Great Goal Thread

nowadays, you almost never see a player "chip" the ball like that (i don't know if you say it like that)

Yes, "chip" is the correct term .

KAZIMIERZ DEYNA (Poland) vs Italy - 1974 World Cup, First Round:

Hi everybody, first post.

Michael Laudrup's goal in Juventus vs Argentinos Junior (Intercontinental cup finals, Tokyo 1985, 2:2, 6:4 after penalties).
Great triangulation Laudrup-Platini-Laudrup which takes out the whole defense, then notice how he doesnt fall after goalkeeper's foul but continues and scores from an incredibly tight angle. Most of today's players (especially the colored sort) would fall and then ask for a penalty, but not our great Dane. Sheer willpower, and he gets his goal in the last minutes of the match.

incredible goal from inzaghi, with his left foot (he is right footed)
a goal requiring incredible technique

dagoberto during sao paulo 's last match

inzaghi's goal in the final of the champions league in 2007 i think

he also scored milan's second goal during this final

you see the goal at 0.36 and a replay at 0.52

i heard a lot of people say this goal wasn't intentional, and thus down-play inzaghi
but this goal was prepared, pirlo strikes and inzaghi touches the ball to beat the goal keeper, who goes in the wrong direction

they scored the EXACT same goal multiple times
for example, i found it in this video at 2.48

dagoberto "dagol" during rogerio ceni match number 1000 for sao paulo

Inzaghi is a big diver though. I think he had the worst dive I've ever seen against Celtic if I remember right.

pato against barcelona in the last champions league match

look at pato in this video
he mutated
he is so powerfull and explosive
for me, he is the best footballer in the world
the last to be as good as him was ronaldo the brazilian

there have been a lot of excellent footballers, some are legends, right now there is messi, he is a monster, but pato for me is a better footballer

in this video you can see ronaldo doing the same dribble as pato against barcelona at 1.12
i hope pato will be even better than ronaldo
he needs to avoid injuries

yesterday, another goal by dagoberto

Igor Tudor's 93rd minute volley in Juventus-Deportivo 3:2, Champions League 2003. For me the Croatian Igor Tudor was a great player, aggressive, warrior, never giving up, excellent technique for a defender (you can see it from this goal). A terrifying presence in the penalty area during corners and free kicks with his 194cm (he almost had a physique of a basketball player). Very useful in brawls for the same reason:biggrin: (still remember him slapping around an annoying Francesco Totti). Unfortunately, he was also one of the unluckyest players I remember with constant injuries. His career was cut short at age 30 by a recurring ankle injury. He came from Hajduk Split, a squad that produced a number of excellent players (from Surjak in the 70s to Boksic in the 90s to Nikica Jelavic and Dario Srna today).
2003 was a magical year for Juve. An excellent team with Alex Del Piero at his prime, Camoranesi, Nedved, Buffon, Trezeguet and many others. They won the serie A and reached the CL final by defeating both Barcelona and Real Madrid but were unlucky to be defeated by AC Milan in the final on penalty kicks... And to think that they were stripped of 2 championship in that period for alleged cheating (their manager Luciano Moggi was just sentenced to 5 years in prison) is preposterous for me. No need to cheat with a squad like that...

The goal was made after managing a great maneuver..
Mark Viduka is really good.. Playing in various teams like celtic and new castle united and even being a captain are proofs how good he is..

semi final of the 1999-2000 champions league, second match, in manchester
the goal is scored by raul, but what is beautiful is fernando redondo's dribble
i have never seen something like that again

a classy player, he refused to get paid when he was injuried while playing for ac milan
a legend in real madrid
one of my favorite players of all time
i had the same haircut at the time, now my hair is too curly,it changed when i was 16-18 years
