Some observations from Week 2…

Jordy Nelson is the Packers’ most dynamic deep threat. Even the most inebriated, self-abhorring of white drunkards could recognize the fact that he should be on the field at all times. Instead, he’s labeled a “possession receiver” and even referred to as “not the fastest” by his own quarterback (last season). Against Carolina, James “Hands-o-Stone” Jones cut deeply into his snaps. Of course, despite dwindling opportunities, Nelson still managed to catch an 84-yard, game-sealing score...

Nelson and Welker now have the two longest catches in the NFL thus far this season.

Through two games, Wes Welker has 15 catches, 241 yards, and 2 TDs. Unfortunately, TE Aaron Hernandez seems to be cutting into his production, especially on short and intermediate routes. Hernandez’s extreme overuse also seems to be ruining numerous opportunities for Danny Woodhead’s always-electrifying catches out of the backfield.

Patriots’ DT/DE, Mike Wright suffered another concussion against the Dolphins (last week) and was unable to play against the Chargers. His career may be in jeopardy. Despite this loss, LB Dane Fletcher started (and played well) ahead of the injured Gary Guyton. Newly-signed LB, AJ Edds, even received some work on defense.

At the moment, with Guyton injured, Brandon Spikes and Dane Fletcher are neck-and-neck for left ILB position. Edds entered the game during a few passing downs at the right ILB position in place of Jerod Mayo. Hopefully, with a few injuries to the black members of the LB corps (Cunningham, Spikes, Mayo and Guyton), Edds and Fletcher can join Ninkovich as full-time starters later this season.

I've finally gotten around to watching the full highlights from both of the Panthers' games.

Chudzinski seems to be using an À la carte approach to their offense*. He has taken a little bit of Airraid/Mummeball and a little bit of Jack Pardee. Kinda like the "greatest hits" plays of each offense. I'll give him credit for one innovation, though. He is substituting Newton for the runningback on a lot of plays. There are a bunch of snaps where they go empty backfield and four or five wide. That's an effective gamble because Newton is mobile and bulky.
The same old limitations are built-in, though. All of those offenses rely to some extent on the vertical stretch. They all become less effective the closer you get to the endzone. That's why you can generate 500 passing yards and end up with 15 points. Sure, a team can switch into a power running set in the redzone, but practice time is finite in any given week. And airraid/mummeball requires lots of practice. You can't be great at everything.


(*In an article from the beginning of this year, Chudzinski said they would be implementing the Chargers offense this season. That was either a ruse, or they had to throw that plan out due to the lockout/Newton's stupidity.)

Rams with 6 White starters on defense tonight!!! That's counting Ben Leber (half White half Asian), which gives the Rams a Snow Patrol at linebacker. Can't remember the last time a team had 6 official White starters on defense -- the 1985 Packers, Jets and/or Dolphins?

Great example of 2 black defenders both not bothering to touch the receiver down and thus allowing him to continue another 30 yards to the two yard line. A White DB that did that would never be forgiven; when blacks do it their names aren't even mentioned by the MNF Caste boys.

Knucklehead Cadillac Williams muffs a backward lateral and decides to just stand there and allow the defender to scoop n score.. Chase Reynolds would have made that play, but it probably wouldn't have been "flashy" but he would use his "deceptive and crafty speed", to get the job done.

The success of the Rams white defense is paramount...I was not sure after 20+ years we would ever see this...hopefully this will not be a anomoly ...with more solid performances a few more teams may emulate the Rams in the future!! Really fun to see! To the casual observers Leber in his uniform is white...

Earlier this Summer I posted that with the right opportunity BOTH Decker & Nelson can be in the Top 10 in recieving stats in the AFC & NFC respectively...wondering what was up yesterday with the lack of Nelson's stats til the long TD??

Glad to see the 35 year young Brandon Stokley playing tonight; Miss not seeing Amendola....

Been nice the first two weeks with long plays... 99 yard TD to Welker; 84 yard TD to Nelson & 90 yard punt return for Decker.

Have been unable to watch the two Browns games...thanks for yall's imput! I cringed weeks back knowing Steinbach would be out...

It's only a matter of time before Woodhead bust a long one...he can break one at any moment...

Jacob Hester had 1 measley carry...but it went for 12 yards! Yet Mike Tolbert gets 9 carries for only 10 yards..while he seems to be an OK reciever..so is Hester..but they continue to morph him into a battering ram...

They are playing well. It's a shame that Spagnolo won't do the same on offense as the team's mostly sumo o-line remains its main weakness, but that's the NFL, teams come close to majority White starters and majority White rosters, but none dare actually "cross the line."

But still, it's great to see this on defense, to compliment the excellent mostly White offenses on Houston, Indianapolis (when Peyton Manning is healthy), Green Bay, and New England. Having a majority White defense is defying one of the NFL's long-standing taboos.

Henry Hysnoski was just called Henry Hynosaraus by Chuckie after blowing a block. Would he do the same thing for a Black fullback? At least they admitted Jacobs hasn't been getting it done in 3rd and inches, 4th inches conversions.

There continues to be a mixture of good and bad news in the NFL this season. The good- more white WRs are being included in their team's rotations. It's especially notable that Eric Decker is completely dominating so far. We'll see if he's immediately sent back to the slot, where his QB (Orton) publicly said he belongs, once Royal comes back from injury. Or if there are any balls left for him after Orton force feeds Lloyd countless times every game.

The one overriding negative thus far is Cam Newton's unbelievable performance. We can't sugar coat this, or make excuses. What he is doing is unprecedented stuff for a rookie QB. How do we logically explain this? How can anyone accept that the most overhyped black quarterback since Vick is actually accomplishing what the jock sniffers and DWFs keep pretending all others are capable of? Keep in mind the curious stat that Newton's top yardage total for a single game in college was 335. Is it reasonable to believe that he could shatter that total in each of his first two NFL starts? Well, after all, the games are legitimate....

It's hard to imagine, but the new offensive system Hillis is working in actually utilizes his talents less than the previous one. They just won't run power sweeps or go off left tackle, behind the best offensive lineman in football, Joe Thomas. Also, it's comical to watch them "split out" their best WR, Evan Moore, who continues to masquerade as a backup TE, for unfathomable reasons. But we all know the coaches are trying to win these games. Guess the complex notion of moving a college WR back to his natural position, one where the team has a dearth of talent, just escapes them.

New England is fun to watch, but it's painful to look at what's happened to the Colts. It's a hate crime that a monster talent like Austin Collie has to play behind the worst starting WR in the NFL, Pierre "hands of stone-route runner challenged-yet still target magnet" Garcon. If the coaches were trying to put the best team on the field, then Garcon would be the 5th WR, and used exclusively for kick return duties. And there has to be a better QB option than Collins. Tebow, Leinart, Quinn, David Carr, there are tons of talented QBs who've never been given a chance to play with that kind of receiving talent.

Toby Gerhart's plight makes me very sad. The guy is, imho, the most talented white RB there is, and yet he is stuck behind a back he will never be able to steal many touches from. By the time Peterson becomes too old, Gerhart will be nearly as old, and very unlikely to get a chance at that point to start elsewhere. Again, no team would waste a high draft pick (especially when they traded up to do so) on a player that will never be given a chance to start, if they were indeed interested in winning and fielding the best team. We hear the mantra about g.m.s believing draft picks are so "valuable," yet somehow, when the last three productive white college RBs were drafted, the Chargers, the Rams and the Vikings all basically gave away a high pick on a backup- someone that was never given a chance to start. Coincidence, I'm sure....

Overall, though, these games are a bit more fun to watch now, with Hillis and Woodhead allowed to run the ball, and more white WRs than we've seen in the NFL for a very long time. I think fantasy football is largely responsible for that, as it is responsible for the continuing general popularity of the sport.

No one thought Peyton Hillis would ever get the opportunity to be a starting tailback, yet it happened. I think Adrian Peterson will get injured at some point, and if not then Gerhart will have the chance to sign with another team when his rookie contract runs out in a couple years. He has continually improved since some of his black "teammates" successfully intimidated him last summer and looked really good yesterday. With one black RB after another getting injured or underachieving expectations as blacks at all positions in the NFL continue to rather rapidly decline, I hope Toby will get a shot at some point.

Did anyone else wonder why the Rams punted on fourth down with about 1:45 to play, down by 12??? They punted and the Giants effortlessly ran out the clock in the victory formation. Made no sense to me, at least go for it, try to score a TD and then have an onsides kick. . .

Man, I thought I was missing something. That was beyond strange and the announcers didn't say anything either. If you go for it and don't make it, its not like the Giants are going to kick a FG or try to score a TD, they'd just take a knee either way, and even if they did, who cares, if you lose by 10 points or 100 points it's still a loss. I didn't get that at all.

Sir, I'll just talk about Cam Newton. I'm suspicious about all his stats to say the least, but for now, let's just accept them as they are. But what you don't take into account is the uncanny ability of blacks to shoot themselves in the foot. He many be the best QB to ever play the game of football. but what does it matter if he louses himself up somehow, as they all seem to do. Let's just wait and see, just what it is he'll do. It could be anything.

Perhaps weenieworld has heard about our concern over Jordy Nelson only getting the one catch against the Panthers. They posted today that Nelson was on the field for more snaps than Driver or Jones, Nelson had 33, Driver 29.

You're right, when examining the situation in which he was placed, there’s no way whatsoever to discredit Cam Newton thus far…

1) He’s playing on an abysmal team with the worst record in the NFL last season.

2) He didn’t have the benefit of OTA’s (and other rookie workouts) during the offseason. Thus, he had approximately 4-5 weeks of actual practice with his team to prepare for the season.

3) Aside from WR Steve Smith and an array of dynamic white TE’s (Greg Olson, Jeremy Shockey, and Gary Barnidge) his receiving corps is dreadful.

4) Other than tackle Jordan Gross, his sumo-infested offensive line is one of the least talented in the NFL.

Even if these ridiculous obstacles weren’t placed in his way and he was the starting quarterback on the best team in the NFL this season…Newton’s performance has been fantastic through two games.

With any luck, Newton will return to “1st Round Black Quarterback” form soon enough. If his success continues (even if the team is losing), the hysteria will be more unbearable than ever before. I wish Newton the very worst.
