A bellcow back plays 80% or more of snaps. Here are Henry's snap counts so far this season:
Week 1: 46%
Week 2: 46%
Week 3: 59%
Week 4: 65%
Week 5: 50%
Justice Hill has played 54%, 54%, 41%, 35% and 50% of snaps over the same timespan.
Mason is not a bellcow. He is a backup temporarily forced into heavy usage because the starter is injured.
"15 attempts" is not a bellcow. I didn't say "every backfield has essentially equal timeshares," and I also wrote that bellcows are not extinct, but are headed that way, as did you when you wrote "no one is carrying 400+ times a season like decades past." Kamara is a bellcow so far this season, so is the often injured James Connor, but they are becoming few and far between and at this stage of his career it may be better for Christian not to be one, at least this season when he comes back.
And again, a writer recommending sharing the load the rest of the season is not the same as Mason "being the top running back all season" as you wrote, is it? Nor is "the media seems to be clamoring for [Mason] to be the guy," accurate as you wrote with no evidence of said "clamoring." There are mountains of direct and indirect evidence supporting the existence of the Caste System, there's no need for over the top posts. I merely pointed out that your post was inaccurate and it was, how much longer do you want to keep this going??
