Let me first say, that I'm not sure what I want. Right now, I can't think of anyone who can beat Joe. That being said, are there any fights out there bigger than Jones?
To me, there are only two opponents at Light Heavyweight for Joe: Chad Dawson and Glen Johnson. Dawson is the undefeated champ, Johnson beat Jones, and many feel he beat Dawson. Neither of these fights mean anything near as much as Hopkins and Jones, so they would both be steps down.
It's too bad James Toney is so fat. If he had the heart and desire for boxing that Jones and Hopkins have, he'd still be a Light Heavyweight. I'd like to see Joe fight him, that would have been a great 3rd fight for Joe, but Toney is so out of shape he could never make it back to 175.

Jones is definately past his prime, but most agree that this fight was the biggest left for Joe. I think Dawson would be a good fight for Joe, but in the end, people would discredit him by saying Dawson was unproven (like they did with Kessler and Lacy). In a way I would like to see Joe fight Dawson, taking out the current champ. However, there is something about beating legends, HOF's at the end of the career, that sticks in peoples minds. That's why I brought up Toney.
Edit: I should add too, that Joe himself is getting old and is past his best, which is a testament to how good he is/was.

Joe is getting old and although it probably looks better to the ignorant masses that Joe beat Jones, Dawson could probably beat Jones as well.
In fact, if Jones or BHop are looking for someone to fight, they should fight Dawson.
Beating Kessler is a bigger accomplishment than beating Jones.
I don't know if this is allowed on here but here's a HD download full broadcast of Calzaghe-vs-Jones with entrances and post fight interviews http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XUKAO62Vwhiteathlete33 said:Anyone know where the full Jones Calzaghe fight can be found? I missed alot of the fight because the streams kept going dead on me last night. I would like to see it again.

DWF's hate it when fellow whites beat and humiliate their black heroes. Calzaghe is resented by many of them for his accomplishments. They love showboating only when Negroes do it.  Joe will never get much respect from the fans anyway. I was checking out Eastside Boxing and looked at one of their polls. Where would JC rate as all time great? Top ten, top 50, top 100 etc. Most had him pegged at around 100,125, or 150.  Pathetic.  Only Blacks are great or very good.
Yes Hopkins wanted boat load of money and didn't bargain in good faith. I think this was later about 2002(After the Trinidad win). He knew Joe was too much of risk unless the purse was extremely fat.whiteathlete33 said:I was just on youtube and saw a comment about Calzaghe challenging Hopkins to a fight in 2000 with Hopkins backing out. Anyone know if there is any truth to this?
