79 career catches in four years, and just 15 the past two seasons, after being a first round pick. Total bust!

The Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed reports the Patriots have released Jalen Reagor.
The former first-round pick is without a team again after failing to stick with the Pats’ 53-man roster after camp. Reagor once again found himself in another crowded receiver room that no longer needed his services. He leaves the team having caught seven receptions for 138 yards during his tenure in New England.

“Crowded receiver room” the blurb says. The implication to the uninformed reader seems to be that New England just has too much talent and depth at the position, hence poor Jalen was just caught in a numbers game. The reality of course, is that NE has some of the worst (maybe the worst) receiving unit in the league. So it really should read “1st round bust can’t even stick with lowly Patriots”.

19th pick of the first round in 2021:

Commanders released DE Jamin Davis
A linebacker for his first three seasons, the Commanders new regime threw him at EDGE and gave him 86 snaps in five games. Davis did not record a sack. He also was cited twice for reckless driving. Still just 25, Davis is a potential reclamation project.

Sounds like a reckless 1st round pick to me! Good job front office!

Third round draft pick just two years ago. Another great example that the ability to run very fast in a straight line for 40 yards means little when it comes to overall athleticism and cognitive ability.

Bears waived WR/RB Velus Jones Jr. The third-year, 27-year-old player has a chance to begin anew. Jones switched from wide receiver to running back this offseason in an attempt to retain a roster spot. After eight weeks, the experiment has concluded. Jones will likely land with another team quickly. His 4.31-second 40-yard dash speed remains usable on special teams. The Bears also released FB Khari Blasingame.

He was good in the Underwear Olympics tho. His upside is still untapped. Dipshit coaches can’t get it out of him LOL

Surprisingly, the article suggests that Jones could possibly be valuable as a BSTD. It isn't everyday that you read that.

Here's a list of the WRs drafted by The Genius while with New England. The most successful was Julian Edelman, who had a four year racial apprenticeship at the beginning of his career. Then Deion Branch, and then. . . your guess is as good as mine. Braxton Berrios ranks with the best of the rest and he's been way underused as a receiver. Every single one drafted in the first, second and third rounds has been a bust except for Branch, drafted back in '02:

Here's a great, GREAT man making a comeback...

Hahahahahahaha! Wow. Maybe the black “dog pound” can unlock his mouth-watering upside. This guy is a colossal bust. It was a cause for celebration when the Chiefs finally gave this clown the boot.

Excellent research. Forgot Ebert was selected in 2012. Good player at Northwestern.
