The only reason Benzema is a Real player is because he's a Arab marketing player....most 'normal' Real fans would've got that by now.


Sadly,I cannot see Real get rid of him in the near future.They've already sold one Arab(okay,Turk...whatever) and Benzema's departure will mean that Real will have only one Arab on its roster(Khedira)....that's a disaster!
For Perez and his cronies anyways,that is.

Maybe they will only sell him if they can replace him with another Arab......and that thought frightens me.

Benzema,Ozil,Nasri are pretty much the best arabs out there.Burak Yilmaz could be the one though.

Fantastic coordination on this volley-lob, one of the most difficult shots. Also kept his cool after scoring instead of the usual stupid goal celebration including some sort of African tribal dance as is all too common today. Spain is producing some fantastic players and they are all White.

Mucky pitches used to be a common explanation for the lack of 'technical skills' amongst British players. The ones playing today almost certainly had perfect conditions to train on at their well-funded academies in the 90s and the 2000s so what excuses do they have?

He can't even pass the ball with his right so why, oh, why, do defenders keep allowing him onto his left coming in from the right flank just outside the box? Anyway, it just happened again with predictable result - a Bayern goal - with Arsenal's defenders being caught this time. Even so it was struck sweetly by Robben. No video available yet.

Today’s effete, egotistical managers and their pampered multi-millionaire “stars” would blanch in terror at the prospect of having to play on such a churned up paddock. Modern “playmakers” and “record goalscorers” are accustomed to meticulously manicured surfaces and would struggle to dribble or complete a pass on that vintage 1969 Ibrox pitch.

I’d love to see Messi, Ronaldo, and the other mollycoddled megastars of 2017 “weave their magic” on a heavy, uneven 1960s ground with a 1960s ball, wearing 1960s boots and kit - all subject to 1960s regulations and “non-protective” 1960s refereeing. The soft little poseurs would be in tears within a minute…

The English / British players of the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s were far more inventive, intuitive and technically skilled than their money-grubbing, supposedly “ultra-professional” successors of today - and all without the “training”, “guidance”, and “discipline” bestowed by multi-million pound “academies”...

Despite the modern game’s primary emphasis on pants-shitting prevention of scoring and an over-intellectualising of whiteboard tactics to the point of comedic absurdity, highly-paid managers often seem surprisingly incapable of grasping the very basics of defending. Academies inculcate a mechanical rigidity that suppresses players’ individual initiative from the earliest age. Defenders are taught to robotically adhere to managerial instructions and consequently give the impression of not being able to read the game and make their own decisions accordingly.

As You said, anyone with even half a footballing brain can see the most effective way of potentially containing Robben - yet the combined “genius” of Arsene Wenger and his insanely remunerated array of defensive incompetents appear oblivious to something which a kid playing in a 1970s street football match would figure out in no time and try his damnedest to accomplish.
