Rebajlo, I like your post, but you need to refrain from posting racial slurs on castefootball. It kind of takes away from the message and is ammunition for our limp-wristed enemies. Nice first post, though!

Where is the overt racial slurs? I thought we could use affelet. Oh on closer examination I guess the word "sambo" might cause a stir. Good obs, Thrashen and welcome to the boards Rebajlo!!

Words like "Ape," "Sambo," and "N*****" have been discouraged by the moderators here in the past. He managed to use them all in a single post, haha. No big deal.

Rogers needs to keep his day job of changing tires.  Sure he was 10-0 before this fight but he doesn't have the skills for MMA. He has power and can knock guys out but doesn't have anything else.  Let the poor afflete cry all he wants.

I'm curious, would a high level black belt do well in MMA?

I don't watch MMA much (I did watch this match) and it seems kind of sloppy. You always hear how good the karate/kung fu masters are, if that's so why are these fights always boxing matches that sometimes end up as wrestling matches? I hardly ever see kicks and karate type strikes. Do those guys not want to participate or is that style of fighting not as good?

I don't know much about MMA but different guys are trained in different fighting styles.  I have seen MMA fights where alot of kicks and karate techniques were used.  I think punches might be more effective and that's why alot of guys box.  Brett Rogers pretty much only knows how to box so that's how he fought.

Actually it is a big deal. That's why we discourage it. especially for newcomers. That kind of language is the thing someone might use to make the site look bad to other people. Anyone that has spent some time on the site would see that those terms aren't used here and should understand that is the policy. An occasional slip-up by a regular poster is one thing but for someone new it's a no-no.

Rebajlo, welcome to Caste Football!

I hear they'll next match Fedor up against Werdum (BJJ ace) or Alistair Overeem. I'd imagine they'll feed Werdum to MMA King Fedor, and the "afrolete" Rogers against Overeem. Alistair's not fought a top flight opponent since getting a NC against Mirko Filipovic in 2008.

ADCC HW champ Werdum may give Fedor trouble on the mat, BUT I doubt Fedor allows it to get/go there. I'd see Fedor with a quick, brutal KO. The thug Rogers does NOT deserve an immediate rematch, as he's fought mostly cans (outside of AA & Fedor). If/when they re-match, I think Fedor ends him early in the 1st (probably via sub

One of the posters in this thread make a good point about the camera instantly moving away from the fallen Rogers to show everything but him lying on his back - knocked out. It's as if anything else going on was more important.

When Chuck Liddel and Ricky Hatton were KO'd and looking helpless, we saw those images and replays everywhere.

Fedor has a black belt in judo and was 3rd in the Russian nationals 10 years ago before he took up MMA. No karate or kung fu master would be big and strong enough as well as good enough on the ground to beat Fedor. Those fighting styles are more for films anyway - in reality it is punching and wrestling that are the key skills to win a fight.

Fedor has a book; 'Fedor: The Fighting System of the World's Undisputed King of MMA' which details his fighting style.

I would like to extend my humblest apologies to all members of the forum for my use of "inappropriate" language. The last thing I want is to somehow besmirch the reputation of Your site and provide ammunition for the said limp-wristed enemies.
Henceforth,I shall stick to the "accepted" euphemisms of "African American",etc.

I'm sure that You all feel the same frustration as I do regarding the censorial and restrictive effects of "political correctness" upon our terms of expression, while our opponents are given free rein to insult us at will.

Anyway, thanks for the messages of welcome - very much appreciated.

I decide to check on this one, and OMGness, what a KO!!

Fedor sure gave that fellow (CS favorite) the ZZZZ's!!

Congratulations to Fedor!!

Welcome to the club, Rebajlo!

I know how you feel, believe me, I had an even worse reception when I first joined this good (not & never racist) site (I was simply misguided & immature then). Your first post is very impressive indeed!

Hey Rebajlo,
Don't take it so hard;-) We use plenty of, uh, borderline commentary on this site, "blacklete", "soopa affletic type", "coal black", "negro", etc. etc. In fact, we do our best to come up with new ones every day! In fact, the euphemism you referenced tongue-in-cheek above, "African-American", well, yours is the first post I've seen it!
Your post is well taken, considering the double-standards of the PC crowd, but we'll remain above the fray here at CF.
Now get to posting, you had great commentary on that last and we look forward to many more!

Apparently Fedor injured his thumb during the fight and will be out 4-6 months.

Dana White had some hilariously stupid quotes after the Fedor-Rogers fight....

"The guy just got his face smashed in by Brett Rogers. Do you know what Brock or [UFC heavyweights] Frank Mir and Cain Velasquez would do to Brett Rogers?" White asked.

"It's time to bring this guy [Fedor] in [to the UFC], to see Brock Lesnar smash his head."

"Face smashed in?" Please, he took a lame jab that cut the top of nose. I think he broke his nose later in the fight.

Frank Mir?! Jesus, talk about towing the company line. Any actual fan of MMA knows that Mir is an average HW...as is anyone who loses badly to Brandon Vera.

Brett Rogers punches much harder than Cain "Brown Pride" Velasquez, with the ground game obviously in favor of Cain. Rogers KOed all his opponents, whereas Cain needed a decision to beat Dana's pet, Cheik Kongo.

And let's face it, Lesnar and Carwin would put up a better fight than Rogers...then get owned just like the rest. The always foul-mouthed Dana White never knows when to keep his trap shut...especially in the case of the greatest fighter of the modern age of mankind. His jealously is obvious.Edited by: Thrashen

Well, since the fight is now history, we might as well move on to a new Fedor thread, and we can bury this one with all of it's racial under/overtones.

"Sailor Mouth" White's just spewing the pro-UFC rhetoric & is still sore that Fedor didn't sign with the UFC. Rogers has heavier hands than Nog, "Brown Pride" Velasquez & "Francisco" Mir. While they all have better ground games, if any of them stood against Rogers, they'd get KO'd. Rogers would knock Kongo slap out.Saying that...Carwin & Lesnar would obliterate "The Grim", yet both would (also) lose to Fedor via sub or KO.

I dont think fedor can beat lesnar, I hope they fight next year. Fedor only was hit once in the face when the fight was standing, rogers is overated.

Actually he was hit in the face three times when he was on his back with rogers on top of him.

Still, in typical fedor fashion, he got out of the situation through his skill. Same as his move against Mark Coleman. Considering the weight of rogers, thats a pretty amazing feat.

I wonder how fedor would fare on his back with brock on him. Hes gotten out of that situation against Coleman, Randleman, shogun and rogers, so the odds suggest he would got out from under Brock too.
