In 2010, Canelo fought Jose Cotto, the brother of Miguel Cotto and was wobbled and hurt. He recovered and eventually won the fight, but it showed that he can be hurt. He was 150 pounds in that fight. Weight is important for Canelo and being off the juice could be a big problem for him in terms of being able to absord GGGs power. I think we will know within 5 rounds if he can withstand the punishment. Canelo has always been a bit of a shady fighter. I remember reading that he weighed in at 155 to fight Amir Khan, and then stepped in the ring the next night at something like 185 lbs. Canelo has always been looking for ways to get the advantage which no doubt comes from his mentor in drag De La Gaya. I will be pulling for GGG to win via TKO and then retire, leaving nowhere to go for De La Hoya and his team of cheaters.

GGG looked great at the weigh-in. He is more ripped than the last fight and has a relaxed look on his face. Unlike Canela, who was also ripped, but was a bundle of nerves. Canela attempted to bum rush GGG on the face off. GGG just stared him down with a death glare without flinching. Their entourages stepped in and started pushing each other. LOL. Canela is in for a world of hurt trmw.

Dude Carnelo asada is on the menu. He looked drained, I noticed he had trouble standing up, stumbling.

I feel that it has to be said: Oscar looks like Fred Flintstone, and Canelo looks like Barney Rubble. Except I highly doubt that Fred Flintstone would ever be caught dead trying to pull on Wilma's G-strings.

Golovkin by late KO, or wide decision on compubox, because if it goes to the judges they'll give it to Alvarez even if he is out on his feet at the end of 12.

He fell off his chair just prior to the stare down, he was seen popping pills after the weigh-in and attempting to intimidate a silent killer. A bundle of nerves because he knows he will not have the PEDs to rely on. Can not wait for tomorrow.

They NEED to Drug Test Canelo an Hour before the fight...DO NOT TRUST HIM! If he's truly off the roids GGG TKO's him. Very doubtful he last 12 rounds. He was on the Roids 1st fight but Golden Boy Productions looked the other way. That was the only reason he lasted 12 last time. GGG will start to open up with some Haymakers in middle of the fight!

What kind of pill was put into Canelo's mouth after weigh in???

It could be just salt pills.

He is has been the master of water cuts for years. Really PEDnelo should be fighting at 168 or even 175 but with the steroid he pissed hot for it allows the loss of more fat, that's why he has had the super human bodybuilder look for years now.

Ps if anybody is lurking or is a poster if my pirate feed holds up I will give a general rbr update and ESPN has one too with Rafael or another writer giving their rbr updates.

Alvarez to "win" in the same manner Ward "won" against Kovalev, probably even crazier. Who knows what they have scripted up but no Euro fighter will ever beat the house fighter in Las Vegas. They made they perfectly clear Kovalev-Ward and Alvarez-GGG I. Adalie Byrd is still judging fights in Nevada.

See GGG dominating. Possible late round TKO. Canela is rattled based on his erratic behavior last night. He is panic mode. No PEDs to give him comfort. It's all mano o mano tonight.

First up Choclatito warmed up slowly but halted his over matched Mexican opponent.

I didn't watch this fight as I was cleaning my kitchen. From what the announcers said he looks similar to what he has looked like at 115 and is clearly on the down side but is still a live opponent against a world class 115 pound fighter.

PS in the second bout Spike O'Sullivan looks like the anti-Irish gang member played by Daniel Day Lewis in the Gangs of New York.....

Well "Bill the Butcher" tasted a tomahawk from David Lemieux.

The fight was over the minute Lemieux connected cleanly. Lemieux could be on ice for PEDenlo if he can beat GGG tonight.

Great summary! Wow 2 KOs to start off the card!

Up next Jaime Munguia should whack out his White Canadian cannon fodder opponent.

The obscure Cook is from a outer suburb of my hometown and I have never heard from him.

The only chance he should have is if he ties Munguia in knots, but he has been scouted by Golden Shower Promotions to highlight the best of Munguia.

Munguia is one tall Mexican.
Believe or not but he has significant White blood as his maternal grandmother looks like a full blooded Spaniard.

Munguia teed off on Cook and stopped him in the third round.

Cook while durable had no ability to land anything but single punches and retreated to the ropes while absorbing terrible punishment.

Weeks had no choice but stop this mismatch after the third round knockdown and the follow up assault.

I'm back and the fight should start at 11.30PM EST. The pre fight ceremonies should start in a few minutes.

Spoke too soon, not impressed by Munguia. Hype is overrated.

Does every Mexican come into the ring with ethnic music? I maybe have seen one Mexican- American come into the ring to heavy metal music but that's about it.......

The first round looked like a marginal GGG round as he seemed to out jab PEDnelo. Is it me or does Canelo look tiny compared to the first fight?

The second looked like PEDenlo round as he landed a few good power combinations. But it was another tight tactical round.

I thought GGG won the third with better boxing in spots and some well timed power punches, but so far no sustained action.
