In 2010, Canelo fought Jose Cotto, the brother of Miguel Cotto and was wobbled and hurt. He recovered and eventually won the fight, but it showed that he can be hurt. He was 150 pounds in that fight. Weight is important for Canelo and being off the juice could be a big problem for him in terms of being able to absord GGGs power. I think we will know within 5 rounds if he can withstand the punishment. Canelo has always been a bit of a shady fighter. I remember reading that he weighed in at 155 to fight Amir Khan, and then stepped in the ring the next night at something like 185 lbs. Canelo has always been looking for ways to get the advantage which no doubt comes from his mentor in drag De La Gaya. I will be pulling for GGG to win via TKO and then retire, leaving nowhere to go for De La Hoya and his team of cheaters.
