Patriots signed Revis to a one year 12 million dollar deal. Are you freaking kidding me ? They let Welker, the greatest receiver in franchise history, walk over 1 million when they weren't even offering a lot of money in the first place, and then sign a guy who's been injured for the last 2 years to a 1 year 12 million dollar deal. The Patriots offered Welker 2 years and 10 million dollars.

We've all noticed how white players get paid substantially less than black players even when their production is just as good. I think the reasoning behind that is "hey goy you should just be grateful that we even let you in the league, now take these shekels and kiss our feet" :kev:

Decker is a moron for signing with the Jets plain and simple. Don't care about the "business side" of the things, he has a pampered, dimwitted, half-retarded QB now. I echo most other sentiments on this board that he should of stayed with Peyton in Denver. Just a terrible, terrible move. Jets have a heavy jewish fanbase, major DWF fan base and are a constant target in the NY Tabloids. He will get blamed for the human stink that is Geno Smiff. Only thing I can think of is that they have promised to bring in another QB via the draft.

The whole McCown to TB move stinks, Glennon is getting screwed over. Hatie Smiff also said they may also add a QB via the draft. Glennon more than proved himself with his rookie season, he played much better than the pampered and babied smiff or the oft-injured EJ Manuel.

I despise the NFL more and more, especially over the past few seasons. The Peyton Hillis season of 2010/Tebow of 2011 might of been our highwater mark. Both mark how two white players perform well, defy expectations and perform superbly only to be ****ed over.

Decker scored a 43 on the Wonderlic which gives him an IQ of 146. That makes him a borderline genius. Maybe he knows the score and he just went for the money grab along with the entertainment possibilities for he and his wife. Isn't she a singer ? And I think they even have a tv show together. But then again maybe Decker is just another Minnesota libtard

McCown going to TB really pissed me off too. With the dumbing down of the NFL there's no more need for QB's to sit on the bench for a few years and learn. Glennon played great considering the circumstances. His stats over a full season projected out to 24 td and 11 interceptions. Pretty good for a rookie drafted in the third round on a highly dysfunctional team.

I doubt Decker has any awareness of the Caste System, like a lot of White athletes he likely believes he's one of the lucky exceptions to the rule that blacks are better football players. Also, there were no reports of any other teams pursuing him (I haven't read of a single team talking with Edelman) so he must have taken the first decent offer he got.

It would be good if the Jets sign someone like James Jones, who've they're talking with, to take some of the pressure off Decker. If Decker has some loser like Stephen Hill or Clyde Gates lining up on the other side, it's gonna be a very long season for him and he'll be the scapegoat for the Jets' putrid offense.

Smiff can throw the deep ball with accuracy at times, it's possible Decker can make some big plays and also be used on short routes. I don't like the signing at all, but am trying to look at the bright side. When there was no initial interest in Decker and Edelman I figured it wasn't going to turn out well. Edelman may end up crawling back to the Patriots at a bargain basement price just like he did last year even after catching over 100 passes in '13 along with being a great kick returner.

Decker go on take the money and run. He's 35million dollars richer. That's big time for a guy we've followed now for years! He will have his work cut out for him catching passes from Geno or mike Vick lol or whoever the heck is Jets QB

Edelman and Allen still out there is baffling. If Ware his worth 30mil than so is Allen who has better production career wise.

Not trying to attack you but it honestly is not baffling, it is par for the course in the racist NFL in this cartoon we all live in. The blatantly obvious racism and discrimination cycles through all the major personnel event in the NFL - Free Agency, Draft and the training camp roster cuts.

On the one hand, I'm happy for Decker because 35 million dollars. :icon_eek:

On the other hand, I'm disappointed because I really enjoyed watching him play. That 35 million might as well be a retirement bonus.

EDIT: I just peeked at a couple of Jets forums and from what I can see, most of them seem pretty dang happy with the Jets getting Decker. There's a few naysayers, but there always will be. I just hope if Decker doesn't produce next year because of QB play, that the Jets fans don't turn on him...but they probably will. I hope Geno is a little better next year than this year so Decker can shine once again.

Let's hope Decker is Geno's first read and gets 15 targets a game. He'll need that many targets to match last year's production. I can't fault him for taking the money: if a white receiver has a good qb, the qb gets the credit. If a white receiver has a crappy qb, they say the qb has no weapons. Even a universally praised receiver like Jordy Nelson does not get targets and does not get paid.

The only “talks” between Edelman and any team (other than NE) seems to be with Cleveland and Baltimore…

Multiple reports indicate that the Browns are making a play to attract Edelman to Cleveland. Michael Giardi ‏of CSNNE.com reports that the Browns are making a strong push to get Edelman in the fold, and Jason La Canfora of CBS reports that Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer has been trying to recruit Edelman to Cleveland. Edelman and Hoyer are friends and former teammates on the Patriots.

Ravens remain quite interested in WR Julian Edelman. Pats want him back too. Other teams in the mix

— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) March 12, 2014

When a team expresses "interest," I assume this means that they are in the midst of contract negotiations with Edelman’s agent.

The “best case scenario” would be that the Browns, Ravens, or some other team offer Edelman a decent contract and New England matches. As I’ve posted before, it would be more expensive for the Pats to cut Amendola before June 1[SUP]st[/SUP], so I believe he’ll remain a Patriot unless he’s traded. Having Edelman, Amendola, and Gronkowski on the field at the same time is important victory.

The Browns would be a nice team for Edelman to sign with. TE Jordan Cameron is a star, and WR Josh Gordon looks to be a legit superstar, though he was "troubled" while at Baylor and could self-destruct in the NFL.

Edelman would likely have former teammate Brian Hoyer throwing to him and the Browns would have around 7 White starters on offense plus Paul Kruger and maybe Tank Carder starting on D. That would really stick out in the ultra-Caste AFC North and make Cleveland a team to root for.

There is no positive spin to be put on Decker's signing with the Jets. It was the worst possible move he could have made. We were told he was drawing strong interest from the Colts, Lions and a few other teams- what happened there?

Think about it- do you really believe Rex Ryan- one of the most odious Caste hounds in the history of the league- is legitimately interested in having a white WR as his #1 offensive weapon? This is just another startling "coincidence"- like the drafting of Hester, Leonard and Gerhart to teams that had no need for them whatsoever.

Decker has as much chance of succeeding in that satanic cesspool as Tebow did. Not only is he saddled with a horrific black quarterback, his coach is going to be less friendly to him than Black Jack Del Rio ever was to Matt Jones. And the New York fans and press will blame every Smiff failure on Decker. If somehow Decker manages to put up decent stats, Smiff will get all the credit. It's a no-win situation.

Decker may have a genius IQ, but he has proven himself to be more ignorant than any black playing in the NFL with this moronic move. I quoted him earlier in this thread, gushing over how much better Demaryous was than him. That should have told you something about his lack of heart and self-esteem.

From every standpoint, this signing is senseless. Even if Decker isn't DWF'd into oblivion there, the best he can hope for is to be a seldom used WR on a boring, run-centric offense. He certainly didn't give other teams much of a chance to come calling, did he? But again, his comments that I quoted earlier indicate a real "aw shucks, I'll do whatever they ask me to" attitude on his part.

The money was decent, especially considering how Welker was screwed financially, but as we've seen before in so many cases (in the NFL and even more so in the NBA), the system is sometimes more than willing to pay white players to effectively bury them in situations where they can't hope to succeed.

Question, I don't follow football close enough to know if they have similar no trade clauses like the NHL or any rules about not being trade so closely after signing, but theoretically could say the Vikings if they got Manziel at the draft, trade Peterson for Decker?

I don't see this as a negative as long as the idea is to start McCown for a season or two while continuing to groom Glennon.

Gotta agree with ya about this. McCown has been screwed for 12 years by the racist NFL. Hes always had all the tools to be that duel threat QB we are told will change the game, but he wasnt the right color.

.

Excellent point as always big. Its been my personal experience that people who score very high on IQ tests are some of the most ignorant people on the planet when it comes to intelligence that actually matters.

For example I have two brother in laws that are both extremely book smart. IQs up around the 170 mark, or higher. Ones a big shot lawyer out in California, and ones a "life coach" (whatever that is).

Now I love them, and Im happy my sisters found them, but Im constantly amazed at just how stupid these guys are. They cant change a flat tire, or a spark plug. They cant drive a stick shift. They are pretty much useless.

When it comes to sports and politics they are predictably brainwashed. Blacks are superior athletes, and whites are evil oppressors. Thats one of the reasons I put zero stock into IQ tests. Decker scoring high on tests, or doing well in school dosent mean he IS intelligent. In fact it probably just means hes good and brainwashed.

Generally, a no-trade clause in an NFL contract is a rarity, except for certain high-profile cases. So, theoretically a scenario that you proffered is possible. However, trades in the NFL, for whatever reason, are exceedingly rare. The chance for this sort of trade realistically is zero.

I can see both sides. On one end, he's screwing his football career. No way he puts up stats even remotely close to what he did last year. Smiff is terrible and it's like comparing a Ford Focus to a Pagani between him and Manning. On the other end it was probably the most any team would pay him. New York is the biggest market so he can make even more through advertisements and other endorsements. If he struggles next season he will be known as a "product of the system" type just like Welker and everyone else. This flat out sucks.

I think Decker is a great player, and will continue to root for him, but this post is exactly what ran through my head when I heard. It just seems strange to me that he went from the best QB in football to the worst, without listening to any other teams' offers.

As someone touched on earlier, I think this may also have something to do with that reality show of his. Great job, you gave away your football career for a TV show...

I hope we're wrong, but as someone mentioned earlier, this is Drew Bennett all over again, where in two years, the average fan won't even know the name Eric Decker...

I have to agree, this flat out sucks. There's no sugar-coating this.

Agreed. Decker despite his IQ is retarded. I have to imagine this signing was all about his agent wanting to get the biggest contract so thus the biggest percentage kicked back. It's a shame that so many white athletes are brain dead when it comes to the racial politics of the game. It makes them look even more clueless then they are typically portrayed. Black guys got to be laughing their asses off at this signing. Decker could have went to the Lions and Matt Staffords 5k yards per year instead Golden-less Tate will be the beneficiary of whatever doesn't get tossed Calvin Johnson's way. I guess when you consider the millions he will be getting for the grief at least he'll be crying all the way to the bank.

Concerning Gerhart, nice signing, but who's the best RB in the draft? I'll wager that whoever it is will be taken by Jacksonville with their first pick.

Remember Drew Bennett? We've discussed before how white free agents don't consider how they will fit on a team aside from the financial angle.

You can't blame the agent as Decker is presumably a grown man who makes his own decisions.

I suspect they'll take a QB with that pick. They need that more than anything else. 2nd or 3rd pick maybe, though.

I don't buy that the Wonderlic strictly correlates to IQ score. It's general knowledge questions, the only thing measured is your ability to answer them efficiently and accurately. One's Wonderlic score can easily be improved with practice.

To a point they can. But players that score below the random score are either illiterate or mildly retarded or lazy or a combination of all three. The other extreme is the reverse. It's the players that score in the middle that scores aren't that important.
