You gotta love how they're talking about Gerhart in Seattle. Good blog posted recently stating comparisons to Corey Dillon and how Seattle could benefit more from Gerhart than picking Spiller. I also like how others commenting jumped on the 1st comment stating Gerhart is not athletic or hungry enough.

BTW: I don't know why links I post don't show up "live." Sorry guys.

I'd like to attribute those pro-Gerhart comments to the "Caste Football effect" because I honestly don't believe you'd have seen them until this site came along to refute the Big Lie in a major way.

From the rumblings I've been reading around league posts, I have a hunch that Toby is going to go ALOT earlier than most of the pundits are projection. He's a possible late 1st, early 2nd IMHO. If you're at the beginning of round 2, and he's still on the board, it's going to be a tough decision for a lot of GMs.

Toby ran a 4.53 and the fastest time for a cornerback this year was in the mid 4.4 range. That shows incredible athleticism from a guy that is 30lbs heavier than these corners. I just hope he sees at least 12-15 carries a game.

Another guy I found while surfing around is this guy, Luke Bonus, from Hofstra. He played linebacker at Hofstra, but he's projecting as a FS (due to size) at the pro level. He has been involved in gymnastics (his parents run one of the top gymnastics training centers in the US) all of his life, so he's very quick and agile.

dwfs are ridiculous. Not hungry enough? Toby is THE most determined rb in this draft. He will do anything in his power to be the best and prove his doubters wrong. He came into the combine ripped and ran faster than all of his competition (Dwyer, Dixon, Blount, you can't expect him to compete with the smaller scatbacks who have different skillsets). He was hungry enough to run for 1800+ yards and 26 tds his senior season. He already showed he is athletic. If dwfs can't see that then they are delusional.

I have also seen plenty of positive comments about Gerhart, and I think this site has helped the cause tremendously. Ive been on some of the most random message boards and I have found people quoting stuff from this website, not really quoting but putting it into their own words, but basically the same thing (well a few copied word for word but didn't mention it was a quote). These are mostly people I have never seen on the site, so there are plenty of lurkers who read the site that this place has a positive effect on.

I fixed the line for you

Btw I hate that "Real heisman Toby Gerhart video" It steals some of the clips from my video, plus it is taking away hits from my Toby Gerhart video, which brings in viewers to my other videos. Its screwing everything up along with the "pretty fly for a white guy" video.

Before that video was out, my original video jumped from 20k to 100k views in a few weeks and had people checking out other White players on my page. Now the updated video is only at 2k views.Edited by: dwid

For every good article I find on Toby, I still run across crap like this. These fantasy analyst guys all seem to tout the party line. I think their real fantasy is that they wish they could play yet can't. Anyway, here's the link and what I comented back to this guy.

My comment:
"Cory, It seems your analysis is typical hyperbole of what most want to believe of Gerhart's ability. Though your listed strnegths are correct, all but maybe one listed crticism is baseless. One, Gerhart has never played fullback. He has been a tailback his entire career, setting records at every level. Two, Gerhart ran a faster 40 time at the combine than most of the big backs present, and ran faster than Knowshon Moreno (4.62) and and Beenie Wells (4.59) from last year's combine. A 4.53 40 is more than reasonable speed. Gerhart also out jumped Moreno and Wells with Moreno jumping a 25.5" vertical and Wells had a 33.5" vertical compared to Gerhart's 38" vertical. Three, compare his running style to Corey Dillon (a similar sized and talented back) and you'll see identical running styles. Dillon was never labeled as running too upright. Four, Gerhart's combination of size, speed, intelligence, drive and winning attitude give him absolute upside in all facets of the game. Four, I'm not sure what game tape you've watched of Gerhart's college career, but big-play threat is constantly displayed. I will agree that he may have limited success stretching the corners of the field. However, as a power running back wih size and speed, he will be challeging the 2nd level of the defense nonetheless."

There are just as many negative articles as positive, but at least they are about even and people are waking up. Before it would mostly be negative things about White athletes. I think quite a few of the guys who seem violently opposed to a White rb (or any skill position) are very aware of a Caste system, but want it to continue to exist. The rest are just listening to what they hear the mainstream media tell them. Thats why it is good for this site to exist. All of Toby's doubters have been proven wrong time and time again

This is my favorite post, shows the true intelligence of the average dwf

Blount didn't play in the SEC! He played in the same conference as Toby. He can't even spell the name of his favorite prospect right. Dixon. Unless "played in the SEC" is code for "hes black, so I think he has to be better"Edited by: dwid

I'm sure he's sick-n-tired of being sick-n-tired...

Let the haters rip him away...this only adds fuel to the fire that gives that edge to Gerhart! The NFL is about to be intoduced to a violent but smooth running back who just happens to be caucasian...get used to new feature-back DWF's(btw the average "dwf " probably never really played the game and are just worthless spectators)....

CouldToby could split carries with a smaller back his rookie season; by year 2 & 3 LOOK OUT! But hiscareer can last longer splitting carries(20/10) in the long run; that's the going trend to lessen the wear & tear...but yall knew this already...

I think Dixon is a good power-back for sure...but Gerhart is better...and I'm from SEC country...and if Dwyer goes ahead of Gerhart I'd be suprised; no matter what the so-called experts say

This website is so positive in many ways! I'm so glad I found many who think like me...most people I would rant about the racism going on they just did not seem to get it...(a few do) I have followed the demographics for about 25 years now...(watching SEC Football can do this + my Dad constant bashing/complaing of all the affroletes.....Now is the time for Gerhart; thiscan help heighten awareness to those liberal blind minds...awaken some from their slumber. More people are begining to wake up...

in the meantime while head way is being made possibly at WR & RB?...Defense(except LB) is now really spinning outta control after just witnessing the NFL Combine!

This worries me. If all black defenses that suck continue to be the norm, any offensive player can be made to look like an all-star. Meaning, any black scrub that plays above a better white player can actually perform at a high level as long as the defenses get blacker and inherently worse at tackling, fundementals, and covering. If I have to watch any more lanky armed affletes self tackling themselves over the smallest juke I'm going to throw my ps3 controller at my tv just like that dumbass in the commercial meant to make white people look dumb.

Great initiative cynicaloptimist. Also, terrific analysis of the RB and WR prospects ToughJR.

The only guy I can think to add is Cody Slate from Marshall. He played TE but could be drafted as a TE/HB/FB. He has good speed and could get drafted 5-6 round at best / PFA at worst. I will contribute more guys if and when they come to mind.

On a side note, in his mock draft, Scott Wright from Draft Countdown has Toby going in the 2nd round to the Houston Texans. Caste lackey Wright actually has an ounce of sense.

Edit to add: FS Jordan Lake out of Baylor is another guy who could get a sniff depending on how he performs during his pro day.

Nice post Freethinker. I was trying to think of a 4th and 5th white prospect that can play multiple positions and thought of Jameson Konz who was a good thought. I should however, have remembered Slate in place of Meier. I think Meier fits best at WR. He can play other positions- he's just not as much of a phenom playing them as at WR!

I do think that both TEs Konz and Slate have the athleticism to play H-back, pure blocking FB and even run the ball 5-14 times a game as Powerbacks. Those two- along with Cumberland (black) and Dickerson (black) who are similar versatile prospects- have got to be the most explosive TEs in the draft (that are highly rated).

Just so you guys know- a couple changes to my rankings:
1. I saw that Meier ran his 4.62 40 at 224 lbs...not too shabby for a guy with that much size, route running ability, smarts and physicality. I thought Meier came in a little lighter than that. I upgraded Meier to 4th round from 4th/5th. 4th/5th would put him in the 18-21 WR taken range- and I think he's a little better than that.

2. I also upgraded Austin Rogers to 7th round from 7th/PFA. When Rogers is healthy, he's a very explosive guy. I read from the link on DD- that Rogers rehab went well. Although the guy didn't have a productive college career (other than a solid year in '07-'08), I think he's a sleeper.

I think, I'll leave Decker with a first round grade even though he can't workout for scouts before the draft. Decker is quite the player- with lots of similarities to Larry Fitzgerald or maybe Michael Crabtree with how he plays the game. I think he'll come back strong- and I can't think of more than just a couple WRs who should go ahead of him- even thouth he's been nicked up a lot his last two college seasons.

The RB rankings, I'm basically going to keep the same for now until the Pro Days of our guys.

SoberWF, good comparison & insight! These so-called "experts" are so caste drunk, they can't see the forest thru the trees. It's amazing the DWFs & the caste-lackeys who can't add 2 & 2 (re Toby). I've said it many'a time here, Toby should be the #1 (#2 at worst) RB off the board and NOT get out of round 1.

If the NFL wasn't so racist- he's another guy who would be talked about as a potential Powerback (who could get 5-15 carries a game). As dwid said, Rose had 300 rush and 300 receiving yards in a single season, so he has versatility. Unlike Konz and Slate- he has run the ball a fair bit and showed some nice explosive ability on his Pro Day. Could be a FB/H-back/RB/TE.

Yeah not to mention he ran that time at 236, that would hae put him as one of the fastest power backs at the combine. Granted pro day times are always faster, but this guy could easily pump out a solid 4.6.

Brett Hamlin Pro Day
"Former Buffalo wide receiver Brett Hamlin also had a productive Pro Day. Viewed as a possession receiver, Hamlin ran a better-than-anticipated 4.64 40-yard dash. He also ran a 6.64-second 3-cone drill, which would have been one of the top times at the NFL Combine. In addition, Hamlin recorded a 36-inch vertical leap and a 10-foot 1-inch broad jump."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I also saw a 40 result as fast as 4.57 from one source:
Hamlin Impresses
Whatever the result, you can usually take .05 seconds or so off a Pro Day time to compare to the NFL combine participants.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Brett Hamlin is Agile
"Hamlin jumped 36"Â￾ in the vertical, over 10 feet in the broad jump, while his three-cone time of 6.64 would have ranked third among wide receivers that competed at the NFL Combine. Hamlin finished his UB career in the top ten in receptions and yardage."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

My take: Hamlin is what he is- he has great agility numbers and short area quickness, but lacks long speed. He could end up being a good slot WR or maybe a solid Flanker at the next level, but will not be looked at as a Split-End. His teammate Naaman Roosevelt supposedly ran consistently above 4.6 in the 40, but apparently worked like a maniac on his speed and clocked a 4.51/4.59. One site listed Naaman's official time as 4.53. Hamlin's 40 time and production are not far off at all of Roosevelt- and his agility numbers are better!

Nice thread...great post!

Willie Rose is versitile indeed; good reciever out of the back field; and a under-rated runner...guess the NFL has him off the the UFL's Florida Huskers...maybe is Pro Day is enough to get drafted in the later rounds/or free-agent sleeper?? Wonder if Willie Rose dad is TE-Joe Rose from the Dolphins early 80's??

Not as familiar with Hamlin; good stuff....the local Buffalo Bills should give him a shot...a larger version of Steve Tasker who they still miss...

A positive from the Indy Combine was the LBers 3-cone drill...6 of the Top 8 had the best times..Cody Grimm(safety); Kyle Bosworth; Mike McLaughlin; Josh Hull; Travis Goethel; Keaton Kristick...

Jordan Peterson was a CB I was hoping could get a shot; but not sure how healthy he is...they probably would have tried to move him to Safety anyway...

LB-Matt Mayberry should get a sniff...land on a squad.

The numbers for interior O-linemen are troubling. The d-line numbers are terrible. I really think only John Fletcher, Erik Lorig, Danny Batten and Jan Jorgensen have a shot of realistically getting drafted. Austin English has had injury issues but if he puts on a show at his proday it will help his chances, he was projected as an early round pick after his monster year a few seasons back.
