2026 Philadelphia Eagles

Posting this link, because it's something I never thought I'd ever see -- Super Bowl defense collapsing, largely due to the loss of White, undrafted defensive back?

Update on Carson Steele?

Type of Injury: Dislocated shoulder.

How It Happened: He sustained the injury in the first quarter after landing hard out of bounds following a 4-yard reception.

Current Status: After being waived/injured by Philadelphia, Steele cleared waivers and officially reverted to the Eagles' injured reserve (IR) list.

Eagles have 6 injury return designations left. Hope I'm wrong, but I doubt they use one them on a player that was slated for practice squad most of the season?

Finally, no info on the severity of the injury? Will it heal in just a couple of weeks or is it much more severe? Probably irrelevant, as the Eagles are not going to waste a 53 man roster spot on Steele, even if he's out just a week or two. Reason stated in previous paragraph?
According to wire reports the Eagles released Steele with an injury settlement which usually means they are washing their hands of him. This is a bad sign with his future in Philadelphia and probably the NFL.

If every NFL team views him as a blocking back first and a running back a distant second his NFL career could be over and it's either he has to try and do what Horvath did in the CFL or get out the resume and hit the streets looking for work...https://nfltraderumors.co/eagles-waived-rb-carson-steele-from-ir-with-settlement/
