thats stupid, Cooper is bigger (height and weight) can run block better, looks faster on the field, more physical, can run block better, can catch poorly thrown balls, great red zone threat, and the run blocking thing is big in Chip Kelly's offense, do they really want their tallest receiver to be 6 ft that has never topped 1k despite being given the playing time do it for 4 straight seasons.

It looks like a different source is claiming Coop was a bigger priority than da afleet maclin and his signing will be announced in a few days. This is good news for Foles.

what source? from what I heard on the radio today the Eagles are looking to get rid of Jason avant, of course Jim Rome was furious that Cooper would be kept over Avant, even though it was supposed to be a joke skit where he was saying Avant was the best receiver of all time because of some stupid song about him.

So it looks like Cooper might be stuck in the slot :(

its not letting me paste links or some reason but there is in article about how they are planning on resinging Cooper and Maclin, it seems like Maclin or Jackson should play more in the slot but I have this eerie feeling.

Eagles re-signed WR Riley Cooper to a five-year, $25 million contract.

The last year of the deal is voidable and we'll have to wait on the exact contract details to be sure, but it looks like the Eagles have overpaid. Given Cooper's ugly racial slur from last summer, it's unlikely he would have been welcomed into any other locker room as a free agent. Furthermore, he lacks an ability to separate consistently despite the eye-opening 47/835/8 contract-year breakout. Still, the 6'3/222 Cooper is a reasonable complement to diminutive DeSean Jackson because he brings red-zone chops and a willingness to go over the middle. If fellow free agent Jeremy Maclin is re-signed by the Eagles as expected, Cooper will enter 2014 as a No. 3 wideout.

Rotoworld loves Riley Cooper.

Weenieworld is probably right that Cooper wouldn't have gotten much of a deal anywhere else given his "crime against humanity" last summer, and how little credit he's still given as a receiver by the caste media despite playing so well after Foles became the starter.

I was reading the comments about Riley following a Philly area article that advocated keeping him because of his chemistry with Foles, and just about all the DWFs still see him as a liability with no "upside." If the Eagles don't sign Maclin, Cooper could put up huge numbers next season. There's no reason he won't continue to improve given it was his first real chance to play last year, since he does indeed have a lot of "upside." I really hope another team goes after the over-hyped Maclin, who is still generally thought of as a star, in sharp contrast to Riley, who outproduced anything Maclin's ever done last season after Foles began to start.

I know that it's February and Black History Month still but I'd like to declare today Riley Cooper Day. This really is a momentous occasion, celebrating Riley's battle victory over the Caste System in the NFL and over the PC, anti-White, Cultural Marxist society of the US of gAy. Sure he still has his haters at Weenieworld and other left-wing rags, but in the court of public opinion, the majority of folks have forgiven him or never thought it was a big deal in the first place. Talk about a comeback story! Just last year when "n*gger-gate" first broke, many of us thought his career was finished. And it probably would have been too if Coop was on another team with a head coach more Castean than Chip Kelly. Now Riley's got 10 million guaranteed and a chance to continue his rise to wide receiver stardom.

A rare win for us which I am fully going to enjoy.

In the NFL, there's such a fine line between success and being out of the league. If not for the injuries to Maclin and Vick, Cooper would be finished. It's a damn shame that so many White athletes need a perfect storm of events to get an opportunity to perform.

That said, congratulations to Riley Cooper. Now he needs to earn his paychecks and shut up all the Jewish mouthpieces.

With Cooper now miraculously re-signed to a very fair contract, let’s hope this squad can ascend to the top of the NFC East and become a perennial division winner in the mold of New England or Green Bay. With Foles, a 4/5 white OL, Cooper, Ertz, Celek, Casey, and Maehl, Kelly’s Eagles were a joy to watch in 2013 and 2014 could be better if they add some more defensive starters via the draft or free agency.

Of all the coach/QB combinations in the NFL, it seems most likely that Kelly/Foles have the most potential to become the next Brady/Belichick in the coming years.

Great news. Completely agree with Thrashen on the above. Hopefully one of Knott, Matthews, or Phillips can win one of the ILB spots. Draft and FA looks weak on defense for our guys...but yeah even one more white starter on defense would make the team much easier to root for.

Yes, this is a major story for CFers. Last August a lot of us thought and rightly so, that Coop would be banished from the league. But instead, he flourished and received just compensation for his work last season. And, it has to be noted that Vick and Avant defended and helped him in staying on the team and thus league during jig gate. I believe he will now hit his stride next season, knowing that his spot and role, which is big is secured. Congrats Riley!!!

It's nice to have a rare victory like this, a complete 180 for Cooper. Being a guaranteed starter and not having to worry about making the team will be a big factor in how he approaches next season. A full off-season and training camp spent getting in sync with Nick Foles could potentially turn them into a lethal combo that we can all enjoy here at CF.

I have always thought Cooper was a great talent coming out of Florida but at some point this guy is going to implode. Not that I don't mind seeing him go after the negro players with fists every summer and then his n bomb did him no good but people fail to remember he was a loose cannon way back in high school. He barely played his senior year as he broke his hand after he punched in his girlfriend's windshield after an argument. I love the guy but he won't play this entire contract through without getting into more trouble. IMO.

so he is just like the majority of players at skill positions? There are fights in training camp EVERY year. Jeremy Shockey was one to fight a lot. So we have an aggressive White player that doesn't take crap. GOOD. not good, GREAT. I guess Jaxvid was right about player's behavior that coaches want to see. Cooper has a better contract than Jordy Nelson I believe, and Cooper didn't even break the 1k mark (although he wouldve if Foles had been the qb all year, 93 yards and 1 td first 5 weeks with Vick as a starter)

but really is his behavior really comparable to some of the affletes on here who mess up? He punched a car in high school? He was drunk and wanted to start a fight at a Kenny Chesney concert? With what actions in between those years? nada? even when the majority of UF affletes were getting into trouble. 2006 to 2013, 7 years for christ's sake. Maybe he'll get a dui. He has long hair and wears cut off flannel shirts and jorts, he must be a loose cannon. I just looked it up, Jordy Nelson got a 3 year contract for 13.35 million. Cooper 5 year deal for 25 million, 8 million GUARANTEED.

Who cares if cooper is a "hot head". Whatever it friggin takes, the league is full of thugs with little impulse control and lacking work ethic. That doesn't stop them from collecting a paycheck!

Yes could someone please post when Cooper gets involved in a bar shooting or strip club fight/shooting. Being a hot head his another red herring...

Interesting:

Philly.com's Jimmy Kempski reports there is an "opinion among some in the Eagles' organization" that DeSean Jackson's personality is "not a great fit" with the team's locker room culture, and the Eagles "could be open to trading him." This isn't the first whisper of a possible D-Jax trade. Per Kempski, the Eagles are "not going to shop Jackson" because doing so would cost them leverage, but "if another team came calling, the Eagles certainly wouldn't laugh and hang up." Even if the odds remain low that Jackson will be shipped off, they grew when the Eagles re-signed Riley Cooper and Jeremy Maclin. Philly also has an excellent tight end group, and Damaris Johnson, Jeff Maehl, and Arrelious Benn as wideout depth.

The conventional wisdom was always that Maclin or Cooper would be the odd man out, never Jackson. They could probably get a lot for Jackson; maybe enough to put them over the top.

The Eagles appear to be intent on trading or even outright releasing DeSean Jackson, which is great news for Riley. Without Jackson, Cooper and Zach Ertz could both have huge production in 2014.

Considering the Zio inspired CM mob rule regarding the banning of Sterling played out, if Cooper had made the N word comments now, no question, He would be history. Out of the NFL for sure. I hope he realizes this and gets his drink on inside his secured home. And preferably by himself if he has a urge to vent. LOL

I saw a blurb about Riley being the picture on the Eagles calendar for February which was considered a horrible hate crime, putting the racist Riley's picture up on the holy month of February, black history month.

Hope I'm wrong but I think Cooper's finished in the NFL. He was always underused except for that brief, great stretch he had when Foles was starting. More importantly, his infamous drunken rant insures that no team will touch him, including San Fran. I highly doubt Chip Kelly will bring him to the most far-left city in the country. And, I expect Kelly will have "grown" from his experience in Philly and will be more in line with Caste System norms in his new job.

It's absolutely ridiculous to think a man that displays his whiteness so much -the long blond hair for sake- should be allowed to earn a living in the publically funded Negro Football League.
