Drafted early in the second round, Football Dad's favorite long-arm will have to find another team to finally realize his upside:
Chiefs released OT Jawaan Taylor. Taylor joined the Chiefs during the 2023 offseason, signing a four-year, $80 million deal. Taylor has started all 45 games he has appeared in for the Chiefs, but his 2025 season was cut short by a shoulder injury. The veteran tackle had one year left on his contract, but his release will free up $20 million in cap space for the Chiefs, who are trying to get under the cap before the start of free agency. The Chiefs have Jaylon Moore listed behind Taylor on the depth chart, and after signing him to a fairly large deal last offseason, he’d make sense as the replacement.
