. ... It is a joke, as JD said. No transparency."

I believe there is enough circumstantial evidence to link Woods to PED use. I also think over the next 5 or so years, direct evidence will come out that will expose Woods as the cheater we believe him to be.

In 2001, someone paid $125,000 for a Tiger Woods card that was detached from a sheet of bound-in cards that were carried in the December 1996 issue of Sports Illustrated for Kids. The card graded PSA 10, meaning it was in gem mint condition.

Last month that same card sold for $5,878, or a decline of $119,122.

Over the years, I’ve read some stunningly dull-witted, Tiger-aggrandizing, anti-white articles on Tiger Woods. The unadulterated idiocy below (entitled: “Tiger Woods Played Better When He Played for a Greater Causeâ€), wretched forth by Golf.com’s Michael Bamberger, surely ranks with the all-time greats.

This fictitious filth hits all the customary talking points: ceaseless racism against Tiger, MLK, rich white America’s racism against blacks (at golf courses and ski slopes), excusing Earl Woods’ passionate racism against whites, excusing Tiger’s poor sportsmanship, and even making light of Tiger’s legendary infidelity (dehumanizing the waitresses, literal prostitutes, porn stars, D-list socialites, and other low-budget skanks be indiscriminately fornicated with by referring to the national outrage as a “Stiletto Paradeâ€). Strap yourself in, this is a good one…

When Tiger Woods was 14, he gave maybe his most interesting interview ever, to Trans World Sport, a TV program produced by IMG. It was recorded in November 1990, around the time his father, Earl, started a paying gig as a talent scout with the sports marketing company. In it, Tiger shows astonishing maturity, although at times you don't know if he's answering as himself or as a stand-in for Earl.

Tiger -- sitting in a golf cart, a retainer on his upper row -- is asked about being a black kid in a white man's game. How often does he face racism?

"Every day," Tiger says. "Not every day, but every time I go to a major country club. You can always feel it. You can always sense it. 'What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here.'"

Tiger is asked how he might influence the game. The interviewer mentions Jack Nicklaus. Tiger says, "Since I'm black, I might even be bigger than him -- to the blacks."

I thought of that interview when Woods, at his lost-tooth press conference in January, made a quick and amusing reference to the lack of "brown dudes at ski races." How often do you hear Woods voluntarily bring up race? Never. But it's on his mind. It has to be. Because he's a brown dude living in a country that has proven itself incapable of turning a blind eye toward race.

Some people who knew Earl say he was a racist. My guess is that it's more complicated. He was born in 1932, three years after Martin Luther King, and grew up in a segregated country many of us know only from John Howard Griffin's Black Like Me. The long father-son hug when Woods won his first Masters at 21, by 12 shots, was partly rooted in an emotion only the oppressed would truly understand: We showed them.

Augusta's troubled history with race is a tired subject, and in recent years the club has, in ways, reinvented itself. That history could not be a motivator for Woods anymore. But it once was, and it makes you wonder: To what degree did the racist history of golf in America motivate Earl when he was raising Tiger in the game? The stakes were impossibly high. Earl was raising a son engineered to beat the world first and change it later.

No old-timey American golf club, its clubhouse walls lined with portraits of long-dead mustachioed presidents, plays a role in Woods's fantasy life. Ben Crenshaw can get choked up talking about Chicago Golf Club. Tiger's not built for that. He's happy to play 36 at Medalist in South Florida in a cart, but he's in no rush to play two with club caddies at Baltusrol.

He's won his three U.S. Opens on public courses: Pebble Beach in 2000, Bethpage in 2002 and Torrey Pines in 2008. To me, Woods was making a statement with those wins in our national open. He was taking a stand for public golf. Yes, I'm saying that the venues themselves provided extra motivation on a subliminal level Woods himself could likely not identify. You're welcome to call me crazy.

I was at Woods's second of three U.S. Amateur wins, at Newport (R.I.) Country Club in 1995, when the grand old lady was already north of 100. I was struck by how ungracious Woods was at the closing ceremony, barely nodding to the club or the USGA or to Buddy Marucci, the man he had just defeated. I was probably expecting too much from a rising sophomore at Stanford and was too wedded to the example set by Nicklaus, so graceful in victory and defeat. Big Jack took his cues from Bobby Jones, who has come down to us as the very figure of gentility -- the great Robert Tyre Jones, who created Augusta National in his own image.

At the 1995 Am, when it was all over but the shouting, Earl stood with a small group nearby, raised his son's trophy up high and said, "This is for you, Bobby Jones. I hope you're rolling over in your grave, that it's going to a black man's home for another year." It was a crass but effective illustration of We showed them.

At the end of the Trans World Sport interview, Tiger was asked what one tournament he most wants to win and why. "The Masters," the teenager says. "[For] the way blacks have been treated there. If I win that tournament, that would be really big for us."

The 2009 stiletto parade and all that followed changed Woods. How could it not? He started playing, as Hank Haney quotes Woods saying in his book, "only for myself." That's the ultimate swing thought, really. Why are you even playing?Tiger's golf was better and more meaningful when he was playing for a greater cause. But that was then, and it is what it is.

As we all well know, Tiger’s mother (Kultida Punsawad) is 1/2 Thai, 1/4 Chinese, and 1/4 Dutch...

maar01-tida-woods.jpg

Wood’s father, Earl (the militant “Black Nationalistâ€) is of black, Native American, and European descent...

glenn_frey_2001_04_14.jpg

So what is Tiger…1/16th black? 1/8th black at best? Can you imagine a white athlete with so little European DNA being the lone “representative†of their race in a sport? Surely, the “One Drop Rule†is every bit as valid as it was hundreds of years ago.

My goodness, the agenda is not hidden in the least. I read the whole thing. What a complete dung pile. Now, how do I unread it? Do all Jewish males who fail to get into law school become sportswriters? I'm making an assumption, but that name echoed a good bit.

Sports Illustrated’s Michael Bamberger, the author of the piece (of desiccated excrement) I posted above, hails from inner-city Philadelphia, has black, kinky hair, dark eyes, a fake Germanic surname, wormed his way into a senior writer position despite a paucity of talent/creativity, and clearly fancies himself as some sort of “Anti-Racist†(Marxist Translation: “Anti-Whiteâ€). You’re correct in assuming that he's a Jew…

FYI, I’ve known lots of PA Germans with that surname, which likely derives from those who immigrated from the town of Bamberg in Bavaria.

For the first time in two decades, Bamberger's Lord and Savior, Woods, is no longer ranked in the top 100. From USA Today...

For the first time since 1996, Tiger Woods is out of golf’s top 100.Woods hasn’t played since he withdrew from the Farmers Insurance Open on February 5th and, despite a rough couple years, he just fell to No. 104 in the world rankings this week. Given his absences from the game and his poor play as of late, the fact that it took him this long to fall out of the top 100 is actually surprising.

The last time Woods was out of the top 100 was way back on Sept. 29, 1996. Woods was just 20 years old, and he was ranked No. 225 in the world. The following week Woods won the Las Vegas Invitational, the first of his 79 PGA Tour victories, and he never looked back.

With the 2015 Masters a little over a week away (April 9[SUP]th[/SUP]), it seems that Woods is prepared to once again “titillateâ€￾ the corporate media and DWF’s with the now-ubiquitous question each and every time a Major Championship tournament is forthcoming: “Will Tiger Play?â€￾ From SBNation...

Woods, like all past winners, has a lifetime pass into the tournament. Unlike other tourneys, the Masters has no deadline by which Woods must commit to play, so his decision -- one way or the other -- could come moments before his scheduled first-round tee time.

I hope he does register at the last moment, plays in the tournament, and embarrasses himself...

As you’ve all probably heard, Tiger Woods and the always-repulsive “Lindsey Vonn Afrikaâ€￾ called it quits after 2 years of dating this past Sunday. Apparently, Tiger is taking the loss of his flat-chested, pie-faced wiggeress very hard…

"Obviously, it does affect me," Woods said after a nine-hole practice round at TPC Sawgrass. "It's tough. There's no doubt. I'm not going to lie about that. And on top of that, this time of the year is really, really hard on me."

Sunday was the anniversary of his father's death. Tuesday was nine years to the day that a memorial service for Earl Woods was held at the Tiger Woods Learning Center.

"I haven't slept," he said. "These three days, May 3rd and through the 5th, today, is just brutal on me. And then with obviously what happened on Sunday, it just adds to it."

Don’t worry, Tiger, there are likely unwashed throngs of insincere white whores who only like you for your fame/fortune lining up to spend your money.

What consequences this break-up will have on his golf game remains to be seen, but it's good to see an interracial couple split, especially without producing any children...

I figure I'd put this here. There's a NCAA Minority PGA Collegiate Championship? http://www.pga.com/news/pga/bethune...legiate-golf-championship?cid=pgacomsocial_tw

I'm sure these fellows will be on their way to dominating the PGA Tour in a couple of years.... :icon_rolleyes: Watch out Jordan and Rory!

In all seriousness though, there must really not be any good black golfers coming up at all. If one had anything close to PGA talent, you know they'd be fast tracked to get on tour.

Vonn might be one of the stupidest White persons on the planet. Trusting a known cheater who's had 120 affairs to not cheat on you? Yea, okay....

After finishing in a tie for 17th place at “The Masters,” Woods played very poorly at “The Players” this past weekend, finishing tied for 69th in a field of 75.

Two moments that should be quite embarrassing for a 14-time Major winner included an animated “fist pump” after making the cut by the skin of his teeth and hooking a drive so bad in the 3rd round that it traveled only 105-yards and landed near the ladies tee…

Negroes are by nature more promiscuous than other races.

Have you ever known one to be faithful to his wife or girlfriend? I haven't.

Although Woods in no more than 1/4 Negro heritage, obviously he has some of the characteristics.
