2026 Philadelphia Eagles

Doesn’t sound like there will be many running lanes. Hoping Shipley gets going as a receiver out of the backfield early. Doesn’t look good for a once great OL room!
I think it also goes to show Saquan Barkley’s historical season a few years back was the benefit of an absolutely dominate mostly white line. Not saying he is not a good running back (he certainly is) but so much of a running back’s success is due to the unsung men up front. Ditto for QBs.

You could argue that line is historical great similar to the Great Wall of Dallas line of the early to mid 90's without the behavioral issues.

it’s long been my position that the o-line is easily the most important part of a football team. literally EVERY other position group benefits from a dominant o-line, including those on the defensive side of the ball.

a true “evaluator” of “talent” would realize this and game the system in order to load up with elite players at the top of the draft (and in free agency) then fill in with “overlooked” White athletes at the verboten positions.

it would not only put a quality product on the field, it would also work with the financial side of the biz.

all it would take is honest, color-blind evaluations, which is why it’ll probably never happen.

Agreed!

The thing is, some college and NFL teams have gotten away with either a fully or mostly white O-line corps without a huge media uproar as it’s the most anonymous part of the lineup, so it’s not as if more teams couldn’t do this.

Exactly. The Broncos have had a snow plow or almost snow plow O-line for the past 3 years.

The o-line stopped being viewed as a unit and the emphasis was put on long armed blacks.

Valid point of OL being a unit!!

Lack of basics and fundamentals get replaced with long armed sumos.

Hurts out for at least 1 week with some sort of blood clot issue. I hope the team rolls with McKee rather than resign Andy Dalton. Either way, the offense could be fun with a White QB and hope Carson Steele involved in some way.

Hoping McKee gets the start and Steele gets some playing time.

Yep the GM position sliding down in competency to that of an early stages dementia suffering black man.

At least we should get to see some Steele. Unless they sign a free agent, the remaining PS RB should hopefully not leapfrog Steele on the depth chart. I’m hoping for Steele to at least be the third down back since for some reason the eagles seem to think that’s his niche and he can’t be used as a power back. I mean, he is a great receiving back though.

Hurts on IR with a blood clot in his calf.

Be nice to see Steele get some PT and not passed over by any black scrub just signed off the street.

Hurts finished for this season and maybe for good as an NFL quarterback after this diagnosis:

This blood clot issue seems to be popping up more and more with black athletes over the last few years. I don’t remember ever hearing about it until recently. Hopefully the white man can avoid it.

i think it's just a black genetic thing. they always get more cardiovascular and circulatory disease, blood clots especially i think are like 60% higher in blacks than Whites. but high blood pressure, diabetes, sickle cell, all that stuff is much more common in blacks. he probably just has some gene that causes him to clot too much, same with the other seemingly healthy black athletes that this seems to happen to more. but, as we know, they're "genetically superior" to us and must replace us in every facet of life. dem specimens, am i right?

Certainly could be the answer.

Wonder if the “wonderful” COVID mRNA jabs are also causing this issue to pop up more in recent years. There were alot of issues with clotting being reported as a side effect to the point of the internet calling them “clot shots”. We know the NFL forced their players to get these shots, so unless he pulled an Aaron Rodgers or paid for a fake vax card (many people rightfully did), then he likely has that as a contributing factor too.

PED usage is a possible factor too. One of the side affects of steroids is your blood becoming like sludge in your veins, if you look at Hurts he looks like running back/full back more than a qb, especially in his lower body where he had crazy totals for squatting in the gym.
