Chandler Harnish is one of the most successful dual threat QBs in college football history. He has the size and speed that scouts love, and he has always avoided mistakes.

Instead he becomes an object of national ridicule as Mr. Irrelevant. What better symbolizes today's affirmative action-riddled NFL? I was watching NFL Network when he was picked and the gaggle of Caste clowns couldn't stop making jokes about him. Mayock allowed that "he can play a little bit," which was the only thing said that wasn't outright derogatory.

Maybe he could be utilized in the "Wildcat" formation. That's what he basically ran out of while at NIU. He's more of a complement to Luck than a competitor. Just glad he was drafted.

Keenum and Moore will be picked up as FA for sure.
not anymore of a "wildcat" qb than RGIII, he ran some zone read option stuff but also threw for 3k. I don't like the idea of messing up the rythym for wildcat formations while Luck is in his first few years unless the game is already decided.

That's a shame because Harnish is a great talent. Hopefully his skills won't be ignored and he will get regular playing time before too long. Too bad he was chosen last. The NFL loves to stick it to any White players who get picked last. Just one of many double standards that exist in the Negrophile Football League.

Good point.
unfortunately, it was pretty obvious that these guys would be screwed over a long time ago. The msm doesn't even want people to know these guys exist. I am sure the average fan would be surprised to know that for his senior season Harnish threw for 3k 28 tds 6 interceptions 60+ completion ratio and ran for 1400 11 tds while standing at 6'2 220, almost identical size to Robert Griffin. Yeah he played in the MAC but I don't consider it that much a difference compared to Big 12 defenses (lost a close game to Kansas by 3 points I think while throwing for 300 2td 80 percent completion and running for 90 3 tds.) Hes someone that should get more mention. I haven't really seen the other guys play that much.
if it weren't for this site I'd have no idea who he is

If he had a black grandparent maybe his name would be a little better known. I remember a few years ago a black quarterback in the same conference, Nate Davis was pretty hyped up and wasn't even close to being as talented as Harnish. He decided to come out after his junior season and "fell" (according to dwfs) to the 5th round to the 49ers. He was originally projected late first/early 2nd (lots of articles calling him anywhere from top 3 to top 10 qb) until post season workouts where he ran a 4.95-5 second 40 and performed horrible in other drills as well. Bounced around the league and is currently trying to make it in the arena league.

Beautiful writeup Leonardfan. Amazing how that high 50's number keeps popping up year in year out. I thought we were going to land in the high 40's until the 7th round came through.

Thanks, Leonardfan. The team by team breakdown really illustrates the problem. The Saints and Jets really rocked it. Pete Carroll is about hopeless. Dallas going 3/7 is shocking, especially considering the positions of the selections.

The similarities between the NFL draft and the college draft (aka National Signing Day) are amazing. When you analyze it at a basic level, it becomes very clear how firmly entrentched the caste system really is and how virtually impossible it is to deviate from.

At the college level, you have the recruting services (Rivals.com and Scout.com) who have somehow become the ultimate authority in ranking and rating HS players. For colleges, especially big time football programs, one of the primary means that you promote your program is how your recruiting classes are ranked every year. There's a great deal of pressure from fans, boosters, and alumni, and no coach is going to become a pariah by signing a bunch of unranked or 1-2 star White kids (who in most cases are better players than the 4-5 star rated affletes) and risk having his recruiting class rated as subpar, especially compared to the competition. So, if Rivals.com thinks a black kid is a 5-star, then that's who you sign, even if there might a dozen or more White kids who are better, but do not get rated at all. Rinse and repeat this at all the major programs, year in/year out, and it becomes the norm and no one will risk rocking the boat because nothing can be gained from it.

Since this is the feeder system for the NFL, the same thing gets repeated during the draft. Here, instead of Rivals/Scout, you have ESPN, Kiper, McShay, and dozens of other sites and their mock drafts who rank and analyze players, which is almost identical to what the recruiting services do. Again, no one ever questions Mel's big board or McShay's credentials and how these guys have become the ultimate authority. Similarly, coaches and GMs rarely deviate from these rankings, because they get graded on their drafts, too, and no one wants to draft a majority of White players and risk getting an F. The DWFs will flood the message boards and radio shows, the local media will be highly critical, and like their peers in college, the NFL folks simply follow the status quo and do whatever is the least risky option.

You have to hand it to the PTB. They have setup an end-to-end system that is impossible to breach. As someone said, even teams like IND/GB/TEX who become white-friendly for a year or two immediately revert back to the norm like clockwork. Sometimes it feels like CF and the fight for the cause is like a small fishing boat, while the PTB is an aircraft carrier, it's not even close.

What about the 4.3 forty kid from the Division III college, any takers on him yet?

Cody Pearcy to the Falcons.

They have a great history of picking up white wide receivers.

An even better one of not playing them.

How much of a deviation is there between the total number of white players drafted year to year? It seems to me that it's always in the mid to high 50s. I submit that this is statistically impossible. Without a strict quota system, there is just no way that an aggregate number of separate, "competing" organizations could manage, collectively, to arrive at nearly the same figure after every draft.

The other thing that is simply impossible to explain innocently is the way no team ever gets above 25 white players on their roster. If the Packers really wanted to win, why would they dismantle their roster after winning the championship? Wouldn't you want to keep a successful organization as intact as possible?

The only exciting part of ESPN's typically awful coverage of the draft was the hysterical hissy fit Jaws, Dilfer, and the others had over the Redskins drafting Kirk Cousins. That's the first pick, by any team, that I've seen blasted like that since Mel Kuiper criticized the Dilfer pick way back when. Invariably, these lame jock sniffers "love" every pick by every team, no matter how stupid it is (and the picks are obviously very, very stupid most of the time). I'll be rooting for Cousins.

The one thing working against the Caste System is the dwindling supply of magical affletes to unjustly reward with NFL jobs. Their ineptitude is so glaring now, that it's getting harder for the jock sniffers to cover it up. Throw in all the off the field "issues," and the league's slightly harder policies in that regard, and it's just possible that soon the quota of whites will simply have to be raised. After all, there is no Dominican Republic to replace the American black players with. Evidently, tiny American Samoa can only produce so many pudgy defensive players.

If Austin Collie doesn't get royally screwed over, then the Colts will be fun to watch. If somehow Belichek is fair in judging his receiving corps, then the Patriots could become whiter than ever on offense. Combined with what is certainly to be at least a somewhat whiter defense, they will be unquestionably the best team to root for.

I really despise the Browns now. Colt McCoy was screwed over royally. What kind of idiot promises their QB they won't draft competition for him, and sends out constant signals to their sources in the media that he's their guy, and then drafts an almost 29 year old rookie, whom they instantly proclaim will be the starter? If there's any justice, they will vie with the Redskins for the worst record in the league.

Bigunreal, I am sorry I missed that hissyfit....lol.

I also think the internet and people beginning to openly call out analysts on all the caste talk they throw at white players - hard working, stiff, not overly athletic, try hard, blue collar and all the other terms we easily identify on this site.

The fact that the percentage drafted every year is almost the same and never deviates is very interesting. As far back as I have been tracking it is almost the identical number every year.
