To be clear, I am definitely not saying he is now in the same category as Bird. He has a long, long way to go for that comparison as far as achievements. I am thinking in terms of general skill set. Dunleavy is a good comparison, but Flagg is further along at this point. I believe Dunleavy was the 3rd pick in the draft.
Yes, I understand what you're asking. I was saying Bird was a complete player by the time he entered the NBA. However, he was 23 years old. As you know Flagg just turned 18 and may have to endure the pressures of possibly becoming the number one draft pick at 18 years old when he should be getting ready to graduate HS.
He has all the tools to become a great player, but only time will tell. Personally, I think these kids rush things too much. IMO he should have stayed in HS and played at Duke at least 2 years if not graduate. Although he seems to be developing quickly right before our eyes, you just never know how they're going to react when they get into the Association, especially at just 18 years of age.
I would love to see him become a HOF and NBA Champion someday!

Larry was much more athletic when he was young and healthy than people gave him credit for.. he also didn’t have access to modern nutrition, workouts etc not to mention diving on the floor for loose balls and brawling with the brothers every other game. Here is a near Flagg type dunk from Bird.

I agree he needs to stay another year and fill out his frame or he could be setting himself up for failure. . A lot of white boys are late bloomers compared to other races. I doubt it will happen though. Obviously going to be pulling for him regardless.

Yeah it most likely won't happen to him. He's not really a late bloomer. He's already NBA-ready at the tender age of 18, like Doncic was at that age.

I watched the Pitt and ND game, Flagg is special.. If any of you haven’t seen him yet, record all Duke games. They have Kon Knueppel also. A freshman starter. I read up on KK, his mom and dad played high level hoops. His dad had three brothers that would play three on three tourneys as the flying Knueppel brothers, how cool is that? Their mom has a maiden name with two A’s in it. Very Nordic. We need more white Americans.....Here are two....

Yes. Rocky B. I posted on the BB HS prospects about his Knueppel's 4 younger brothers. The next one Kager, is a HS Sophomore and has received his first D-1 offer from Toledo. Kager is already 6'8. Taller and longer than Kon.

Awesome. You’d think with all of those flying uncles, there’d be a bunch of Knueppel cousins running around...Maybe there are.
