Pats cut DE Derek Rivers - 3rd round pick in 2017. Another wonderful draft pick by BB

I remember them drafting Rivers over Trey Hendrickson in that draft. I couldn't believe it. Hendrickson was bigger, more productive, and more athletic. He was just better.

But he was white, so...

Very true. Hoping that Payton is not using Hill as a decoy in this way and rather gives him a legitimate shot. My guess is Payton wants to see if Hill has the ability to be Brees successor.
Glad to see he got a legitimate shot. A little shaky the first half which is understandable, hasn't played significant snaps at qb since BYU. I think he did great but a little disappointed they didn't really try to run any read option or run pass option plays.

Jags promoted RB Nate Cotrell to the active roster. It would be nice if Marrone gave the kid a shot. The current starting RB is a rookie UDFA. Cotrell is not an every down back but he could be a versatile 3DRB, change of pace back and line up at WR as well. Hopefully he gets some meaningful playing time down the final stretch of the season.

This is great news. Cotrell is a very explosive rb and even in a limited role, he could make some big plays. Happy for the kid and hope they don't just have him on the active roster like Nall just to tease him. Play the kid!

The Rams put MLB Micah Kiser on IR, which means Troy Reeder will be starting in the middle for at least the next three games.

Yes, Nate Cottrel could be a very explosive player. I liken him to Danny Woodhead in a way. Able to run the ball well, but will kill teams especially in the screen game. He will eat up huge chunks of yardage if Jax utilizes him here.

Here's Cottrell's RAS. He's good athletically, strong and fast. The 3 cone is probably an anomaly.

Fatt Matt fired.....

Good news. Fatty the "defensive genius" was so bad he made his predecessor Jim Caldwell look like Don Shula by comparison. What Caste clowns will the pathetic Lions hire to replace them? And will they ever again play a White man on defense?

The announcers of the PSU/Mich game said what a mistake it was getting rid of Caldwell.

Surprise.....Ryan Nall listed as backup fullback on Ourlads.
Artavis listed as backup running back.....big surprise....
Nagy needs to be next on the chop block.....

We should all drink the beverage of our choice when Nagy gets canned, which I would put the odds of happening at least 50-50 by the end of the season. But at just 42 years old he'll likely get some more chances to show how incompetent he is.

Yea it won't make a lick of difference. The next regime will more than likely have the same heavily caste leanings and create another perennial loser. I hope I'm wrong but won't hold my breath.

Trubisky is back in tomorrow. I'd like for him to have strong performances down the stretch but at the same time I want to see Nagy canned.

I don't know if it's possible for a quarterback to look good with Nagy in charge. Pathetic sumo o-line, mediocre receivers other than Robinson, living relic Jimmy Graham at TE, a team that plays like it's dispirited. But yeah I'm a Trubisky fan too and hope he can resurrect his career the way Ryan Tannehill did when he left a bad situation.

Hopefully Trubisky just plays loose. I think the Rodent hurt Mitch's self confidence. The play calling has been awful too. I still remember Mitch looking very promising as a rookie - if he can just recapture that in spite of the Rodent that would be great.

I'm going to have myself a nice, cold bottle of Sam Adams beer when it happens.

I've disliked Nagy ever since he blamed white kicker Cody Parkey for a blocked kick that was caused by the black left side of the offensive line doing a poor job blocking. He unfairly threw Parkey under the bus.

Mitch could easily be another Josh Allen with his athleticism and throwing and running ability. It's astonishing how bad so many coaches are. But they're "company men" who won't rock the boat which is why they rise to the top.

How about if the Bears hire Eric Mangini, who enables Mitch to thrive, installs Nall as the lead back, and otherwise shakes up the team. . . makes a lot of sense but is purely a pipe dream.

I wonder what Josh McDaniels will be like when he finally decides to be a head coach again. He's still only 44. He screwed Peyton Hillis over big time when he briefly was Denver's head coach, but since then has worked with and had great success with all those White receivers on the Patriots, not to mention Woodhead and Burkhead. Given that the rest of the Belichick's "coaching tree" has turned out to be a bunch of ultra-Caste cucks other than Mangini, McDaniels will probably still be yet another of them.

I agree. He's been coddling Scam all year up in New England from the interviews I have read. Mangini has been blackballed from the league - have to wonder how much of that is due to Belichek. He has not held a coaching position in the NFL since 2015.

Trey Quinn called up for the Jaguars too. The trick is to actually get them involved in the game plan.

Bills WR John Brown placed on IR, which increases the chances Cole Beasley may be a thousand yard receiver this season.

Fat Matt fired is encouraging! I concur though, it's next loser up.

@Don Wassall mentioned Mangini. Be interesting to see what he could do if he got a chance with Detroit or Chicago. Seems like he's been successfully canceled out of NFL coaching candidacy.
