Yes, I understand what you're asking. I was saying Bird was a complete player by the time he entered the NBA. However, he was 23 years old. As you know Flagg just turned 18 and may have to endure the pressures of possibly becoming the number one draft pick at 18 years old when he should be getting ready to graduate HS.To be clear, I am definitely not saying he is now in the same category as Bird. He has a long, long way to go for that comparison as far as achievements. I am thinking in terms of general skill set. Dunleavy is a good comparison, but Flagg is further along at this point. I believe Dunleavy was the 3rd pick in the draft.
He has all the tools to become a great player, but only time will tell. Personally, I think these kids rush things too much. IMO he should have stayed in HS and played at Duke at least 2 years if not graduate. Although he seems to be developing quickly right before our eyes, you just never know how they're going to react when they get into the Association, especially at just 18 years of age.
I would love to see him become a HOF and NBA Champion someday!
