What a f**kin Joke. Earl Bennet. Hass is doomed. First they resign Davis to a 3 year deal..now they draft another possesion WR. Bennet is a poor mans Mike Hass. Hass is bigger and stronger. The dude just isn't going to get his shot.

I can't stand Lovie Smith and his cynicism of the white athlete, we know how Lovie feels about white skill players (ie. Brock Forsey). To be fair, I think Earl Bennett is a good player, but he was un-needed. Mike Hass is a better #2 WR or #3 Slot guy than Bennett would be IMO. Hass is almost as fast, is just as quick and runs just as good if not better routes. To top that off Hass is completely fearless, stronger and bigger than Bennett, adjusts to the ball as well and catches it better than anyone. But Hass is merely a team manager to Lovie Smith.

Hass really is getting screwed. The past 2 years he has had very strong training camps and proven himself and first it got him cut and now it has him in a position with a team that has drafted 2 wrs. Why they resigned Booker I do not know, Lloyd should be out of the league now after his awful display in washington and will hopefully be cut by training camp, davis is special teams fodder, earl bennet is a black mike hass pretty much although I give Hass a definite edge of being the better player. Bradley is injury prone and given chance after chance, marcus monk is just a tall wr who will be given every chance to excel even if he fails time and time again. Hass needs to outperform all these players which he will and hope for some breaks and a whole lot of maybes have to fall his way.

I am about one irritation away from saying screw the Chicago Bears and the NFL forever. As if it wasn't bad enough rooting for one of the worst franchises in the NFL already, it has become even harder to stomach with Lovie Smith and outright hatred for white skill position players. Sometimes I think that even extends to TE's for the way Lovie treated Greg Olsen last year. Hey I know lets take a TE who is known for being an amazing athlete who's specialty is recieving and not being a great blocker and have him block a large chunk of the season for Journeyman Des Clark who is not known as a good reciever. It is pretty clear that Hass is not going to be given a fair chance. All he does is impress in camp and practice, but never gets a shot. I am actually hoping the Bears cut him at this point, so he can go somewhere else. We don't deserve Mike Hass. I am thoroughly convinced that if Lovie is not gone from Chicago fairly soon, I will no longer be a Bears fan by the time he leave. Edited by: Bear Backer

Come on man, don't use the dreaded "we" word at this site. You're an awesome poster, with exceptional knowledge of many teams, especially the Bears. By that logic, you should know that absolutely no NFL organizations care enough about their fans for you to refer to your relationship as "we."

Like yourself, I really hope the Bears cut Hass....it's certainly a hopeless situation in Chicago. With all-star WRs like Brandon Lloyd, can you blame Lovie for not letting Hass play?

I think this season will tell the tale as far as Olsen. He was a rookie last year and had an early injury, but if he splits the receiving at TE with Clark again this year, then what can you say but that Lovie Smith and the Bears organization are racial idiots.

It looks like the Bears are going to be lousy again in '08 and Smith should be under a lot of heat, but he would hardlybe the first coach who is unable or unwilling to think outside the rigid racial constraints in which he puts white players even when his job is on the line. When it comes to the NFL, hope for the best but never be surprised when it's the worst.

LOL GOOD POINT! Force of habit I suppose. Ginny McCaskey and her idiot son certainly have never cared about "us" fans for a very long time, if they ever did. Oh and don't forget about our new Messiah at WR Marcus Monk. Alot of the hype he gets from Bears fans is in jest, but it results from the very real man love that a sizeable contingent of Bears fans have heaped on him. Edited by: Bear Backer

Im pretty sure Hass will be out of chicago before the end of training camp. It sucks he never got a fair shot. Reading reports supposedly Brandon Lloyd is the most impressive wr (give me a break, better yet give Hass a break). This is the caste at work in all its glory and its frustrating.

Hass is gone in Chicago with the addition of black journey men. Lovie is a caste whore with no love for the white athlete. It was sickening that Hass wasn't even activated for more than one game at the end of the season with the Bears mathematically out of the playoffs and Bears WRs dropping passes like they had butter on their fingers.

Even the GM mentioned he was perplexed Hass wasn't activated in an article. And you know when some Footballsfuture posters mention the idea of giving Hass a shot which actually was happening something is really wrong with no Love "Lovie" Smith.

hes gone? off the bears? maybe the saints should look at him again, im still pissed we got rid of him in the first place, i mean its great that we have marques colston, real nice guy suprisingly, doesn't have that typical attitude you would expect in a black wr, is still 7th round rookie money even though he is of pro bowl caliber, and not making a huge fuss over a new contract, but it would still be nice to have a consistent receiver besides him, i believe devery henderson, our speed burner has the most drops out of anyone in the league, robert meachum, drafted in the first round couldn't even learn the playbook his rookie year, i mean he did have an injury, but he was good to play half way through the season, and if we got shockey out of all of this too, man, we would be awesome, drew brees, shockey, mike hass, and marques colston

I've got a feeling this is Mike's year. Smith will be on the hot seat and no matter his anti-White bias, he's in between a rock and a hard place. Especially if he gets rid of Mike and Hass turns up on another team and does real good. Look for Mike to crack the starting lineup sometime this year.

What I meant to say is Hass WILL be gone by the final cuts. But this might actually be good news! Maybe he'll catch on with a team that aren't caste whores!

The 49ers don't have a white receiver. Hass or Matt Jones would be a good choice to work with Mike Martz's new offense in San Fran.

I was thinking the same thing. Martz is one of the very few NFL coaches I can actually stomach. He always employs one or more white WR. Maybe he'll make a push for Jones....seeing as the rest of their WRs are pathetic (I'm starting to notice a trend).

Which makes one wonder if Mike Furrey will still be doing his thing in Detroit post-Martz.

Here's an update I read today on the Bears' receivers. This ranks as one of the most pathetic injustices ever in a league that is chock full of them on an annual basis:

The wideout position is reportedly wide open for the Bears heading into training camp, so stay tuned in to this situation this summer. WRs <STRONG style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Marty Booker[/b], <STRONG style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Brandon Lloyd[/b], <STRONG style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Devin Hester[/b], <STRONG style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Rashied Davis[/b], <STRONG style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Mark Bradley[/b], and rookie <STRONG style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Earl Bennett[/b] are all in the mix for playing time. Word is that Booker, Lloyd, and Hester have been seeing the most first-team reps this spring, so they appear to be the front-runners at this point. Hester, in particular, has improved his timing, understanding of the position, and route-running this off-season, which means he could be the big-play threat of the bunch.

Hester is a terribly awkward and uncoordinated WR. Simply put, he can't catch or run routes....he should fit in well in the NFL!

The Hass situation makes me literally sick. Brandon Lloyd and Marty Booker are exactly the kind of players (bums) that the Bears and that turd-brained Lovie Smith deserve. I hope Lovie likes losing....and unemployment.

I hope badly that Hass is cut and picked up by literally any other team....not that it would help.

The sissies who run the NFL are scared by a white WR like Hass, because he'll prove the caste system wrong every chance he gets. He burned every "true afflete" in college on nearly every play....can you imagine what he could do in the ultra-watered-down NFL?

Regardless of what happens, I'll always remember Mike Hass as a Belitnikoff winner, a caste-breaker, and the best pair of hands I've ever seen in the NCAA.

Devin Hester is holding out, that should give Hass more reps, hopefully the coaches will see how good he is. The Bears did sign a WR, Ryan Grice Mullen. He is smaller than Hass and ran a 4.53 compared to Mike's 4.58. Will be interesting to see what happens here. I really hope Mike can make the most of this opportunity to rise above all these scrubs they drafted.

MIke Hass is a good receiver but he has no ability after the catch and is to small to be a possession receiver.

I have to disagree with you there. Haas isn't any smaller height wise than Wes Welker and he does run a lugit 4.5 and occasionally better than that so he should be able to make some plays after the catch. He did make some game breaking plays in college. We may never know one way or another because he will likely not get a fair chance to prove himself.

Mike is 6-1 and 205 pounds, but he's "to [sic] small to be a possession receiver"??? He's bigger than the majority of WRs in the NFL.

Here's his numbers from Oregon State. A career average of almost 18 yards per catch, not bad for a guy with "no ability after the catch."Next time try googling for the basic facts before showing your ignorance.

Hass is no possession WR. His college tapes show him more as an agile, field-stretching, pure athlete with amazing hands.

Mike Hass can jump, run, and catch with Randy Moss and Terrell Owens. He's definately a better athlete than Owens, who has pathetic hands and is quite dopic.

Hass doesnt seem like he's going to give up on his dream so easily, and we cant give up on him either.

Thrashen I respect your support of white athletes, but to say Hass is a better athlete than Terrell Owens is a stretch. Sure Hass has better hands and runs equally good routes, but he isn't as strong or fast or tall to help on the jump ball. Owens also doesn't have bad hands. When Owens dropped 15 passes on the year he had a broken thumb.

My comparison of Hass would be an Issac Bruce type WR and Bruce is about the same height btw. Hass ran a 4.59 at the NFL combine which is similar speed to Bruce and Jerry Rice . It was also the same time as Mario Manningham from this year, another similar WR. But Manningham ran in the mid 4.4s at his Pro Day and Hass ran a 4.56.

Hass ran a ridiculous 6.59 3-cone at his Pro-day showing his elite burst and change of direction skills. He also posted an impressive 36.5 inch vertical at his Pro-day and if I recall a 1.50 10 yard clip which equals Darren McFadden over the first 10 yards.

Hass could be a talented WR, but he would be an Issac Bruce type and will not be a "field stretcher" in the NFL. Hass would be a good #2 possesion WR who can move the chains and run good routes and occasionally break a long catch. There is no better guy for the QB to trust on third down than Hass to catch the ball, but to say Hass has Randy Moss/ Terrell Owens type potential is definitely a stretch! Kevin Curtis and Jordy Nelson have that type of ability, (maybe even Drew Bennett or Matt Jones if they could figure it out) but Hass most certainly does not!

Hass has a lot of gifts, but speed and pure strength are not his gifts. Short area burst, route running, hands and courage are his gifts and there are some black #2 WRs in the NFL who fit the Mike Hass profile to a tea. But as we all know Hass is white and whites have to be phenomenal at every thing to get a shot and that is where the discrimination lies.

For instance at RB, unless a white comes along who gets to play for a big college program, becomes an all American and brings skills reminiscent of Barry Sanders they will not get a shot. Whites have to do so much more to earn respect in the racist NFL! The drunken white fan and media hate as well as the skepticism of blacks who think RB, CB and WR are "their" chosen positions is just too strong right now!

Edited for grammar of course. It's just so much easier to proof read your paragraphs after you post them.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins
