elitespeedster, hard to tell from your comments as to whether you are saying I know nothing about sprints or are you saying anyone who thinks Carraz is a good coach knows nothing about sprints?
Is there any chance we can get an administrator to ban posters that purposely post in a foreign language? Its really annoying. Gracias.
lol! You haven't been here long enough to understand what I am talking about, but that statement was not directed at you at all..elitespeedster, hard to tell from your comments as to whether you are saying I know nothing about sprints or are you saying anyone who thinks Carraz is a good coach knows nothing about sprints?
Okee Dokee Smokee, I get the drift now lollol! You haven't been here long enough to understand what I am talking about, but that statement was not directed at you at all..
If you want a translate and a little summary: We said: We think Lemaitre can run close to 20.00 because, in his 20.27 in Rome, his first 100 was one of his best (10.36), we think he can really improve his second 100 because in Beijing last year where he wasn't in shape he ran 9.76, in 2014 in Monaco he ran 9.64 his second 100. So it's likely he run faster than 2 last years. A 10.36 likely improve with a 9.6 (even he must run faster) in the second 100. Lemaitre must run close to 20.00 soon. And we say his problem in the 200, it's his transition between 100 and 200 (corner exit). Is there any chance we can get an administrator to ban posters that purposely post in a foreign language? Lemaitre's problem is he is stuck with a coach who does not know how to train an elite talent and tells him to focus on third place. Lemaitre is not confident and needs a change. When things don't work out AFTER 5 YEARS, change is good. It may or may not work, but you have to at least Try. If Carraz cared for Lemaitre success he would of let him go after the London games. I think you have a really problem with Carraz, it's your Nightmare ? What he did when you was young, for you have his name in all your post ? We say, he can run close 20.00, it's not a question of Carraz. It's an analyse of lemaitre race.Lemaitre's problem is he is stuck with a coach who does not know how to train an elite talent and tells him to focus on third place. 19.6 should of been possible...9.8 at his best race, not 9.6...In almost every race in the last 5 years, Lemaitre always makes an excuse. Please, go back to all his interviews, always an excuse. When someone like Lemaitre runs a 9.9 and 19.8 and does it looking very awkward and with minimal power, the potential is there. Some of the posters here bring up Mat Shrivington how he almost ran sub 10 but then faded away and say the same about Lemaitre...the difference is Matt was highly developed, very strong and powerful but didn't have that top end speed, he reached his limit. Leamiatre was raw and weak and still managed sub 10 a few times as well as sub 20...It is clearly Caraz's old school thinking and training and lack of confidence that ruined Lemaitre, in additon to Lemaitre not wanting to leave his comfort zone.He has a problem with Carraz because he has decided that Lemaitre was a 19'6X / 9'6X sprinter so he gets stuck with his idea and bash Carraz because he own expectations are not reached.
He projects his personal issue on Lemaitre.
Now if you believe that Christophe has reached his full potential by running cleanly 19'80 and 9'92 which is an amazing achievement for someone that knows sprint, then you are happy and not frustated like he is.
... It's bad.
